The pizza is good. It's very average as far as NY style pizza goes. 6.5/10. The people we nice and the restaurant portion seems to have good ambiance. I stopped in for a slice only so can't comment on the rest of their food, but they only take cash but promptly point you to an ATM with a (of course) service charge. It's 2026 and there's no reason not to accept cards except for tax evasion or money laundering. Won't be back. read more

We were visiting the wild centre and stopped here for a quick bite with the family, we did not have high expectations.. food was decent our server wasn't the happiest but we really loved their garlic bites, past was a little greasy and the pizza was ok.. a decent place if you are in the area! I'm going to do the 5 star, there is but few options available but this one worked out for our family on our way to drop our student off at Cranberry Lake for a month. The waitress was good, our food delicious, the place was clean, cash only, but they have an atm. I had the chicken wrap and opted for Italian dressing it was omg amazing. So, on a weekend retreat in Tupper Lake, we found very few options for dinner and decided on Little Italy for pizza. I walked in and was immediately greeted - very friendly staff. I ordered a chicken parm sub (12"), 2 LG pies, and garlic knots. Was told 20 minutes. Note: no cards here - gotta use cash, but they do have an ATM on site (which was $3.00). While it was inconvenient, I really didn't mind so much as I believe cash transactions cut the greedy banks out of the equation and put more money into peoples pockets. So, 20 min and $63.00 I left with the food. The good: garlic knots were REALLY on point! The average: everything else, lol. The pizza was lacking enough sauce and tasted kind of like a bowling alley kids birthday party pizza, or Chuck e cheese. Edible, but @ $18.00/pie, I was hoping for better. The chicken parm was kind of embarrassing. One long chicken cutlet in between a long sesame roll with not enough sauce and cheese. Reminded me of a school lunch. I was expecting a wedge, lol. At $13.50, I was kinda aggravated. But whatever, I ate it. I live in the Southern Part of the state, so I guess it's just different from what I'm used to. People must not really share my opinion because the restaurant was very busy with both eat in diners and to go orders. The one thing that really got me, though, was they charged me $1.50 for sauce for the knots. Greedy! And the sauce tasted like it came from a can. I've never EVER been charged for sauce that comes with garlic knots. Anyway, it was a good clean restaurant and friendly staff, and we all filled our belly's, though it was at a premium! Lol. I think we're I travel to the area again I would surely look for other options, as this joint offers sub-par food at NYC prices. Being in a restaurant desert location, I guess that's the smart move, but please - chef - take a trip South and note how we do it - It's just BETTER! Little Italy has been a staple in Tupper Lake for almost 20 years now. The food is always delicious. Service is great, and the restaurant itself beautiful inside. Recommend 100% if you're in town and enjoy Italian food, definitely stop by. read more

Great pizza place around Adirondacks and the only place open at night if you are looking for dinner. I was staying between Saranac Lake and Tupper Lake, and was too lazy to cook dinner so ended up in this place. This place is CASH ONLY, however they do have a ATM. The restaurant is small inside however it was busy, we had to wait 30min before getting seated. We got mozzarella sticks to start and then got a large pepperoni pizza. Foods were tasty and came out fast. Overall, will definitely come back to this place while I'm up in the Adirondacks. They have a location in Saranac Lake but it was closed when we were there. read more

My wife and I were in the area and stopped by for lunch. Though the pandemic was on, the bar had 5-6 people closely packed together eating. They knew each other, so I guess they didn't mind. We picked a booth in the back... and saw a charming dining room through a doorway further in the back. In normal times, I bet it would be wonderful to eat at. I ordered the pizza burger cooked medium and it came with natural cut fries. The menu indicated it was local beef and perhaps it was, but my burger was a bit dense and overcooked. The sauce and cheese didn't add much flavor, and the pepperoni was MIA. The fries were great, a big surprise as I normally don't like natural fries. All in all, just okay food. My wife had the plain cheese (mozz. and ricotta) calzone and raved about it. It looked like a brick of cheese wrapped in dough, with a cup of sauce on the side. To me, it was too much fatty cheese and the sauce wasn't very good. It tasted mostly of dried herbs. But, my wife enjoyed both the calzone and the sauce (that part which she ate... it was two meal's worth and half came home). Desserts were available but nothing called to me, so I passed. Service was prompt and friendly. Everywhere I looked people were enjoying themselves. The restaurant was nice, the staff were friendly, the prices seemed fair, but I thought the food was average. read more

