They always cut time short. They book them back to back so there's no way people can get their full time. You pay for 60 minutes and get MAYBE 50-53 minutes. It's crazy. They wipe oil all over into your hair so the entire bed and your hair is covered in oil. Other masseuses would cover your hair with a towel or wrap it. So don't make plans afterwards! They don't have any training and everyone there does it different so you may or may not get a good massage. Their prices are higher than most as well. Overall definitely NOT WORTH IT read more

After a one-hour table massage, she said she felt worlds better. Whether it will last is yet to be seen, but they offered her relief from the agony that had been tormenting her all week. I snuck in a 30-minute chair massage for myself during that time, and I could definitely feel the knots in my back letting go. Tonight I had the worst massage ever. David did not seem to have experienced hands. His first half hour was focused only on my left shoulder blade. His work was not symmetrical, seemed choppy and unintentional. Mostly it felt like he was just putting oil on my skin not actually massaging. He did not use a warm towel to take the oil off of me properly. The towel felt dry and room temp. I came home slick. I wanted to just ask him to stop but my husband was on the other table so ending my massage early would have disrupted his as well. Husband said his massage was great. He had Sandy. Anyway, David's work was super disappointing and a waste of 90 minutes. I've been to Lao Shan plenty of times and usually it's great. Also, they left the door ajar so it was loud in our room AND they didn't dim the lights until after leaving and returning with towels (the second time). Upon exiting, they asked how our massage was and my husband responded that "mine was great". I kept quiet because he asked me to not complain right in front of David. read more

I used to loved this place, been coming for years with my mom but the quality of massages from this place has gone down significantly over the last year. Today it was the worst experience of them so far. I was charged for a full 30 min even though the massage therapist, frank, stopped at 25 min. The massage had 0 pressure, and was sloppy to point where it felt like a joke. he even closed his eyes and looked like he was falling asleep at one point. when I explained to the receptionist the issue, she said oh, sometimes the clocks are off by a few minutes. which is absurd considering the fact that you're paying for time and if you're paying that much $$ , you should get the full experience. I shouldn't have paid a dime for it, yet all I was offered was a 10% discount. Save your money, go somewhere else. You WILL get ripped off. I recommend TOMRELAX massage studio. The reviews were great so I went to get a much-needed massage. Disclaimer - I was a massage therapist for 10 years and was seriously trained in the Eastern techniques. I am a huge fan of Chinese, Japanese and Thai massage because they are for health. I got a nice fellow who spoke no English. I'm sure no one looked at my intake form because he did things I requested he not. The massage was disjointed and awkward. None of my issues were addressed. And I couldn't explain what I needed. When it was over I asked the receptionist if anyone spoke English. She said yes , her and the owner who isn't a therapist. For someone like me it was a waste of time and money. I went for a chair massage for the first time today. It was great! My massage therapist even did my arms. When I explained I was having an arthritis flare in my right hand she went and got a special Chinese oil to use- it feels much better. I also appreciated that they did not try to sell me more services or pressure me to join some club. It was easy to get an appointment. Some of the other places out there charge an arm and a leg for a service, that is not even very good. I have been frequenting Lao Shan for the last few months now because, being pregnant your feet hurt. And when your feet hurt you want someone to rub them. Hubbs isn't the best at the massage part. He just ends up holding my feet and watching golf or foot ball or (enter sports here). By happenstance I stumbled upon this little place and immediately fell in love with the atmosphere, the services, the people and the price! Last night, I walked in without an appointment for a massage at 8pm. They close at 9pm so I was prepared to not be able to receive a massage. They lady at the front desk was able to not only get me in, but even asked if I wanted to have a 1 hour massage. I opted for the 45min table massage for $55. My therapists name was Jackie (as he said...like Jackie Chan). He did a wonderful job and very professional. I have been to this place a couple of years ago and since the last visit, they have aquired more square footage and improved the ambience. 5 stars for flexibility and professionalism. If you're looking for a froofroo spa-vibe place, you should look for someplace else. They fix your muscle aches without breaking your piggy bank. I will continue to be a repeat client. read more

I try to run the equivalent of a half marathon at least 2x weekly. My body at 57, with a lifetime of sports & work injuries riding along, takes a beating in the process. I have been to this location twice now and both times I was able to get a deep tissue sports massage that dug deep. I am pretty tightly wound and most massage therapist lack the strength and technique to really break me down. In both of my visits, this was not an issue. I wasn't going to admit it or give in, but they really did an EXCELLENT job at grinding my knots and spasms in my back, neck and shoulders into submission. I really appreciate their intensity and effort. I would highly recommend this place for a GREAT sports/deep tissue massage. I am sure they also give great relaxation massages but it is a special therapist that is willing to go "all in" and spend the energy to work through damage caused by sports. Many thanks! They offer couples massage here. The room was clean and the massage felt good. They forgot to use the stone on my husband and do his legs. By the time he mentioned that our time was up. This place was really good! I had a great 40 minute chair massage. Tom was really good!! I felt super relaxed and went home and had a great nights sleep! The only thing I have to complain about this place is that everything is right up front so it can get very noisy, I have been to other massage places and they are usually in a secluded room with the lights low and relaxing music. This place has relaxing music but the front desk and door are right next to you so it could be a little hard to relax. I will come back and probably do a full body massage and ask for a private room so I can be a little more relaxed and enjoy it better! Most everyone here is great, but Michael Sun is my favorite. One drawback here is they don't speak English very fluently, so communication can be a challenge.
