Loving this place! The beds are great and my results are exactly what I wanted. The red light therapy is a must. Looking forward to trying the sauna next. Every single person I have met has been incredible. We always feel welcomed and confortable. Maya is the best! Just a wonderful person. She is very informative and has been a great help to my husband through his first tanning experience. Rowen got me set up with my membership and made sure to tell me all the deals that were going on. I would like to start out my review by saying this is not about the employees at this location. If my review was based solely on the employees this location would get 5/5 stars... This is the worst location in Vancouver in regards to tanning equipment, and the lack of upkeep they provide to their beds/bulbs. As a long time customer of PBT in multiple different markets (10+years) this is the worst location I have ever used. The diamond bed in room #8 has not worked properly in over a year, and when you mention it to an employee they state that management is unwilling to spend the money to fix it, or that it doesn't work because it never gets used...... well it never gets used because it doesn't work. After my visit tonight 12/29/2025 and being told the bed is working, it was not and I had to use a different bed. She put me in bed #5 which ended up having 4 burnt out bulbs... what a lovely experience after being moved to this bed due to the other not working. The negligence on this location is insulting and I couldn't imagine paying their current membership prices to receive subpar results. read more

The "sales people" at the front desk were so aggressive. I saw them cop an attitude and roll their eyes at the customer in front of me because they didn't want to buy lotion. They became very sarcastic and rude to her. Then I went up to cancel because I bought the big package, yet every time I go in it's not available, they machines are always having problems, and I did red light for the first time today and it didnt have music or shake. The lady at the front desk rolled her eyes at me when I said I didn't want to freeze my account, that I wanted to cancel. The other associate was aggressive with her sales making up stupid "snake oil" stories to try and sell the red light to another customer. read more

Nice tanning salon, expensive but generally worth it. Workers there now don't annoy you trying to upsell their overly expensive lotions which is important to me because I resent being hassled and forced on the defence (I have a ton of lotion already). Beds are cleaned well and lights replaced as needed so tanning is typically consistent with expected results. The Diamond Prism bed aroma mist scent is weird (smells like cat pee to me which means it's probably cedar) but the Platinum & Diamond beds smell fine, like coconut vanilla. Due to the location (NE Broadway) there's sometimes really sketchy homeless people lingering around but the salon workers keep them out of the building and it's usually safe. Lately there's been encampments and RVs parked alongside the side street next to the parking lot so watch your step if you're walking along that side and make sure to lock your car. There was a guy lighting fires in the parking lot but I haven't him seen him around for a few months. Wish it was a little less expensive but I like that it's within walking distance of my house so I keep going, & the stay-and-save helps a little. read more

Updated review: Sadly, I will no longer be tanning here. First off, the towels seemed to always be stained with makeup and who knows what else. It's gross and annoying but wasn't a deal breaker. I would just get a new towel. The turnover rate is really high here. Seems like when I finally get to know a staff member and they finally get to know me (and my tanning) they are replaced with someone else. Also, annoying but not a deal breaker. The final deal breaker was getting staph infection right after using the tanning bed for the second time! I'm so grossed out. I asked my doctor if it could be a reaction from the tanning bed and she said no it is due to the fact of the tanning bed not being cleaned. Or they do not clean the beds properly covering every area or whatever they use to clean the beds isn't killing all the bacteria. Whatever the reason may be, I'm done. read more

The staff here is not friendly. The equipment is faulty. My girlfriend asked to use a bed with shoulder bulbs and was advised their Gold Booth would be best for her. On her next visit, she again asked to use a bed with shoulder bulbs. The platinum bed she was assigned wouldn't allow her to adjust the ventilation fans, facial bulbs, or any other settings from the control panel. When I called to inform the manager I was told it would be correct and offered some complimentary session in the Diamond Prism sunbed for both of us. Upon our next visit, the Diamond Prism sessions were not added to my account. I opted to tan in their Gold Booth, that had to be reset after I tried to turn it on. Even after I had their Gold booth reset it did not turn on properly. Ever other bulb was out. Again, I called in to tell them about my experience and never received a call back. read more

