My acne turned into keloids due to derm injecting cortisone steroid. My dermatologist was Shannon L Webb. I've been coming here for 2 years now. I was scheduled to have her take a look at 2 stubborn acne on my shoulder blades. She chose to inject cortisone steroid on them. A few months forward, I rescheduled for her to check or them because they had turn into bumps (I was unaware they were keloids at the time) and she tells me "if I didn't like the look of them, then I could simply apply silicone gel sheetings." Mind you, I would have to wear silicone sheetings for a year or more to see a difference. Keloids will not go away on its own, it'll either grow and any treatment is a potential risk of it getting larger. I'm upset because a couple of reasons: 1. Prior to the cortisone shot, she did not ask me if I had a family history of keloids, in which I did. 2. 1 am Asian. Seems she forgot to take into account that Asians are prone to keloids 3. Shoulder blades are one of the areas prone to get keloids therefore needles should've been out of the equation. 4. This could've been avoided, given a much mild treatment than a cortisone steroid shot. 5. I would have to find a treatment to get rid of a problem that shouldn't have been this permanent. It's been a year now and all three ache had turned into red shiny bumps. Updated: 2 years now and all 3 keloid is still red with a raised scar read more

Just had a surgery done on my neck and It was fast, painless and went super well. The staff and Doctor are so nice and helpful and explain everything. The place is extremely well taken care of and has a polished nice setting. I am also going back to get some work on my back done for cosmetic reasons! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! Don't judge A DR by how nice he is!! my mistake coming here SCHMIEDECKE, RUDY very nice but not skilled enough to know how to use a laser properly. I had some flat white scars which he said looked really good. I said well is there a way to give them more color so they blend into my skin color and he said yeah so he chose a Laser and the settings for that Laser were aggressive. Yes, I signed the waiver so it takes him off the hook right but he ruined my scars. He made them worse.GE BURNED MY skin!He outlined them because he wanted to promote collagen but ....He failed to use a different strength for the skin outside the scars now I have outlined scars on my chest, which is very upsetting. I got emotional few times but he kept falsely assuring me they would go back to normal in time . really??? if they would go back to normal what's the point of doing a laser if there's zero difference made. have yet to call the medical director, but I seriously doubt that this type of place will do anything but make excuses This DOCTOR WAS NEGLIGENT : 1. he did not ask me what my ethnicity was. All he did was look at the palms of my hands and say because Im light skinned .. literally! 2. He did not ask or look on my skin to see other scars that have had sun light reacted 3. Avoid Lanoi Medical Group as well as Dr. Nadine Henley Ruth at all cost!!! My husband came here repeatedly to treat his alopecia for 6 months (he had to switch because the previous doctor (who was very good) was no longer in network with our insurance) and not only his condition got improved, it got worse! We were wondering why it didn't get any better the whole time ‍ then the last straw for him to leave this office was when he came in for a scheduled appointment, they told him the medicine wasn't available that day so he was scheduled to come in again on a different day. They didn't even bother to call him the morning of to let him know so he didn't have to waste his time?!!?! When we looked at the charges on our insurance closely, they always charged higher amounts than other dermatologist offices and even charged for when they did nothing (as in injection/shots) on one visit. They put in some code for consultation (?!?) for that charge even though it wasn't his first visit there. Finally, my husband switched to a new doctor office and his alopecia condition improved drastically within 1 month and the charges were less than what Lanoi Group and Nadine were charging! Great place to visit! Lanoi is the way to go. Went here for issues regarding acne, cysts, and keloids and received nothing but great hospitality from the front desk. All the doctors I've seen were understanding, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to interact with. Assistants were always nice as well. I've had little to no complications with any of my visits and any issues were easily resolved through a phone call. All my issues are resolved and couldn't be any happier. read more

His name was Craig (Greg?) and he stayed on the phone with me trying to figure out a prescription issue until a few minutes past closing. They have awful customer service. I had a question about a test before I scheduled it. Every time you call, they give you the transfer run around. THE MOST HEINOUS DERM OFFICE YOU'LL EVER EXPERIENCE. The reception desk and staff responsible for dealing with insurance and prescriptions fail to address patient needs and BLATANTLY lie to patients. It's been over two weeks since I had an office visit and was prescribed medications that the reception desk still haven't been able to properly fill to my pharmacy due to issues with insurance coverage their office can't figure it. My pharmacy tells me they've sent numerous faxes to this office asking for authorization to process insurance coverage and the office fails to respond. C(K)orinna? / C(K)orinna? lied to Barbara, telling her she personally spoke to me and assured me my medications were ready. I have NEVER spoke with or received ANY message from C(K)orinna? / C(K)orinna? - Barbara claims she sends "urgent" messages to her to get this resolved and she NEVER does. Furthermore, I didn't even get to see the doctor I had properly made an appointment with, DESPITE the fact that Barbara confirmed weeks and weeks before my appointment that I was seeing Dr. Lyford and I even had the appointment on a Tuesday because that's the only day he is in the office. read more