Excellent food, excellent service, even though the server, TRISH, was flying solo AND bartending and it was pretty busy. She was kind, attentive and funny! What a great server! She makes a mean Moscow Mule, too!!!! We chose mozzarella sticks as our appetizer and they were very good, including the marinara for dipping. However, the star of the show was definitely the pizza. We ordered a large cheese pie so that we could get a feel for what their pizza had going for it without masking the taste with different toppings. This pizza was devine....light, soft crust, flavorful but not overpowering sauce and delicious, perfectly distributed cheese. We cannot wait to go back! read more

Have been in town for River Pigs baseball and this is the place to eat. First, the food is very good. They do have a small bar that serves alcohol. The wait staff is friendly and works hard to service the customers. And, the menu has something for everyone. The only thing that kept me from giving this place 5 stars was that the only take cash (there is a ATM in the restaurant). I never use cash, and never have it on me. It was not necessarily inconvenient, just different. But, love this place and I'll be back with cash! read more

This was the only place open in Tupper Lake for dining in at this hour, but the menu is extensive. There were quite a few seasonal items not available but the food is well-prepared. The waitstaff is pleasant. We have just added this place to our list of places to go for dinner. On second visit here, at 8:30pm Friday, all of the specials were gone so they must have been good. Place was active with lots of sounds of merriment. Waitress was personable and helpful. On the next visit, the food was even better! read more

WOW...... been a while since i gave a review about sub par service. The good... we had a Italian Antipasta salad and a Stroboli Roll and split them - the salad and roll were very good. The bad... When the salad is huge (and it was) and 2 people are splitting it - you should bring 2 not one small plates to eat off of. Same for the Stromboli. She never refilled my water and when I finally flagged her down - she pleasantly says - "Of course I will get it for you" -- she took my glass and NEVER came back or mentioned it again. She brought the bill and said she'd be right back and would be our cashier. The bill was $18..76. She never came back. I left her a twenty -- Hope she enjoyed her $1.24 tip ~~ it was more than she deserved but I did not have an eternity to wait for my change. PS-- I normally tip 25-30 % and frequently add a twenty on top of that for attentive service. Very disappointing -- I'd steer clear of this place read more

We spent our afternoon at Wild Walk then went to lunch at Little Italy about 10 minutes from the walk in the town of Tupperware Lake... The service was good, food good and the garlic knots were delicious. I had baked ziti with marinara sauce which was good but not chunky which I prefer. My husband had chicken parm sandwich and he said it was very good... I would definitely go here again. Cash only no credit cards!... Tupper Lake has always had plenty of diners so it is nice that it has a restaurant with some ambiance other than the country diner feel that so many other (much loved) establishments have. We are not local but have been a few times now. The pizza is consistently good. My husband had the antipasto salad which was large, could have sufficed as a family style portion. My son had ravioli which was not anything fancy but it was good, the marinara sauce was decent. Service was good. Our server this last visit was accommodating and kept tabs on us without being overbearing. My only con on this place is the no credit cards. I'm sorry, but you're one of the most expensive restaurants in town, you should accept cards. I understand businesses don't like fees. Well newsflash, neither do you customers. Again, as a non local without access to my bank I have to pay Little Italy's ATM fee and my banks fee for using the machine. I don't carry large sums of cash so every time we want to go here we are hit with a $5 surcharge. So while we do like this place and spend a week or two in Tupper Lake minimally each year, we don't come here often. I think passing the fee on to the customer is kind of crappy. Anyway, definitely worth checking out, bring cash if you have it! read more

There is a big difference between good Italian food and getting what you are use to. Little Italy Resturant in Tupper Lake is what people are use to, but it is not good Italian food. I ordered carmalized onions as a topping for a pizza and got back sliced onions. The guy behind the counter said they have onions but no caramelized onions, I.e. he didn't know what caramelized onions are. When asked why did you tell me they could carmalize onions he said the person taking the order was not expected to know that. Next time I will buy a frozen pizza instead. At least then I will know what I bought will be what I want. I have had several meals here and they are always errors and terrible food practices at each meal. Been going here for years and the quality and service on the weekends takes a deep dive. People can't even be bothered to ring you out. Sat and watched 2 people make pizzas for 10 minutes right in front of me but no one would ring us out. Guy even had the nerve to say someone will be with you soon. I don't rate them 5 stars because they don't take credit cards, my class of chianti was kind of rank, and they have lots of verbiage on their menu about all prices being subject to change.
