Lappert's is at Hilton village located towards the back. No seating is available inside and seating outside is very limited, not a great thing when it's hot outside. Plus, the doors are open so you get a warm draft but won't feel the air conditioning. Ice cream was good, interesting that they charge separately for the cone, so just be ware. Service felt a bit rushed from requesting a sample to getting to the register. Very, very touristy
If you need an afternoon pick me up, look no further than an affogato here for $8+. My choice was a tropical coconut pineapple ice cream that was delicious and I also enjoyed the seasonal topper!
Lappert's is located in Waikiki, near the Hilton Village. They offer scoops, sundaes and even freebies! Lappert's gave away free sundaes for teachers for teachers appreciation week and for mothers on mother's day. How sweet is that? The ice cream flavors are so creative. Each ice cream offers a thick, rich and even luxurious bite. The prices are a bit high compared to their competitors, but you're paying for the real stuff. The real good stuff. Service is friendly! The line was out the door when I went, yet the staff kept their smiles. The location is small and doesn't offer much space to sit or stand, but a great grab-and-go hotspot. Would come again to try their coffee flavors!
I tried the Ooey Gooey Pineapple Cake and the Smores flavor. The ice cream was okay, the quality didn't match the price. It tasted medium quality wise rather than high quality for the price and portion. There's limited seating so I recommend a pick up and go if you plan to try this while in Waikiki.
Lapperts is famous in Hawaii for their delicious ice cream, and if you're staying in the Hilton Hawaiian village, it's a must try! Lines are typically very long, but we managed to snag a spot at night, and the lines do typically move very quick! Unique Hawaiian flavors and classic ice creams with fun twists. Highly recommend, especially if you have a sweet tooth!
Walking into an ice cream spot in Waikiki, you already know you're about to get financially disrespected. I was fully prepared to pay "ocean view tax" for a single scoop. Somehow, it ended up being the same price, if not cheaper, than the Baskin-Robbins by my house. That alone threw me off. Then the ice cream showed up... and now I'm suspicious for a different reason. Flavor was a straight 10 out of 10. Not "it's hot so I'll take anything cold" good, actually good. Like someone back there cares about your happiness. Portion size? Out of control. These guys are not measuring anything. It felt personal. Like they saw me walk in and said "yeah, give this guy the full send." And listen, I've never once in my life said "that's too much fudge." That's not a sentence I use. But they pushed me to the edge. Sundae came out looking like it was melting under pressure. Fudge dripping down the sides, chocolate overflowing like it had somewhere to be. I couldn't even take a picture because it was already escaping. One wrong move and I'm wearing it. At one point I wasn't even eating it anymore, I was just trying to contain the situation. This is exactly how a sundae should be. Messy, overloaded, slightly stressful, and 100 percent worth it. I'll be back... but next time I'm bringing backup.
Whenever in Hawaii, Lappert's is a must! Definitely a true staple here! We love all the flavors from Kona Coffee to Cookie Dough, to Macadamia Nut! All of the flavors are delicious. Customer service is great, offering free samples and such!

Best ice cream!!! Surprisingly really great prices! Get the keiki cone for $4.99!! It's a delicious, fresh, waffle cone. I had the coconut ice cream with caramel and macadamia nut, Ono! Located within the Hilton Hawaiian Village.
Came here on my trip to end the night with something sweet. There was a line and I wasn't at all surprised. The service was stellar, there were 3 ladies rotating groups and one at the register. Their chemistry was superb getting people through and still maintaining patience with those who wanted samples. The inside was cute but again, crowded. I got the macadamia nut ice cream with the haupia ube on their classic waffle cone. I couldn't commit to a double scoop so it was nice they offer a half and half single scoop. Both flavors were great, my boyfriend got a single scoop vanilla bean. No complaints there, really hard to mess up vanilla. Overall, had a great experience. Would come back on my next trip to Oahu ^_^
The infamous Lappert's! I was told by at least 3 people who knew we were going to Hawaii and staying at the Hilton that we needed to check out Lappert's for ice cream! Lappert's is located at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort in Honolulu across the main lobby. My family and I visited Lappert's 3 out of the 4 nights we were there and it definitely lived up to the hype! On the first night, I ordered a scoop of Macadamia Nut ice cream which was so good. I shared the Uncle's Hot Fudge Sundae with my husband on the other 2 nights. My daughter tried the Ooey Gooey Pineapple Cake, Pineapple Sorbet and Banana Fudge and loved all 3 flavors. Not only do they offer some great flavors of ice cream, they also offer in house made waffle cones and bowls, cookies and large pieces of coffee cake and carrot cake. I believe I also saw Affogatos, different espresso drinks, milkshakes and Root Beer Floats on the menu - Chillers and smoothies too! I don't recall seeing seating inside of Lappert's, but being in Hawaii, my family loved grabbing ice cream to go and walking along the beach. The line was always out the door when we visited, but it moved quickly and staff is friendly! Check them out!
A small, store front, with plenty of flavors. This place was packed when we arrived at 4:00pm. I got a double scoop of chocolate chip cookie dough and mini peanut butter cup, and fudge. It was tasty. My wife got the Kona coffee and the Kona lava Java double scoop waffle cone. Prices were about the same as other ice cream places, $25. Overall, a well deserved treat for the afternoon of rain.

