Last month I had an appointment at Dr. Mona Mofid's office. When I walked inside I was immediately struck by the level of class, design and decoration. It was very apparent that a great attention to detail was made in order to create an inviting and calm atmosphere. I was very nervous before going in, and by the time my name was called, that feeling had evaporated. All of the staff behind the desk was friendly and I was able to be seen very quickly. The air of calmness and decoration even extended to the private rooms as well. My consultation was seen by Natalie, who is a PA at this office. She entered the room with an energy of possitivity which I havn't been accustomed to at other medical practices. Natalie was very forthcoming and communicated delightfully. And she give you time, time to slowly walk through your issues, time to remember what questions you had for her before arriving. Time to sort things out without being rushed in any way. Dr. Mofid is careful to explain and convey information so that you are well informed and feel comfortable and comforted. There is never any judgment in any way during her observations. However, she does like to make you aware of what might come down the road depending on choices you make. Which is great as you then can actually make sure to achieve an outcome you want. She makes sure you are informed on how to stay healthy and will give you a variety of samples of stuff that might help. More than a doctor, she is a friend, and counsel of concerns, who eases your mind and worries to something that is manageable and digestable to alleviate any feeling of overwhelmed. She will offer a great deal of advice on matters of solar exposure. From here it is up to you to make her proud on your return visit. I have personal experience of turning the course of my skins development as I age and limit UV exposure and then see the big benefits from just a little effort. As you exit and re-enter the outside world you feel like you have a new steel armor to protect yourself with, body and soul. My husband had a horrifying experience with a plastic surgeon and a flap procedure and he was dreading going back in to have his stitches removed the next day. I made my appointment and had to wait almost 2 months to get in which I understand. when I made my appointment I spent plenty of time on the phone giving all my insurance an personal information to ensure that i could be accepted as a new patient. Almost 2 months go by and one week before my appointment I get a call from the office saying that if my primary care physician is not specifically with Sharp Community health they cannot accept me as a new patient. So I said that's fine since it is a baseline appointment I'll just pay cash since I have now waited so long and I don't want to be canceled last minute ... because now I will obviously have to find a new doctor and wait ANOTHER 2 months due to THEIR mistake.
