These charges are in the range of $12k-20. The only thing I am able to do is hope no one else has this experience. I went in for a removal of a cyst in my neck. Everything seemed OK until a couple hours later. My neck began to swell due to internal bleeding from being improperly stitched. They were responsive and requested I return to Therapeutics. Once Dr. Bhatia reopened the wound, he realized he would be unable to fix it at the clinic and I was taken to Sharp ER by Ambulance. So rad, I am unable to have the procedure fixed for hours due to my BP being elevated while a nurse stands next to me with her fingers inside my neck. This is a great way to celebrate your Birthday. Since it was my birthday the night before and my elevated BP, Sharp requested I submit a drug test. Which I did and it came back clean. I was sewn up after multiple hours in the ER. They gave me BP medication to lower it before they were able to proceed. With the large amount of lost blood and the combination of medication, I passed out in the lobby while waiting for my ride. By this time I had enough. They wanted to admit me to the hospital and open the area back up. I couldn't do it, I had had enough. They said they couldn't make me but highly recommended I stay. I ended up leaving. The next day was 4th of July. Dr Bhatia did checkup on me to make sure I was OK. I did appreciate him taking the time. I went back to the see them and requested pain medication. I was told they were unable to prescribe this and was forced to make an emergency with my PCP. More money for no reason. When I went back to work, I was placed on mandatory "stress and medical leave" from this incident. This was supposed to be 30 days but for some reason extended to 90 days. When I was supposed to comeback I was fired immediately. Now, I am thankfully on disability from this incident as I went into a deep depression and have extreme anxiety. Due to the massive amount of blood loss, it was hard to bounce back. I am massively in debt which debt from this incident and as I stated, basically ruined my life. I was talking to the HR Director and now of course unable to get a call back or response to email. Dr. Bhatia is not a bad man. He just made a mistake and has refused to correct any of it. They are lucky I did not know about the statute of limitations. I will never go back again and when I did to get my record had a panic attack. I do not recommend this institution if you value your life. Therapeutics, Inc. does not value you life and even brought in an Executive to insure I knew this was a mistake. They pressed me not to sue, I have learned my lesson and most likely be forced to claim bankruptcy. Some pictures are below. I said I was not going to post a review. Her nurse, Maryam…read moreMajdi-Yazdi, ignored signs of infection (seroma, swelling, etc) while removing my sutures two weeks later; she did not document those symptoms in the clinical support notes or have a doctor look at the excision. When I sought medical treatment because the excision site had split open and the infection worsened, Maryam told me that the excision site had been fine when she removed the sutures (I have pictures from that show signs of infection the day sutures were removed) and told me that the excision had split open because I had worn sneakers. While taking antibiotics, I developed sweating/clammy skin, chills, extreme fatigue (i.e. sleeping 10-12 hours a day; I typically sleep 5-6 hours a day), appetite loss (i.e eating nothing for more than a week), etc. I contacted Dr. Ostrow as I was concerned that I may have developed a blood infection as I had had symptoms of a surgical site infection for almost 4 weeks prior to beginning antibiotics. Dr. Ostrow did NOT examine me; instead, she had one of her nurses tell me over the telephone that I had an upper respiratory infection completely unrelated to the surgical site staph infection. Keep in mind that I had avoided germ exposure, crowds, stores, etc for 2-3 weeks before and after the excision. My excision site remained an open wound with brown drainage for 2-3 months AFTER completing the single round of antibiotics prescribed. Dr, Ostrow told me that "these things just take a while to heal." She did NOT do any additional tests, prescribe an additional course of antibiotics or consider/recommend additional treatment. I would discourage patients from using Dr. Ostrow and/or her nurses for procedures. Or at the very least have an advocate/witness present.

The other doctor had done 2 biopsies, given me some cream and still had no clue what was going on with me. Being uncomfortable in your own skin is miserable. I went in and saw Dr. Mark and she knew what the issue was after looking at me for 5 min. She checked it under the microscope just to confirm it. And after receiving some advice to apply lotions, she placed steroid injections around the dryness to ease the itchiness. Now I have atrophy (dent/hole) on the side of my leg and I can feel the ligaments of my muscle, and see a big gap of where fat cells should be.