We were staying at the Hawaiian Hilton Village. Earlier in the day a friend was talking about Lapperts so when we saw it was on the hotel grounds we had to try it.....and ordered a bit of everything. We tried the pineapple muffin, shaken cold brew and ice cream (pineapple cake and kauai pie). I was especially blown away by the muffin. So moist and whole ingredients. Both ice cream flavors were quite different but loved them both. Again whole ingredients could be tasted. It can get quite busy but the wait wasn't terrible. They have indoor seating but not alot of tables. Staff are pleasant. read more
Had a staycation this weekend at the Hilton and of course needed my matcha, I go there to find out the sign said out of matcha so I ordered the Kauai pie iced latte. Was a little sad to see someone after me order the matcha when the sign said out but oh wells. We ordered 4 large Kauai pie drinks, waited over 20 mins, looks like they skipped ours I'm not sure. Location was great, inside was simple cute and menu was easy to choose from. Over the drink was great, I would order again. Line is long but moves quickly. read more

Super you my place for dessert if you're in the little village there and you want a sweet treat this is the place to go. Lots of good flavors of ice cream to choose from cookies brownies, waffle cones you name it they had it. The ice cream tasted really good really good place to take the kids service was fast and nice A+ all the way. Cute little store inside. We really liked the dessert theme here we would definitely come back for a sweet tooth fixing here. read more

Cute little place with good ice cream. I usually don't like coconut things, but the combination of coconut, macadamia nuts and caramel was hard to pass up. The service was good, just be ready to know what you want as soon as they get to you. Oh and the waffle cones are made fresh! read more

Lapperts is one of my go to's while in Honolulu. Located on property of the Hilton Hawaiian Village, Lapperts is a convenient "can't go wrong" stop. Whether you're needing a morning pick me up, a delicious pastry, or to cool off with some of their many ice cream flavors, this is the place to go. Their specialty lattes come with all of the traditional Hawaiian flavors such as macadamia nut or coconut, their lattes are a good start to anyone's day. Pair it with the sticky bun or cinnamon roll and you won't regret it. The service there is quick and welcoming, the workers are there to guide you in the right direction of choice if you're feeling indecisive. There isn't any seating inside but thankfully you can take your coffee or ice cream to the beach, the city, or at one of the hotels many seating areas. I think about this place often when I'm not visiting the beautiful state of Hawaii!! read more

Caramel coconut macadamia nut is one of their best sellers. It was creamy, soft, buttery and sweet. It's high quality ice cream that's worth trying if you're nearby. Service was quick and friendly. There was limited seating, but during a weekday where there weren't tons of tourists, I was able to sit at one of their tables and enjoy an afternoon treat. read more

Today we had the pleasure of trying Lappert's Hawaii and we were not disappointed. My decaf, iced vanilla latte was super tasty. The cinnamon bun was very good and fresh. Cute place with warm, fast service. read more
Ice cream just ok. I ordered the passion fruit, pineapple with shortbread, it had ice crystals in the ice cream which turned me off. Hubby had the macadamia nut ice cream. Was good. Maybe we'll try it again. Daughter had the coconut pineapple raspberry which she liked very much. read more