I do Not like to write negative reviews but then again the "manager" felt compelled to say she was on Yelp yesterday and that there were no one star reviews! Aside from that I'm resolving with Corporate. The gentlemen there was condescending, everything Not to do in a customer service environment. I have been tanning here off and on for years but recently it has been awful. I haven't been able to tan in the standup bed for like two months now because it is undergoing repairs and before that it had like eight bulbs burnt out for months. They are still charging me around $70 a month and when I went in today to go tanning the standup was still out of order. When I brought it up to the lady at the desk didn't even bat an eye at me when I told her I would like to cancel my membership at the end of this month due to not being able to tan in the bed I'm paying for. She didn't say I am sorry or anything she completely ignored my concerns. Then proceeded to put me in bed 15 the same laydown bed that I've had to go tanning in the last several times and underneath the acrylic is absolutely disgusting. I also let them know how gross their beds are and they told me that they are unable to clean underneath the acrylic because it will ruin them. I just started tanning, I was going to the gym for a few sessions and burned. I called palm beach tan and a nice gentleman answered all of my questions and because of this I decided to get a membership. I went to hazel dell location and a girl set up my membership and spent a lot of time helping me and answering all of my questions. I don't remember her name but I've seen her at a few locations, her name is Kaleo or something like that. She's my favorite and always remembers me when I come in. I also went to location off 192d and I spent probably 10 minutes trying to decide on which lotion to get and the girl there was so patient with me even though I was taking FOREVER. I ended up getting midnights which she suggested. I've been tanning at palm beach for a few weeks now and try to go everyday. I love it here and all of the employees, I really look forward to tanning everyday and ir sucks when I have to miss a day!! I'm obsessed with palm beach lol. IM SO TIRED OF THIS.. Who doesn't offer different days to pull a payment? THAT IN OF ITSELF IS RIDICULOUS! This a corporation, you should offer choices to your customers without RACKING UP THEIR PRICES! And for CUSTOMER who are Diamond level or have BEEN WITH YOU FOR 13 years THIS IS JUST UNACCEPTABLE! I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND YOU TO ANYONE EVER! I have been trying to resolve this for how long! AND NO ONE CAN HELP ME!! I tan because I have Chronic illness and I'm trying to relax, help my pain, BUT YOUR COMPANY JUST MAKES IT 100 times worse !! Thank you! Wow! I don't leave crying a places often but I did today. I have been tanning here a very long time, except the one year I left due to the crappy customer service I got. And I will say they have made MANY improvements. She tried to sell me a JWWOW tanning kit, and when I told her I just couldn't afford it that month (I had already bought facial lotion and new body lotion) she kept asking me over and over and was rude about it. I didn't go back there the rest of the month! Anyways my payment pulled early this month on the 1st, I don't get paid until the 3rd. I'm on disability and I understand that the payment can pull anytime between the 1st and 5th, but in all the time I have been there IT HAS NEVER PULLED EARLY. It caused an overdraft fee. I wasn't mad, I just figured I will go in and talk to them about it, I mean after all they have been amazing about working with me and finding solutions. So I went in and tanned, and I was in a great mood. When I asked to talk to the manager about my account the girl was super sweet and told me no problem. When the manager came up, she was glaring at me, and asked me what my problem was? I almost asked excuse me? But instead just went on to say that my payment pulled on the 1st and I don't get paid until the 3rd, I told her I understood that it can pull anytime between the 1st-5th but it caused an overdraft. And was there any other solutions. She just looked at me and said. Your account is fine with us. I said, I understand that. But I can't afford an overdraft fee every month, and I have been a customer with you guys for 15 years and the payment has never pulled early. She interrupted me and said, you signed a contract and you'll pay when it pulls.. I told her I understand, I'm asking if there is another solution? I'm on disability, I tan bcs it helps my pain. I have Fibromyalgia, Lupus and MS. This isn't something I do as a luxury. She was very rude and said that's not my problem and I don't know what to tell you. Another girl had suggested to me that I could get another card, so I then brought that up. (She never said ANYTHING about this). She told me, I guess you could do that. Some people do that. I told her I had already closed my debit card, and could she please remove that card, she told me no. She wouldn't remove any card until she had a new card. I would get a 10-20 return fee, when the payment was rejected until I added a new card! I asked her if that could be refunded? She said, no they couldn't refund that. I told her I don't have the money to go buy a new card with the balance of my payment today, I just told you I'm on a limited income! I can't do that until I get paid on the 3rd! She said, nothing I can do. I have never been treated like this in my life! I went in TRYING to find a solution! I do not want to cancel my tanning package, I love tanning there! But I had to pay 30 because of an overdraft fee (which I didn't ask them to refund) but I'm NOT PAYING a return fee when I'm trying to get this taken care of ahead of time! And the manager REFUSES TO Work WITH ME! I left in tears! She treated me like I was worthless! No customer should EVER BE TREATED LIKE THAT! Well here we go AGAIN! Another payment mess up & NO ONE KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING! No manager, not one person knows ANYTHING OR CAN HELP ME. And I have to wait until Monday to get this resolved. I did the monthly subscription to do spray tanning but regardless to that every time I go I would pay extra because the package that they have it's only the base and they always say oh you need to get the bronze with it, also I bough a 50$ primer because I told the girl my skin is so dry from the spray or the product that they put so she recommended to use a primer and that was a joke!!! Went in in January to purchase one month tanning, they