Sheila is the nicest, most energetic lady and she runs a great deli and bakery. Her baked goods are to die for as I'm sure everything she makes there is. I tried the quesadilla when I was there and it had a generous portion of meat and cheese, my party all had a bite and it was a hit. The chicken noodle was yummmmm. This place is amazing. The food is delicious, the services is warm and courteous, and the prices are excellent. Everything I have had there has been superb. I stayed in Tupper lake for a few days and would stop in for breakfast or lunch each day- it is irresistible. Breakfast- Coffee: There is a lot of selection for coffee and if they are out they will brew more (just let them know) Savory: The eggs, toast, and breakfast wraps are delicious Sweet: The baked goods are to die for. Grab a cookie, or one of the muffins (the coffee cake one is my favorite). Lunch: The sandwiches, soups, and salads are all fresh. And there is something for everyone! Got a chicken salad sandwich and meatloaf sandwich. Bread was good but chicken salad was spread ultra thin and meatloaf sandwich consisted of thin slice of mediocre meatloaf between 2 slices of bread. Bread does not make a sandwich. read more

If you are in the Tupper Lake area you must stop here!!!! We came in for breakfast and the food and service were excellent. We each had variations of the breakfast burrito and they were delicious. I topped it off with the cherry turnover and it was one of the best I have ever had....still warm, flaky ... the pastries I dream of but rarely find! On my seamlessly never ending search for lunch while in Tupper Lake, I stopped at Larkin's Deli and Bakery. Larkin's also has a gas station and convenience store, so you can accomplish many of your travel needs here. I bypassed the baked goods, as plentiful and scrumptious as they looked and veered toward the deli menu. They make a variety of breakfast and lunch foods in the deli, both hot and cold. I considered getting a Philly cheesesteak, burger or deli sandwich before deciding on the Montreal chicken wrap. I thought that this would be different, and it was, as the chicken is seasoned with Montreal seasoning. It's a cold wrap, which came with lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles and hot peppers. The wrap itself was filling, even though I may have personally not been a fan of the Montreal seasoning itself. I'd like to stop here again when I'm in the area, but I may want to try something else on their menu. read more

5 stars to this little deli. Customer service was excellent. My chicken parm sub hit the [hungover] spot, and I bought a box of sparklers for less than $1 (fireworks of any size are illegal in my state, so this was exciting to me as a CT resident). The food did take a little long to come out, but I quickly forgave the tardiness after the first bite of soft freshly baked bread and crunchy encrusted chicken graced my lips. If/when I'm ever driving back to SLU or the Adirondacks again, I will make this my food pitstop. Keep it up Larkin's! read more

Wow! When we first saw this place from the road, our thought was that it was a small home town service station with a convenience store. However, we had read some awesome reviews in Yelp, so we decided to give it a try! And we are glad we did! They really do take your order at the service station register, but you have plenty of time to first review the menu, and then to add other items (like the excellent bakery goods) to your meal while they prepare your meal, fresh, while waiting. I ordered a half Pennsylvania steak sandwich with provolone cheese (it was more than filling for my big appetite), and my husband ordered the Cuban sandwich with everything. They were wonderful! Tender, juicy and seasoned just right! We also ordered their large chocolate chip cookies and half of one would have been just right for me. The cookies were moist and tasty! If we return to this area, we plan to go here again and try some of their soups or special of the day! Don't pass this one up! read more

Blech. Hard to believe the ratings and reviews are this good. Glad they made a breakfast sandwich at 1pm; otherwise nothing available without meat. Ruben on whole wheat... We ingested sufficient calories to make it though the afternoon and if we were to have had food poisoning it would have started by now; hence one star. read more

Larkin's is the kind of small roadside mom n pop you dream about finding in small towns, but rarely do. They make everything, and I mean everything, from scratch: the bread in the sandwiches, the fudge by the register, all of the incredible pastries. I was in town with a large birding group, and they even had our breakfast sandwiches ready in advance (we ordered the day before). The cherry turnovers were exceptional, the apple fritters were literally the best I've ever had. I wish there was a Larkins near me in NYC! read more

Only place we could find for coffee and eggs in Tupper. Its actually a bakery and convenience store. Like other things in Tupper, they do a little of everything. Just a couple of booths (some smaller ones in the back). Service was delightful and the eggs and hashbrowns perfect. Nothing fancy. Great stop if you need coffee and eggs before hitting the road. This place is amazing! I go to the Adirondack's a couple times of year and ALWAYS stop off at Larkin's at least once a trip. I'm a big fan of breakfast and nothing is better. Served with a smile by either the owner(?) -woman who makes the food, or the person working the counter, it's a wonderful problem to have to figure out what to eat. All fresh baked pastries, muffins, cinnamon buns etc... - egg sandwiches, breakfast pizza slices. I've even tried something called a meat pie served around Christmas time - ground pork(?) in a pie crust. Awesomeness! I'll post photos of some of the food next time I'm there. read more

First, this place has excellent service. Love the sandwiches. These sandwiches are like no other with an option of homemade rolls. My favorite sandwich here is the philly cheese steak sandwich is made with real steak! This is the only place I know that does this anymore and I love it! Also prices are extremely low. No comparison to any sandwich I've ever had. VERY IMPORTANT NOTE HERE.: Service may be a little slow depending on the time of day but trust me it's worth the wait! If you have never tried the red pepper relish on any sandwich you choose it is in your best interest to have that bc you'll only come back for more. I absolutely love it. Staff is very nice and will have a conversation with you while they are actually cooking your food to make sure it's exactly the way you like it. Half sandwich and a coffee cost me under six dollars. Don't wast your time this is the place to go if you want lunch. Downside of this place is that it closes at 3 everyday. read more
