I tried a few samples before finally committing to my two flavors, and I ended up choosing Dragon Fruit and Mango. I absolutely loved the combination! It was light, refreshing, and perfect for a warm evening. It made for the ideal treat while strolling around Waikīkī Beach Walk after a long day of work. I would definitely get this combination again! My next visit, I will try the Ube with coffee.

Yummy Gelato! So many tasty flavors, but I think the formula might be a smidge off, as the texture is a little more icy than what gelato is supposed to be. We ordered 2 regulars (Oreo cheesecake in a cup, and peanut butter chocolate chip in a sprinkle cone). Both yummy, however the Oreo cheesecake was more cheesecakey than Oreo. I do also have to mention that the service was meh. O my the guy working tonight is nice. The other people seemed a little rude.

    Two waffle bowls, zero regrets

We've walked by this spot a hundred times and finally gave in when the sweet tooth hit hard. Zero regrets. The lady who helped us (didn't catch her name, rookie move) was super nice and patient while we debated flavors like it was a life decision. We ended up going with two waffle bowls--one coconut & vanilla, the other peanut butter & mint chocolate chip (I think... we were too busy devouring to double check). Both were fantastic. Sitting with gelato in hand, wandering Waikīkī while the sun set? Chef's kiss. Sometimes vacation is about the little things--like eating dessert before dinner and calling it balance.

Dubai Chcolate, and chocolate. (I already had eaten the dubai choc part) lol

I went to the Il Gelato right next to the McDonalds with my family, and we had a great time! My dad and I, got the chocolate, and my sister got the chocolate and the Tahitian Vanilla. IT WAS SO DELICIOUS! Our server was patient and kind! We sat down on this little table out front, and we talked, enjoyed our ice cream, and generally had a good time. They had Strawberry Guava, Kona Coffee, Dragonfruit, Mac Nut, and so much more flavors! The Dubai Chocolate was creamy, and they added the right amount of kataifi, and pistachios. The chocolate was a little bit too dark for me, but that's how it is, and that means they are making the chocolate right! (it's just me guys). This is a must try place in Waikiki, if you are visiting, and looking for a place for some ice cream!

The ice cream here is so good and comparable to the gelato I had in Italy! Each scoop has flavor that packs with a punch! This particular shop has a huge variety. There were probably 20 different choices or more. I got a large three scoops for about $10... I got raspberry, scracctella and pistachio... I really liked their pistachio. This is a true gelato shop! I would definitely come back when I'm in Waikiki.

Absolutely beautiful acai bowl with peanut butter

WowX2!! Unbelievable! This is the fourth acai bowl I've had in the past 4 days by far IL gelato Waikiki taste and looks the absolute best. It looks like it was diced bananas and strawberries from a surgeon. Really look at the pictures! Service was impeccable. The store was very clean. Extremely happy

So delicious. The amount of flavors is wild and they let you sample which is very kind. The Uber and cookies was delicious and they have so many vegan options. Staff is very patient and nice; toppings are abundant. Ambience is chill. Seating outside only; but it's very scenic! Baby comes they are a thing... a delicious thing! Favorite vegan flavor : coconut ! Non vegan: UBE w Oreos

Quick and delicious spot for a sweet treat. The staff were super friendly and helpful to answer any questions. They have lots of options and super cute decor. Loved my ice cream and will definitely be going back!

Despite the consistently long line, the ice cream is well worth the wait. It boasts a perfectly balanced sweetness, and the dragon fruit flavor is particularly exceptional.

Delicious gelato. They allow you to sample as much as you want. There are so many delicious flavors to choose from. Staff is super friendly.

Love IL Gelato Cafe on Lewers in Waikiki! Incredible "Aloha Spirit" and bella taste on Italy on Waikiki! Bravo! Encore! We are in town Breaking Bad dropping our Rainbow Warrior son off at University of Hawaii at Manoa for this Sophmore year. We just back from a day on Queens Beach of swimming, relaxing, soaking up the spectular Hawaii sunshine and needed a special treat. Thankfully my wife spotted @ilgelatoHawaii and we were immediately greeted with a bella smile and Aloha" by Leilani and Joe who guided us in samples and enormous gelato varieties. I am usually a coffee ice cream expert and Leilani convince me to get the Kona Coffee and a chololatr combo. My wife got the Lolikoi and Passfruit. Wonderful! The store is bright, extremely friendly service with infectious laughter and sense of humor! It a MUST stop in Waikiki after a meal and stroll down Waikiki shops enjoying prefection in gelato! Grazie Leilana & Joe! PRESTO arrivederci !! UPDATE: Sunday 8- We had breakfast at IL Gelato Cafe since they had Illy Coffee! Sydney and Joe were very welcoming! We had a latte, Cappuccino, Berry Waffle and Lemon Crepe. EXCELLENT! THANKS presto! #ILGELATOCAFE #WAIKIKI #HONOLULU #ILgelatoHawaii

