Golden Lounge is a full service salon that has a bunch of skilled techs that follow consistent hygiene practices and use reputable brands. When they gave me to the tech, he seemed new and confused, like he didn't know what he was doing. he proceeded to only do acrylic on my big toes. I stopped him and asked if he was doing a full set and he said yes. he continued on with the pedicure, completely skipping all the others toes. 4 different occasions i had to tell him to put the tips on until another tech nearby told him and he fixed it. After he put the tips on all my toes, he asked me what shape did i want. ....... what other shape do you get on your toes? Like it felt like he was intentionally being dense. I told him square. He proceeded to do my toes, barely cutting them down. I told him he needed to shave them down way more than that, or i won't be able to put on shoes/sneakers. After he cut them down he tried to make me soak my feet but i noticed that he didn't even make the length of each toe even. two nails were super long and the rest super short. I told him and he would shave a lil ask again, shave a lil ask again. After this he continued the pedicure, managed to spill water out the foot bowl to the point that my slides i wore here were soaked. At this point I'm beyond irritated because this is a $117 service and I'm literally coaching him through every step of it which i shouldn't have to do if I'm gonna pay this kind of price. When i went to go pay i asked to speak to someone in charge. I explained that I'm fine with paying full price ($47) for the pedicure but i feel like i need to be compensated for the service regarding the acrylic. I'm explaining it to multiple workers and at the end they said they could only take off $10. I'm extremely disappointed with this service and lack of consideration towards the customer. If you're paying $117 just for your toes, you'd expect that the person doing them, knows what they're doing. The fact that i still had to pay $110 (so it really only took off $7 after the processing fee) and i couldn't even enjoy my service or let alone have a conversation with my friend because I'm too busy coaching my tech on what to do is insane. The fact that nobody there understood why i wanted money off is even crazier. You're taking money off for the inconvenience you placed on the customer and if you don't understand that maybe you shouldn't be servicing anyone. If you like to waste your money and your time then this is the perfect salon for you!
