Last year I was too weak for a surgery that I needed. I could hardly move yet desperately needed to exercise. Kathryn at At Vancouver Massage helped with massage therapy aimed at restoring my mobility and also helped manage my pain. I needed deep tissue massage that was not too much for me and Kathryn was able to find that balance. I'm now post surgery and recovering well and getting stronger every day. A certain male therapist is best seen before lunch. On my second visit, I scheduled after his lunch break and experienced his gastrointestinal distress throughout my massage. It was not as highly offensive until the end when I turned over and needed to cover my face with the sheet and blanket. I immediately reported this to the front desk as I was leaving. The owner did not offer to discount the massage due to my experience. Instead, she quickly excused herself to "make sure I give him a mint before his next appointment". To make things even worse, on my next appointment when I needed to cancel two hours prior due to a personal situation I was told I would be charged $55 for the late cancellation. My suggestion is to earn customer loyalty. read more

I came here for a couples massage and I got the masseuse named Ivy and she definitely worked magic on my neck and shoulders area. I felt uncomfortable but it was a good uncomfortable feeling that it made me so relaxed towards the end of the massage. My massage was so good that at some point I knocked out. My partner got Alisa and she said that she unfortunately did not target the area she had asked. I am only giving it five stars because of my masseuse. read more

I had a really smooth experience booking at Vancouver Massage , they had availability on a short notice and upon arrival made me feel very comfortable. My therapist was Aaron Twiss, he did an amazing job at listening to what my body needed and I felt he was knowledgeable which I liked. I got cupping done for the first time as well and I really enjoyed it , I believe it took down a lot of inflammation in the areas they were placed. I unfortunately experienced a significant injury in which it required surgery and a 3 to 6 month timeline. Now with that being said I booked my appointments months and months in advance before this surgery took place to get the days and times I wanted. But Per doctors orders for the recovery process I am not lift or be too active for at least the first 6 weeks, which in turn made me have to cancel my appointments several different times. I was then notified by Vancouver Message via text messages not a phone call that this facility might not be the best fit for the time being due to the cancellations rather than coming up with a plan to correct this and have a plan in place. According to their policy it is required to give at least 24 hours notice before canceling which I did every time. But then was told that the 24 hours notice wasn't giving them enough time to rebook other customers (maybe adjust your policy if that's the case) There were also a couple other times that my appointment was canceled because of their staff for other reasons. I've been a customer here for several years and felt that their business took priority over my health. Believe that they could've of handled this situation better and more professional than they did. I will not be returning and do not recommend. read more

I had a great massage with Amber who I found to be a sweet and friendly person who listens to what you need. I'd give her 5 stars. Unfortunately I wasn't comfortable at the place as the staff wasn't masked. I noticed the other clients I saw were masked. It just doesn't seem respectful to the clients for the staff to not wear masks. Also, if you don't like animals or have allergies, be aware that Amber does have a dog in the room with her while giving the massage. It wasn't an issue for me but it could be to some people. read more

I am currently 32 weeks pregnant and my hips have been giving me pain for several months. I was getting monthly massages elsewhere and although I felt relaxed after, my main focus on my hips were never resolved. I had a massage and facial at Vancouver Massage last year and came back a few times, but never thought I'd they'd have prenatal. My husband suggested I look since he's the one who found this place for my birthday last year. I filled out my concerns (all on digital forms, very convenient) and seen Linda my massage therapist. She was very attentive on my needs and afterwards I was able to walk without pain, sit without pain, and it really impacted my overall mental and physical well being. They don't listen to any suggestions or requests about where or how to massage you... it is extremely frustrating. They reschedule almost every time you have an appointment and you never get the same technician twice in a row. On top of all of that, I got ringworm from one of the technicians! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PARLOR!! They seem nice at first but they have zero structure for consistency and that is so frustrating! Plus, RINGWORM.. I am so upset that this even happened, I am a clean person and this makes me feel embarrassed as well as dirty! Do not go to this massage parlor. Enter at your own risk!! This was my first time receiving an Ashiatsu massage (where the masseuse uses ceiling bars and then uses the feet, mostly one foot at a time, to provide a deep tissue massage. My masseuse Kerri, explained it well and took lots of time listening and discussing the plan prior to the massage in order to work on my needs. She knew what she was talking about and she did an amazing job. The pain in my muscles afterward did not hurt the day after my massage as a normal massage does. I will ask for this type of massage again in between other types. I surely recommend Kerri. I'm feeling relief!! read more

Had one of the best massages I've had in years by Audrey! It was a one-hour Signature Massage and she covered everything in that hour. She didn't leave anything out and even listened my request for painting to certain areas on the body that needed a little extra TLC. She has great pressure and does great deep tissue work! Super easy to book over yelp, they responded with minutes on a Saturday night. Once we booked, we had another one to add and they were very accommodating.
