Mr. Abate was very prompt in getting back to me for an estimate. I took off the day from work to let him see what needs to be done and he arrived on time. After the initial visit, I thought I would get an estimate in a few days, a week at the latest. However, I got no estimate. After a week, I emailed Mr. Abate after the holiday, thinking that it's a busy time for families and to take that into consideration. He replied, stating that he would get the estimate to me the following day. I told him to take his time, thinking that another week would be the maximum time that I would have to wait. Unfortunately, it's been about a month, and I still haven't received an estimate. I didn't bother reminding him again because I can take a hint. That's fine, if you don't want to do a job, just let the potential client know, so we can find someone else. I wanted to get the paint job done before some medical considerations and even getting to this point was a big deal for me due to some health issues, but I will have to delay a new paint job for a few months now because of the delay in getting the estimate back.

Additionally, I wanted a shelf on/near the railing - this is the porch to go to the patio and BBQ grill. Jorge did fantastic work! It looks terrific. There were many tricky aspects to it and he conquered all difficulties. I felt the price was fair - he was definitely not the cheapest quote I got, but I had followed up with references who raved about him - and I can see why - he did very good work. That said, he could have been a better communicator - I would have liked a written proposal and I wish it had not been me to follow up with him on "are you coming today" - however, he had had an emergency in his family so it may have been just that. I very much recommend Jorge for porch railings. Plus - added bonus - he's a really nice guy!

They also did a great job in repairing some subpar drywall work that was done by the original contractors. While in the process of painting the walls, we had casually asked Jorge if his team also did trim work. We had been contemplating doing the trim work ourselves but Jorge's price quote was extremely fair and competitive, and the work was done very well. Jorge was easy to work with and accommodating of our schedule. We will be definitely be using Jorge and his team for future projects.

The process of getting an estimate over the phone was new to us (as we typically have to schedule appointments with contractors) but the quote actually came in very close to the in-person estimates we had done with other Naperville painting contractors. The price was very competitive and Andre was very professional and knowledgable over the phone so we booked our painting job the next day. Shortly after booking, Andre arranged for a color design expert from Sherwin Williams (complimentary with the paint job) to help us pick out interior wall colors and we were set to start our painting project the very next week. Improovy's professional paint crews were on-time, friendly, and very responsive to our needs. We are truly happy with their work, their attitude, and the overall professionalism of the painters. Not to mention, they were impressively neat and efficient, finished early, and even took time to label the extra paint left over from the project in case we needed it for the future. This was a standard conversation, knowing the demand in Spring. After that conversation in the beginning of May, I got *zero* communication from them. No updates if May would work or even confirming the first weekend as promised by Alex. It was complete radio silence. When I say radio silent, I mean completely ghosted by a contractor. Ultimately, I texted Alex asking if he still wanted the job? He finally texted back stating he was was too busy and could not do the job. I waited weeks holding out for this company when I could have found a painting company that could do the job in a timely manner. This has been a horrible experience with this company.

I used Freddy Painting for the first time at my investment property. I found them on Yelp and they…read morehad good reviews so I took a chance. The communication was very good with the company. I thought their estimate for the work at my fourplex was fair because it was a huge job. I had them paint the exterior of the building which has four townhomes and also the decks of the fourplex. Friday even moved furniture off the decks because I wasn't given prior notice that he was coming early to give my tenants the heads up to remove their items. Freddy also repaired loose boards and replaced ones that were rotting. I was very satisfied with this company and their communication. I asked Freddy for a second quote on two more properties that I needed just trimwork repainted. However, I didn't feel their pricing was fair, compared to the other quotes I was receiving. I did end up contracting with my former painter on this job because his estimate was significantly less. Freddy was paid $2700 for the decks at my fourplex, but he wanted $4000 for trimwork on the current job. That wasn't working for me. I would try Freddy Painting again in the future to see if his quote would be fair like the first job. He did good work.