She was extremely rude, and I wish I just didn't go through with my appointment because that was a great indicator of the type of service I would be receiving. My doctor rushed over me and did a skin exam in less than 10 minutes, her assistant caty was also rude and made me feel uncomfortable during my visit. Dr. Bonilla is hands down the best. I came in a while ago to get my toenail removed and had a very pleasant experience. I was slightly embarrassed at first...because who likes a nasty toe. Dr. Bonilla was extremely professional and had it removed and looking great. The establishment itself is beautiful and super clean. It almost felt like a high end spa. The rest of the staff was very friendly and made you feel very welcomed. 10/10 would recommend! Loved it there so much that I booked a HydraFacial! Skip. Dr was focused on telling patient that a physician assistant is a provider rather than listening to the primary concern that a procedure was carried out incorrectly. Also, provider or assistant were coughing in the next room, I asked to myself outloud "why are there people coughing in this building", and they got quiet and walked in with a *surgical mask* (meaning people are still required to show up or are allowed to work while outwardly showing symptoms of respiratory infection). Provider didnt remember what they had been prescribing me, and tried to correct the use of two medications that they had prescribed, before asking questions that would clarify contraindications. She's a woman of few words which is fine bc of the situation but she's also a woman of fast service. very upset. my mom got a biopsy done a month ago and we were never called or emailed with any results. I called the office to get the results and first I couldn't get through after calling for a week straight. after that i spoke with someone who said that they called and spoke with my mother about her results- this is not true as my mother is a senior and I am her main form of communication regarding her medical history. whoever I spoke with on the phone insisted that my mom was called and that she may have forgotten the conversation. this was disrespectful and outright lie. I asked for the manger of the clinic to call me because we still did not have the biopsy results!! I talk to Katy and she was so unhelpful and not professional at all. she didn't answer any of my questions, and when I asked for her to transfer me to the doctor, who did my mom's biopsy she said that she was unable to transfer me. we still don't have the biopsy results and had no help from the clinic in finding them!! manger needs to Learn some skills in being polite and patient oriented and front desk needs to answer phone and medical staff please don't loose peoples biopsy! read more

This place is beautiful! A little hidden gem with such sweet knowledgeable women working there. I started off with a consult with Erica which was amazing cause I didn't know what I needed/wanted and that girl knows her stuff! I am a tired mama that is ready to take care of her skin and I feel like I am in the best hands. I'm under the care of Shannon Webb, MMS, PA-C at Lanoi Medical Group and so pleased with her and the entire team who have shown they are professional and experienced in working with troubled patients who suffer from skin problems and like myself, often times spend considerable amount of time a day treating and moisturizing, bandaging and disinfecting so I'm familiar with the routine having severe Eczema and sun damaged skin while also suffering from Anxiety which seems to trigger another attack of some type. Furthermore, Doc Shannon from the beginning has dedicated herself in helping me with my skin conditions AND she has skin issues as well, though you would never know it. It is obvious that she knows her stuff as the treatment has required different attacks as each issue seems to require a different approach and/medication. Through it all she has been positive and encouraging to me and for a doctor or anyone who is in the public health profession or deals with the public must keep a positive attitude even when having to take care of a patient who doesn't deserve such attention and care! I have had constant issues with both the office staff and medical team. Prescriptions are often sent incorrectly or refill requests ignored. I once waited a month for Ariel to call me back about a RX. Only when I called myself did she tell me it was denied because it was never discussed in my appointment even though I had explicitly spoken to the doctor about it. Over the course of two years as a patient I have been through three different doctors because they are constantly leaving making it impossible to get consistent care. Most recently I was going through the prior authorization process for a medication for my psoriasis. After hearing nothing for nearly 5 months I called to get an update. The prescription had just sat the entire time while my condition has worsened. Now that doctor has of course left the practice and I would have to come in and start the entire process over again with another new doctor. I wasn't even informed she had left until I called. Clearly the staff cannot communicate with each other or their patients. Absolutely horrendous. read more

I adore and respect Dr. Ruth, but unfortunately I can't support this business as their pathology lab is run by a passive-aggressive child name Cynthia. This individual wasted hours of my time insisting I sit on hold with her as she unsuccessfully contacted my insurance for payment. I spent another hour of my own time discovering why she wasn't getting payment from my insurance, essentially doing her job for her, and telling her (after she told me she was putting my paper in the trash and threatened to send me to collections) the steps she needed to take. read more

Had a mole removed, then came in for removal of stitches. Stitches were not all removed. Couldn't remove them at home because they were lodged somewhere under my skin. Called in to let them know, had zero acknowledgment of the fact that they didn't do a complete job and was told I could go to urgent care if I wanted to or take them out myself or come back the following week. Blew my mind that they took no ownership of messing up on the removal and suggested I go wait at an urgent care if I wanted to! The stitching job was pretty sloppy too. read more

Absolutely recommend this office! From the check in to my appointment, the staff was extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating! I did not have to wait at all for my appointment or to see Dr. Bonilla. She was so kind, helpful and knowledgeable. She made me feel right at home and answered all my questions and concerns. She made sure that I was comfortable with the procedure and made herself available for any questions or follow ups. If you're looking for a dermatologist, this is the place. So update...I decided to try out the hydrofacial to see if it would help with my blackheads and congestion around my chin. And wow! After only one treatment, I could tell a huge difference. Janee is amazing and so nice! She made me feel very comfortable and recommended some glycolic/ saylicilic padsto help. I came back for my second facial and we both could tell and huge difference in the lack of congestion in my face. I've always struggled with blackheads and felt like I had to wear some coverup every day to feel comfortable. Not anymore!
