We got Paul's name from a neighbor who a) has known him for years and b) has used Pacer to paint their house over the years. During the pandemic, I watched Pacer paint their house from my home office, and not only did they do a great job on the house, they were speedy! My husband and I had been talking about painting our house a darker color for years- we had a terribly chipping maroon skirting around the house that needed to go and a basic beige color that was also chipping in areas. A fresh change was needed! Paul is very nice, super responsive and helpful to those of us who have never painted our house before (color match, paint questions, etc.). We had some cracked siding pieces, as well as crumbling spots on our Hardie Board cement siding- we picked up matching Hardie Board siding boards at Lowe's and Pacer was able to cut and install pieces to the spots that needed it, as well as replace wood trim boards so the finished product just knocks it out of the park! After 1 day of scrapping and 2 days of painting, I came home to a completely brand new house! We went bold (pictures below) from beige to a dark navy- my phone was blowing up with text messages from all of my neighbors of how much they loved how it looked. In 5 days, the crew was finished, and this was no small job! The crew of 3 were super friendly as well- when you paint your house stark white, you start noticing exterior doors that aren't so white, so we asked them to paint them too. No problem! They are super meticulous and by no means sloppy- the edging of the two colors meeting is on point. Highly recommend this crew to anyone! read more

Absolutely outstanding work. Our townhome hadn't been painted in nearly 12 years, banged up here and there with 20ft high ceilings near the loft that needed to be taped and touched up. I really thought it would take forever and be extremly costly. It took 3.5 days and the price was unbeatable really. The quality of the work was outstanding and Paul's foreman Jose was a real professional that left no trace of anything other than a job extremly well done. A rushed mess. They crew was clearly in a hurry to get through the job and get paid. Paint was splattered all over my counter tops, doors, and flooring. Several spots in my family room had paint slopped on the carpet. Garbage and food wrappers were left throughout my house at the end of each day, and they never once vacuumed up dust/debris. (The only place I saw drop cloths used was on some furniture, not all.) After the job was completed, I noticed that they only did 1 coat on several walls (paid for 2) and only primed several stretches of baseboard. Just about every electrical outlet and light fixture got paint on them, which really stands out. I expected better attention to detail for a 5 figure paint job... or at least some masking tape and general cleanup. I debated calling them back out, but it was less work to just fix their rushed mess myself. read more

Our home hadn't been painted in over 20 years so it desperately needed a team to repair the trouble spots, wash the parts that had some mildew, etc. Their estimated price was very fair and from the minute they started, you could tell they were a quality operation. The site was neat, the crew was very professional and they did everything the old fashioned way (i.e. no shortcuts). The outcome exceeded our expectations and so many neighbors have stopped us to tell us how much they liked the colors. The house looks brand new and we're proud to pull into the driveway now. Pacer recently painted my place of business. I work at a retail store in Geneva. They painted the trim, walls and ceiling of the entire upper level. Pacer did an amazing job. They patched many holes in the walls due to nails hammered in from frequently changing art work. The trim is all cut in very precisely and they did a great job with all of the painting. I was very impressed by all of the painters. They were very professional and respectful to our employees and our customers. The owner of Pacer oversaw the entire process of the job. He came in numerous times to check on the progress and to answer all of our questions. He even went above and beyond my expectations by coming in after the completed job to make sure that we were happy with the finished product and to thank us for our business. Updating my last review of this company. I had provided them a 4 star review since I had only used them once. Long story short I am moving the review to a 5 star. Basically we had an area that need to be repainted (carpenter error) and when I contacted Pacer they sent someone out right away to fix the spot and didn't charge. I had Paul paint my daughter's bedrooms. Neither girl had ANY IDEA what they wanted and he patiently brought them color samples and helped them pin down their visions. **Updated Review** We used Pacer last year (2015) to do some interior painting and drywall repair at our home in Glen Ellyn. We were relatively happy with them. So, we contacted them again this year (2016) to quote on doing some exterior painting, replace a few pieces of cedar siding, and for interior work. Eric (the owners son) and my husband were e-mailing back and forth in June 2016 about pricing & what the work entailed and then, all of a sudden, Eric stopped responding to my husband's e-mails. My husband tried multiple times to contact Eric after he stopped responding, but never heard back. We were contacted by Eric yesterday, 11/28/16 after he saw my review on Yelp and realized he had dropped the ball. He apologized several times for the mess up. We agreed that we would update our Yelp review to a combined rating from our 1 good experience and 1 bad experience...good experience being 4-5 stars, bad experience being 1 star = 3 stars. read more
