Unfortunately had to come back and update my review. I have been a long time customer of Lantana Nails and go routinely every 2-3 weeks. I have never been so mistreated at a service ANYWHERE. Denis, you are extremely rude and lack any consideration for your staff and your loyal customers. I had an 11am appt as always and showed up at 11:04am, nail photo ready for color matching and to be seated. He told me "Go sit down NOW" very rudely and refused to help me color match the photo. In the middle of the pedicure area he asked me what time my appt was and when I said 11, he sarcastically said "Its 11:20" insinuating that I was 20min late. Never offered me a drink and was rude to my nail tech the entire time talking about how late they were running. Its 1) not my fault you failed to staff correctly on SXSW, Rodeo and Spring Break. 2) we were done in plenty of time before her next appt even checked in. I will not be bringing my $$ here anymore. I spend thousands a year in services and also have a referral program to send new clients your way. That has been removed from my referral list and all of my referrals have been notified of my experience. You were awful to me, not to mention I am also an expecting mother that just needed a day to myself to enjoy. Your techs deserve better management. AVOID AT ALL COST. read more

I've never had my dip nails look so thin and matte. There was a lot of miscommunication so I actually didn't end up getting what I wanted. It felt so rushed, I was done before people who had been there before me getting the same thing. Never got the hand/arm massage either when everyone around me did. I moved here from Houston a year ago and every single nail salon I've been to, the manicure has sucked. And I'm fairly picky too, which probably doesn't help. I decided to try this place out in hopes of my desired manicure and thank goodness I did! I dropped in last minute on a Sunday evening in hopes of catching someone before they closed- I had a lot of business meetings and a conference that week and had totally spaced that I should get a manicure. They were closing the doors at that moment, but offered to take me in anyway. I had a pleasurable experience in the salon, everything was clean and sterilized, and the shellac manicure from Ivy has held up for three weeks! I'm going back today simply because it's grown out. Thank you Ivy! Can't wait for our next appointment. I do know they get fairly busy, so an appointment is preferred. read more

I went here about a week ago and while I was getting a pedicure the woman doing my nails was going pretty hard at my cuticles causing them to bleed, which at first I ignored but then realized a few days later that the cut had become infected. This salon does the best work, one of the best in town. They aren't as good as when they started but still very good. HOWEVER I was there yesterday and a client AND an employee were not wearing masks despite my request to ask them to do so. The client was pompous so I refused to sit near him, but the male employee said he was leaving anyway (which he did not and still continued to talk near me without a mask). I probably should have reported it yesterday, but I was too busy, so just wanted to let people who care about their health know. It's not about you, it's about caring for others' safety. read more

The establishment has a beautiful decor. The first time I went.. I was amazed at the attention to detail that was put in. However, the next time the manicurist was under pressure to go to a walk in that she did not put enough attention to an error I brought up. I didn't see a problem with the manicurist but management. The nail technicians do a nice job and I was happy with the services. The reason for the mediocre rating is the woman at the front who greets clients and takes payments. On both occasions she was unbelievably unfriendly and unwelcoming. Terse, unsmiling, and borderline hostile. The first time I thought maybe she was just having a bad day but was the same on my second visit as well. This really detracts from an overall good experience. I've successfully had my nails done here twice. Other times they were "too busy" when I tried to make an appointment or walk in. I recently had a nail break shortly after having my nails done here and walked in to see if they could fix it. It was on a Thursday afternoon so I thought it would work. I understand it's always best to make an appointment but thought maybe they could soak off SNS and squeeze me in for one nail. The salon is beautiful and equipped with many nail and pedicure stations. Maybe you need more staffing? I love the place I currently go and never have an issue with nails breaking but Lantana Nails is so close to my home and I really wanted it to work. This area getting busier so I hope they adjust their staffing to accommodate the demand or people will go elsewhere. I'll stick with Designer Nails for now. Bummer. read more

I went in for SNS twice. The first time was ok, and they turned out well. This last time, they look awful. I've been doing SNS on my nails for almost 2 years and was so excited this place opened up so close to me! But, I was there for two and a half hours and left horribly disappointed. The lady who did my nails was so sweet and I do feel bad, but the shape is completely off and the dip powder is so thick and caked on my nails, it looks really terrible. I can't wait to get them redone already. I was also charged extra for "shaping" which I have never experienced. I won't be back. I'd rather drive a little further and leave pleased with my nails. :( read more