do not do that so they said sign up and cancel the next day, which we did. No one showed us around, didn't show us the beds or tell us some radios don't work. Then 10 days later they took out more money.. then I called and called with no one calling me back to address it in February. Finally I got ahold of the manager in March after they took out MORE money. And still they keep saying they will call me back and nothing... I've had to spend hours on end trying to call them, talk to different people explaining what happened and our bank. Very very unprofessional. We use to go to Palm beach years ago and it was great. This experience was horrible and we still didn't get to enjoy our month of tanning. Very disappointed and would recommend going somewhere else. And on top of that the 3 times we went some of the radios didn't work, and they have you buy an expensive package to use the nicer beds but when we went to use it, it was broken and needed maintenance. I have not experienced anyone rude at this location, so I am shocked by the comments! Every young woman that I have encountered has been super friendly and answers my daily gamut of questions. I will agree that they can be pushy with sales (only reason for 4 stars) and it can often cause you to feel uncomfortable and try not to make contact like at a car dealership, but I understand they probably are being held to some sales goal and try not to blame them personally (PBT ease up!). Im so frustrated right now. I've been a long time customer of PBT, this location for more than 2 years. I pay monthly for the most expensive package, so I can use all the beds. I don't tan regularly, unless I have an event coming up, which is currently the case. I've been trying to go in daily so I can get nice and tan for several social engagements I have in the near future. I actually purchased one of their $150 lotions just last night to help ensure I get optimal tanning results. Anyway, this is how the last several days have played out... I'd like to mention, getting in to tan is not always easy. I work in PDX for 10 hours a day and have two young sons. By the time I get home from work, taking an extra half hour for myself to go tan can be a challenge. So when I do make it a priority, it's a big deal for me, which makes all of this that much more frustrating. Incident one; I go into the salon to tan. a few days ago. Upon arrival, the place is empty. Lights are on, music is playing, but not a soul in sight. All the tanning bed doors were open, so no other patrons. The bathroom door was open, so that was not a factor. None of the beds were being cleaned. This was my process of elimination in trying to give the benefit of the doubt. Aside from myself standing at the front desk area, the only other thing happening was the spray tan booth. I listened to the entire process from start to finish. After standing there for 20 minutes, still no one had come out to greet me, so I had to leave. A trip wasted because whoever was working decided getting a spray tan was more important than providing customer service. The store was left completely unsecured that whole time. It would have been so easy for someone to swoop in and take off with one of their expensive lotions. I wasn't even going to mention this incident until my experience this evening. So this was strike one. Wasted time, energy and effort. No tan. I went in yesterday a little after 7pm. After chatting with the young lady working and purchasing my new $150 lotion, it was almost 7:30 before I got into the bed. For as long as I've been tanning here (more than 2 years), they have ALWAYS had a 23 hour tanning policy. So today I waited until 6:30 to go tan. The young lady informs me I can't tan until 7:28pm, they have a 24 hour tanning policy. I told her as long as I've been going there, it's always been 23 hours. If the policy had changed, it was not communicated to me. I would have been happy adhere to the 24 hour policy had I known. Policy is policy and I'm not above their rules or regulations. Surly, because of the circumstances and since I have been a long time loyal customer who pays good money, they would make an exception and allow me to tan 45 minutes early, out of good faith. She called a manager and explained what happened and was told absolutely not. I almost couldn't believe it. This was a policy change after two years that had not been communicated. Had I known, I would have planned accordingly and gone in at 24 hours instead of 23. Unfortunately I couldn't wait 45 minutes to tan, nor would I be able to come back later tonight. Another tan and more time lost. Strike two. I have referred several friends, who have purchased the same monthly package as me. Two years and several expensive products later and this is where I'm at. Feeling irritated enough to write a super long review over two negative experiences within days of each other. I'm hoping things turnaround. I believe in second chances, even though this would technically be the third. But if incidents like this continue, I'm going to cancel my package. The 30 minutes I take for myself to go tan, is supposed to be a chance to unwind and relax. It's beyond frustrating that I've wasted two evenings going in for nothing. Went into this Palm Beach Tan after a little break because frankly, I never knew what to expect and was so pleasantly surprised with the service. Paige, the new manager, was so nice!!!! She was accommodating, gave great customer service and I was blown away. Is this the same place I had had such a terrible experience at a year ago? It's new years eve: go in for a medium dark spray tan. The girl puts the light cartridge in instead. Pretty much the opposite of what I wanted and you cant go back and fix it now before a party tonight. Light doesnt work on me. If you disagree with your customer get some background. Love this location! The staff is always super friendly and they have everything you need to look your best tanned self. I love the variety of beds they offer from lay down to stand up. I like to rotate using beds each time so I get the best colour possible. I love that they have the red light therapy with the vibra-plate technology. I am hooked on it. I love this tan spot! Always clean and always friendly. Sometimes I wish the didn't close at 8 because I always want to go at 8:01p AHHAHAH but really do love all their packages and it's affordable. I achieve a great tan on their beds! I haven't tried the spray tan so I can't review that but if you want a nice clean spot with multiple rooms and types of tanning options this is a great location and chain! read more

