A nice quaint micro-winery. No food, no music, no TVs, and no fancy surroundings, just a winemaker and his family sharing his craft. The low count of variety isn't a deterrent either. Good wine is to be found. read more

Found this by mistake, and happy we did We were driving through the country of Ohio. We ran across this winery. We were unsure until we seen the sign at the entrance, and a limo driver at the top. The winery is part of the owner's house. They still have their full-time jobs. The winery is a side business that is small but in hope that it becomes larger. I met the winemaker who has been making wine for 30 years. This is a little shop. But surprisingly everything we tried we liked. The Cab was one of the unique cabs I've ever tried. Their dryest white wine didn't taste like a dry, much better. Then the port which is a blackberry and contains 27% alcohol. Wow, it was the best one they had available. I'm not a fan of ports, but I was with theirs. They only had a few remaining in stock, and I believe the port was 2 years of age in a barrel. Do not judge a book by its cover. Try this place out. Really cool place. Some of the best wine I have ever tasted. LaPorte is hidden gem in Diamond . My wife and I love to go the theme parties ,every third Saturday. A great addition to the wine trail. Heidi and Joe are very friendly and are fun to talk to. read more
