Very posh salon with decorated black, white, and gold. I signed up for the Brazilian membership, which only has a 3 month commitment to give this a fair test. Picked up some Fur Oil for the lady bits to help the hair come out easier in the future. I recently came in to get 3 sugaring services: Brazilian, Chest/Stomach, and Underarms. I've been getting waxes for the past year so am not new to professional hair removal services. I chose this business as it was closest to me. Booking the appointment was super straightforward & painless. As soon as I arrived, my esthetician Breanna knew who I was and offered a water. We got started quickly, and she also had a cleansing wipe for "down there" that wasn't used when I went to a private esthetician. That's a great idea. Overall, the process was efficient and I did not struggle with pain (I do have a high tolerance). I left feeling more smooth than after my waxes. I guess going kinda quick made it seem impersonal, so I docked 1 point, but it wasn't the end of the world. If you want to watch Netflix, they also have TVs available! read more

I found this place because I wanted to get hair removal and a spray tan in one go before a weekend event. The space itself was clean and welcoming. The front desk staff greeted me and asked if I wanted water. Comfortable areas to sit in while you wait. My technician was friendly and efficient. My sugaring room was again, clean and comfortable. They had a tv set up which was nice. The spray tan rooms were also clean and well-maintained. Overall, this was a nice space, wonderful staff, and great service. I would definitely recommend and will be back if I ever need or want the services again. read more

29m-I requested a brow touch up and nose wax... brows were done perfectly, even though I'm a particular person! The nose was not painful, surprisingly! Just do it, bro's. Trust me. The vibe was chill and luxurious. Nice calm lobby, with several seating options. Not taking a star off, but the owner should know the table I laid on wasn't very comfortable with a noticeable lump, more prominent while sitting upright for the nose. I'm new in town. I was just looking for a new place for Brazilian waxing and facial. 5/5 for the wax. My aesthetician was so sweet and skillful. 2/5 for the facial. Let me be clear, it was good but I reserved and paid for a 45-min facial and got a 30-min facial instead. I didn't argue because I thought I made a mistake with reservation. So I left and checked Classpass and their website, both show 45-min service. They don't even offer 30-min service. It's really a bummer. The location is so convenient for me. I understand that Classpass takes a dip from the business, so they might not be happy when I reserve over Classpass. I've been coming to this location for years and have always had a great experience. It's super clean, staff is always friendly, technicians are experienced, and it's easy to book with. Parking lot is convenient but the spots are narrow. I usually park a few aisles back. Even though I've always had a good experience, I was sugared by Breanna today and it was one of the best one I've ever had (not just at this location). Breanna did my spray and she was absolutely amazing the only downside is that I don't live in Austin and can't come here regularly. Place was very clean and decorated so pretty. The owner, Beth, does not care about her customers, that much is clear. I booked a wax on classpass for 4:30 pm. I came in at 4:30 with my friend (we were told to come in together). I proceed to wait a full HOUR for my friend to get her wax done. By the time it was my turn, i didn't have enough time to get my service done because i had to go. Once i walked in the room, the lady told me i didn't have enough hair to get my wax done. So not only did i wait a full hour, i couldn't even get it done. I said okay, surely i can use these credits at a different time when i have more hair? She said she would talk to the manager. The manager said no sorry you used your credits. Excuse me?! I got nothing done and was on time to a service that YOU were late for. Luckily classpass is giving me my credits back because this business is run VERY poorly. read more

This place is the spot to go for spray tans + eyebrows! They also have other services but these two in particular are stellar here. Bre is a true artist at brows, and does them in a way that really compliments my face (the shape/color/thickness etc.). She's also so genuine and a treat to chat with. Beth has given me the absolute best spray tan here! Although I've also never had a bad one here. They blend on your wrists and ankles / feet in a way where it looks so natural. This review is long overdue! I've been getting spray tans here for over a year and can not recommend this place enough. I typically see Brea for tans and she is out of this world, absolutely incredible at what's she does. The attention to detail she gives, even little things you would never think of, shows how much she cares about how your tan turns out. Also, for being so detailed oriented she's incredibly efficient. I'm in and out the front door in 15 minutes or less. I've been getting spray tans for 10 years and have not met someone as caring and talented as her. Truly all the staff are amazing and very knowledgeable. I've never once had a bad tan or bad experience. Booking is super easy, rooms are always clean, their monthly memberships are a great deal and flexible, formula is beautiful - cannot say enough positive things. Also, I really appreciate how professional yet personable they are. I always get a text checking on my tan and can text back to a real person, not an automation! They sell a ton of great products but I've never once had anything "sold" to me like most salons. They're very genuine. You can easily tell they care a lot about their customers. 10/10 recommend. read more