This is one of their newer locations in the heart of Waikiki. The interior is airy, bright, and very spacious. Aside from selling delicious authentic tasting gelato, you can expect to find acai bowls, coffee, milkshakes, smoothies, crepes, waffles, and other baked goods here. I ordered the Strawberry cheesecake and Pistachio gelato, and quite enjoyed it. The staff here were all very friendly, and welcoming. During my week in Hawaii, there was always a staff member asking people to go in the sample their gelato in the evenings.

I have been to several Malasada places in Hawaii but | love…read morethere's the best for the following reasons: 1. the size of the malasadas: some restaurants tend to make their Malasadas smaller and when places do this it ruins the overall texture and quality of it. The bigger the malasadas size the more airy and fluffy and more bread layers that will be inside. 2. their malasadas always taste fresh and the same quality each time. 3. their malasadas don't feel oily or heavy at all Overall I would highly recommend this place for their Malasadas! I'm so happy to have found them. I can back multiple times on my trip. They also have other desserts too that I have yet to try. They have ice cream, cakes, and other desserts Also tip: if you are ordering a malasada also order a coffee or a matcha drink to go with it. The cinnamon sugar from the malasada just matches so perfectly with a drink this restaurant is also a nice place for walking! There's lot of stores and restaurants to walk around! I'm trying to remember but I think there was a book off that was not too far from here! If you either drive or maybe walk. Service: staff was super helpful and friendly while I was there. I was having an issue with my online order because my phone was being glitchy and they were so nice in helping :) Also wanted to note their branding is so cute!! They even sell merch items too

However, there are many alternative malasada purveyors throughout Honolulu, so I depended on local vloggers to find the best ones. This one popped up often on YouTube, and as luck would have it, we were dining at The Pig & The Lady on the next block. How calorifically convenient. We took the opportunity to stop by for a pre-dinner snack since they closed at 6PM. It's a cute shop with multiple sweets including quite a selection of housemade ice cream and delectable mouthfuls called Cake Bombs (Photo 10). We decided we would be good and ordered one unfilled Malasada each. Dusted with various sugar flavors, they were just $2.65 a piece. I went for the Coffee, while Jamie chose the daily special, Cinnamon (Photo 6). They were soft and tasty, quite comparable to Leonard's albeit a tad smaller. That wasn't necessarily a bad thing since we had dinner ahead of us. However, we let temptation get the best of us and shared a $5.50 slice of the Ube Haupia Mac Nut Bar, a yummy combination of sweet potato and ube topped with haupia (coconut milk pudding) on a macadamia nut crust (Photo 9). Truth be told, it stole the show from the malasadas. FOOD - 4 stars... the malasadas were good, but that ube dessert was next level AMBIANCE - 4 stars...really a takeout operation with a lot of temptations SERVICE - 4 stars...very calm and orderly TOTAL - 4 stars...yet another spot for sweet Hawaiian decadence RELATED - Exploring Hawaii? I guess cause it was a little later after dinner time. I'm just happy we got parking so we could try Cha to Gelato Zen. The ice cream is probably the best I have ever tasted. The green tea is very creamy. There's no pieces of crystallized ice in it. I also tried the Kinako ice cream. It tasted so good. How good? I bought a pint of each to take home. Our server's name was Yuzu. She was very nice and friendly. She also told us she works next door at Aburiya Ibushi. That restaurant is on my list of places to try and eat at. Hubs had to fast from 6 am for his 2 pm surgery so I thought he would probably be starving and would enjoy a delectable salt and butter roll from here. At $4.50 a piece I consider this a luxury for us. I found a close stall in the parking structure. A very cheerful polite male employee took my order. I had seen two occupied tables as I walked into the shop. Both had matcha drinks. Why not? I asked the young man assisting me, what's the best matcha drink? He said his favorite was banana matcha with extra banana foam. Okay I'll try it. He repeated it to the cashier. So popular there was a wait for beverages to be prepared. Soon enough mine was ready. I think Doc would enjoy this drink. This shop is a working bakery. Many yummy pastries displayed. Menu is posted high up above to choose from. Rather tiny shop with room for customers to stand in line to order and wait for drinks. Clean, busy with a few tables and chairs outside but pretty much in direct sun.