I haven't had a chance to taste this ice cream ! Lappert's Ice Cream on the mainland United States and those of Lappert's Hawaii have distinct products that they use! In Hawaii they make their goods in Hanapepe Kauai while in the Mainland are made in Richmond , California. Flavors offered in Hawaii are not the same in California and vice versa ! Hawaii is a special place and I am so elated to experience it here!!! Imagine having to go to Hawaii to have my first one??? This location is just a hop and a skip away from our hotel. The shop has limited indoor seating but a long low concrete retaining wall to seat on while licking the ice cream and chat in groups. Always a long line when passing by this ice cream shop. But this time 1/2 hour before closing time we were lucky to be 2nd in line .... Yeshhh! Friendly scoopers in helping us to sample taste before making our choices!! NENE TRACKS in a waffle bowl was my ultimate choice for my namesake "Nene" This delightful creamy vanilla ice cream has a multi combination of the following: *Chocolate covered honey roasted almonds *Peanuts *Cashews *Mini peanut butter cups *Dark chocolate fudge *Salted caramel ( my favorite) Now can you taste it???? Absolutely love the staff here. They are so friendly, fast and hard working. I come to see them in the morning to get my usual morning coffee and as always even if its busy they got the best attitudes and do their best to get to everyone's orders asap. glug glug glug (that's the sound of my tummy right now as it churns cream and sugar like an ice cream machine). i feel like a wobbly seal who is going to belly flop into lappert tomorrow too. today was not enough. we got the 'can't decide' cup because we are all indecisive. also thought we could finish it all. NO! five half scoops are not medically suitable for three people apparently no matter how big back we are. kona coffee was amazing! good coffee flavor, super creamy. nene tracks was way too sweet but i liked the chocolaty nuts. wouldn't get again. lilikoi dream was BOMB!!! i love the coconut shortbread and creamy tangy citrusy goodness. ube haupia was alright, could've had more ube flavor. long lines cause it's in the hilton village but service is relatively fast. everyone is nice! it is next to the beach entrance and big parking lot. minimal seating so stand to ingest 10k steps or 10k calories??? you only live once read more

Coffee, pastries, and ice cream (gelato). Not knocking on ice cream for breakfast, but I was more in the mood for pastries. THE FOOD. - Croissant | Fluffy and flakey. No complaints here. - Cinnamon Roll | Sticky and entirely too sweet, per usual. Again, no complaints here. THE DRINK. - Chocolate Macadamia Nut | Foamy with chocolate flavors and the slightest hint of macadamia nut. Loved this, recommend. COMING BACK? Yep, I would return. It beats having to stand in a Starbucks line any day. read more

Simply an amazing spot for ice cream. We were staying at the Hilton Village and noticed that Lappert's Ice Cream was located in the village. Came in for some dessert and became instant fans. Yes, they're a little pricey, but everything on the island is. The service was impeccable. The servers were quick and moving the line right along. The ice cream is top tier but pricey! As of January 2025, a single scoop is $5.99 and a waffle cone is priced at $1.59, plus taxes of course. The Kaua'i Pie is definitely a favorite (Kona coffee ice cream, macadamia nuts, shredded/toasted coconut, and chocolate fudge), but as the years have gone by, I have noticed less and less mac nuts per scoop. This particular location can get crazy busy. However, even with long lines, it moves fairly quickly and before you know it, you'll be at the front of the line. Be ready to order! Ice cream samples are offered, which is helpful when you're on the fence between 2 flavors. Lappert's is worth a trip, especially if you're in the area. Don't forget your stamp card! Fun fact: The OG location is in Hanapepe, Kaua'i but it is no longer open. read more

We usually always stop over at this place when we visit Hawaii. Located inside Hilton Hawaiian Village. You can smell them making the fresh waffle cones every morning. Although since they had the strike this visit, I don't smell their signature scent that draws people in. Service is always great and done with a smile. The girls there are always nice and friendly. They always have different varieties of flavors. This time around I tried their Ube haupia yesterday (forgot to take the picture) and their coconut pineapple (one of my favorites). A must try if you are staying at Hilton Hawaiian Village or just visiting Hawaii in general. read more

PHENOMENAL! LOVE IT! We ordered a mint chocolate chip ice cream w/ whip cream on a waffle bowl and 4 cookies. This is the BEST mint chocolate chip ice cream I've ever had and I eat a lot of ice cream. . It's in a quaint little Hawaiian village by our Hilton Hotel and the service as good. No table to sit at. This establishment is located at Hilton Hawaiian Village and you will not miss the smell of fresh waffle cones/bowls being made. It wafts through the air and it is alluring! Lines may wrap around the building at times but do not be detoured by it. It moves quickly and it helps when you know what you want to order ahead of time. We ordered Oreo Cookie Crunch, Mint Chocolate Chip and Kona Coffee. It was so delicious and creamy. Such a satisfying treat after spending a day at the beach. It was so good that we came multiple days. It costs roughly $9 for 2 scoops of ice cream. Service was quick and staff were friendly. No seating is available but you can walk across to the lobby to find some benches to admire the view. read more