I'm feeling generous so 2 stars it is. My experience here changes on any given day. A couple of the girls that work here are super friendly-one in particular, not so much. I usually only do spray tans here and I really do prefer the machine at this PBT (I believe its Versa, but I always get them mixed up) On more then one occaision the machine has been down, there have been no hair nets in the room, and barrier cream smeared on the wall. The other day I arrived to a closed store at 9:30am when it even says on the door they open at 8 am. No answer on the phone when I called. One day in particular was extra scary. One of the young ladies who works here informed me that the machine was broken. About to leave she stated she would give me a couple of free spray tans if I bought some $40.00 lotions. "I don't really have the money right now," I said. In a super snotty tone, she all but snorted back, "Well then how were you even gonna pay for your spray tan?" and she waited for an answer. (I was on a montly pre-paid plan that had already been paid through the month...I really didn't have extra cash to be spending on tanning stuff!) I couldn't believe she even asked me that!?!! Like its any of your business how I pay for anything!! SO unprofessional. I dread going in there and much, much prefer the place on 192nd by Petco and Home Depot, even if they don't have the machine I like. read more

i recently came in and have never experienced customer service as awful as it was at palm beach. the salon was dirty and my bed had streak marks in it. i came in another time to spray tan in hopes my experience would be better but no one walked me through the steps and it was my first time. i had to scrub off my spray tan due to splotchiness the employees were unhelpful and quite frankly rude. i felt very unwelcome. i will definitely not be returning in the future. read more

This place will rip you off. When I closed my account they said I had a credit to use and tried to sell me on a bronzing lotion. They miss led me on the cost which was 129.00 and said if I used my credit it would only cost a few dollars more than what my credit was and then I received a credit charge of 74.00. They have a great VIP package and the staff here is sweet and helpful! Ive been going for almost a year and its always clean and "my bed" is always available. They have a lot of beds to choose from and some of the most advanced beds on the market. Their selection of lotions and product is great too! Palm Beach Tan is AMAZING! I had some family problems come up and was gone for about 4 months and forgot to put my account on hold so it continued to bill me every month and I didn't realize it. Well to make a long story short I came home and saw I owed them $400, ended up sending them an email just to tell them what happened and see if they could maybe split it in half, and not even an hour later I got an email back saying they completely waived my fee and I can start fresh. Clean place, nice folks! Great selection of tanning products, and they usually have a discounted lotion every month that is at least 50% off the regular price. The only thing I would say for improvement is the quality of beds/bulbs. The expensive packages have great beds/bulbs. However the lower priced packages, beds not great & I don't think bulbs get changed as often as they should. Certainly I agree if it's cheaper it won't be as good as a better more expensive bed, but your tan shouldn't fade if you are going 3 times per week with a $60 lotion product (even trying different beds). Also, they need to replace the doors/locks on those with the pin that goes into the floor. A lot of them are hard to shut/lock. read more