I really wanted to like sugar society. I even became a member and tried to go there regularly despite it being very far from my home and the austin area. But I noticed that every time I came in there I got stares as a person of color both from the staff and the customers. Also I felt the girls were very gossipy they try to ask you personal questions and get very into your business and even shared information with me about other clients which made me uncomfortable. I got to the point where I got so tired of their personal opinions that I stopped being a member and quit going. One of the girls brooke, I believe, even tried to make fun of the tip I was giving (saying 10 cents and laughing even though I left $10) and the girls would frequently tell me about the low tips that they got in an effort to try to make me tip higher. Another girl, I believe it was Brianna, started talking about the fraud election and and I just had enough at that point. I am not even a political person, but I do not want to hear people's personal political opinions or gossip when I'm just trying to relax and get a cosmetic procedure done. In general I just felt uncomfortable and the whole place was kind of unprofessional when it comes to client professional privacy relationship. I would not recommend or go back but I gave 3 stars because the actual sugaring wax they did was pretty good (dependent on the girl), and they did refund the last month of my membership even though I canceled 3 days over. I just felt the need to be honest so that other people don't walk in blind sighted as well. Have a nice day! read more

THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Halloween was approaching & I had a vacation planned right after. I decided to get eyelash extensions for my very first time, I was super excited. Sugar Society personally texted me asking me to come in (I had been a loyal customer), & of course, I booked. The lady who did my eyelashes was a sweetheart and did her best (she is new at eyelashes), but ultimately, Sugar Society falsely advertised the ability of their lash tech. Once my lashes were "complete", I told her that she did good - I am not comfortable with confrontation, they were closing, & I honestly wasn't certain how the eyelashes were supposed to appear. Sugar Society texted me regarding my service, I responded with a photo of my eyelashes so they could see that they did not come out as expected. They offered for me to go in for a corrected service. I explained that I was willing to come in but it would have to wait considering Halloween, my upcoming vacation, & the fact that I live an hour away, therefore it's not easy with my work schedule, and their business hours, for me to go in. The owner, Beth, clarified that they do not offer refunds & they would be happy to fix my lashes once I return from my vacation. Unfortunately, I was sick once I returned from my vacation, and considering the scary health circumstances, I let Sugar Society know that I am still willing to come in but I wanted to inform them that I have not been feeling too well. They canceled my appointment and told me they would call me back. The following afternoon, the owner finally calls me & immediately starts telling me that they are no longer offering me the corrected service as promised. In fact, they told me I would have to pay $75 for a corrected service. I explained that I could have chose to have my eyelash extensions done at a business closer to where I live but instead, I decided to drive an hour to Sugar Society. Beth told me that they did not ask me to drive an hour to them, & that it's not her problem that I live an hour away. When I would try to respond, she would talk over me. I had to ask her: "can I talk?" It was unbelievable - shockingly, she hung up on me. I attempted to call her back but she ignored my phone calls. She didn't offer me store credit or anything, she kept repeating that I should have came in earlier. It was unbelievable. My calls nor my text would go through... she blocked me. Beth handled the situation extremely immature, unprofessional & she robbed me of $150.00. She lacked any kind of customer service. It was plain disrespect and I would have never guessed I was speaking to the owner. Per the Google reviews, Beth has a pattern of handling these situations unprofessionally. Hopefully Beth will learn that being rude won't help her keep clientele. What a nightmare. Please, go support businesses that practice customer service, empathy, and honesty. UPDATE TO THE OWNERS RESPONSE BELOW... HERE ARE PICTURES OF OUR TEXT TO SHOW SHE IS A LIAR, SPECIFICALLY HER PUTTING WORDS IN MY MOUTH AND HER ATTEMPTING TO "WORK WITH ME". You're a horrible person, Beth... the most horrible business owner. You are a liar. Shame on you. I have never tried the Sugar Society before but I heard about sugaring when watching Real Housewives and I thought that I should try it. This is the only place in Austin that I can find that does sugar wax. When I first got there they made sure to greet me in a friendly and courteous fashion and then also took my temperature. All covered procedures were followed and everyone was wearing masks. The rooms are really clean and nice, and they have fresh Linens and towels. There is a television in each room which makes it really nice and comfortable. Brooke was awesome she was very friendly and professional and did a great job for me. I got the Brazilian and the underarms done and will definitely be going back. read more

Brows were in bad shape due to COVID; had to reshape them. Khole was very thorough and made sure I left with a shape that I really liked.
