I wrote my review elsewhere but I think I'll start using Yelp more. I would recommend this hotel because the staff was welcoming, the location is quiet enough for rest, and I truly enjoyed my stay. I was able to work without noises or distraction. Breakfast was okay but doable. The shuttle is free and you do have to call them to come get you. Pro tip: the hotel is out in the boonies so I'd suggest catching the shuttle to the airport and ride the rails into Seattle if you want to venture into the city. Last shuttle is around 10 something. Laundry is free so you can either DoorDash some detergent, run out and buy some or go to the front desk to purchase.

First of all hotel looks run down like its not taken care off. Second staff was very rude mostly the manager went to go ask what the latest check out was, and told the manager we were told by previous front dest worker that the latest check out was at 2 and she gave us an attitude and told us that would be another day charge and that she knows the rules because she was the manager. When we got to the hotel the tiles on the floor are coming off and the carpet is very dirty looks like cum stains on the carpet and had no housekeeping after telling them many times. Bed sheets were dirty and room very dusty. Would not recommend this hotel for a long stay maybe a night and no more than 2. Hopefully this can make it up to the owner.

A nice hotel 20 min from Seattle. Chose this hotel for the reviews, free breakfast, central to where we wanted to travel to and the price. The hotel seems to be in the back and not visible to the freeway. The registration desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is kinda outdated. It even smelled it. The room we got was decent for 5 people that had two queen beds and a sofa bed. You will get extra beddings for the one that stays on the sofa bed from the front desk. Pillows are too soft for me I sank in the pillow and it was small. It wasn't even a standard size pillow. The bathroom was pretty big. Enough towels for four so you have to ask for extra. Our room was right above the registration desk area so the window we had was right in front with structure building crosses so our view of outside was minimal. The room was clean. It had a good size kitchen with dining table. The walls and carpet was old and this is why I also say it's outdated. It's nice looking hotel from the outside and for some reason the hotel gets really packed with people as this location is popular for people waiting to get on their boat cruise ships. Good enough hotel and decent for our size. I liked their customer service but not sure I would stay here again. [81st R]

We are here for a weeks stay. It seems like most folks are here for the night catching a cruise the next day or just getting off the boat. Meaning there is a lot of competing activity at this hotel. There are few food options near by but the hotel across the parking lot has a hot breakfast buffet for $15.00/ person. The concept of the hotel is good but the maintenance is lacking. The rooms are clean but dated. House keeping will only attend your room once a week you get to select the day. Hall carpets were wrinkled and dirty. The hand sanitizer was empty with splatters on the wall and floor. The elevator floors were duck taped or missing linoleum. Most of the staff were kind and helpful especially the transport drivers. The check in staff were cold and lacked training or efficiency. But surprised us occasionally with being very helpful. For some interaction they had to check with someone. I will say that when the phones at the hotel went out we were able to contact a sister hotel they got through to our hotel and sent transport around. The next day We request pick up from the train station and were told it was three hour wait cuz they were dropping someone off. We just jumped in when the other passengers got out. We heard horror stories from other guests who had to wait hours for a pick up. Have Uber or lift available on your phone. Others suggested taking the light rail train to the airport were there a lot of taxis.

I don't understand why all these lemmings say this place is 'outdated. This place is charming and cozy and clean. It is surrounded by forest and the staff is 5 star. If cereal isn't your thing, take the $150 you saved and go to Dennys. This is now my go-to place to stay when I come to Seattle.

The location is convenient for exploring the greater Seattle area, and the views of Lake Washington are a wonderful bonus. My room was spacious, quiet, and comfortable, with cozy beds and thoughtful amenities that made for a relaxing stay. The common areas were inviting and well-designed, providing great spaces to unwind or get some work done. I also appreciated some of the unique offerings, including complimentary evening s'mores, an indoor pool, and an outdoor bar and restaurant that operates on select days. Food trucks appear on certain days for lunch too. The hotel is within walking distance of a park and hiking trails, making it easy to enjoy the outdoors. Another nice perk was the availability of complimentary bicycles, and there is a shopping mall just a short distance away for dining, shopping, and entertainment. The main drawback is the distance from downtown Seattle and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, as rideshare costs can add up quickly when traveling back and forth. However, if you don't mind being outside the city center, the peaceful lakeside setting is well worth it. Overall, I would happily stay here again and would recommend the Hyatt Regency Renton to both business and leisure travelers looking for a comfortable, well-appointed hotel with great amenities and easy access to outdoor recreation.

They aren't owned nor managed by a single company. The Bristol Apartments, for example, is owned by one investment company that is different than the empty towers and the Hyatt is a Hyatt property. It's a bit confusing if this review is for the neighborhood? Do we review neighborhoods now? And it is for all intents and purposes a neighborhood. There's one road in and one road out with the Hyatt, the Bristol, Tra, Peyrassol, the Seattle Family Center, Dock and Drink, and Water's Table filling out the portfolio. It is very pleasant with Coulon Beach Park next door and excellent viewing of fireworks when that resumes. With the parking garage there's plenty of parking though I cannot stress more than ever do not leave any valuables in sight in your vehicle. Southport may be isolated, but that isn't a deterrent for thieves. Personally I'd recommend parking where there's foot traffic since the upper levels are vacant I've only seen smashed out windows at those levels. And it is a pleasant place! In the summers it is busy. The water is so close and the views amazing. I love the four restaurants. It can get loud, and with the exception of a few incidents in 2020 due to people being angry about the mandates at the time it is a very safe space where families, dog walkers, and cute couples gather. Many a wedding takes place in the warmer months so it isn't uncommon to see beautiful gowns and fancy tuxedos, though I'm partial to the Indian weddings since the guests come in beautifully colored saris. There is a lot of diversity at the waterfront and that makes it a wonderful place to be. The winters can be busy too with Coulon Beach Park putting up lights for the holidays and Argosy cruises bringing the Christmas boats by. I always appreciate the carolers. I only wish people would acknowledge the road properly. Drivers ignore the speed limit signs, occasionally just stop in the middle street, or try to double park. Pedestrians often aren't much better because though there's a great sidewalk that connects the docks to the Bristol running up to Coulon Beach Park they'll just walk down the middle of the road like it's a bike path. I have seen a few close calls with pedestrians almost being hit because they're walking down the road instead of the sidewalk. It is a great area.

False advertising at this Hilton because there is an overpriced crappy breakfast only. The lobby was beautiful and would have been better if we could have found the desk clerk when we checked in...MIA 20 minutes. The last beautiful thing we'd see on our stay! Our room was nothing but filthy and I'm not a fan of worn out green stained carpeting and a horrible smell I won't soon forget. When we turned on the HVAC it sounded like a diesel truck that may take off & run us over. To stay safe we had no choice but to leave it off. Just as an FYI it became very cold. Not to worry because we wouldn't be sleeping because a party started up around 1:00 AM & went on until 3:30 PM. The smell of marijuana smoke began wafting under the door as well. I called the front desk multiple times and they were helpless & nothing changed! After getting up at 4:00 AM to go workout, I entered a filthy fitness center with sweat drops all over the equipment...just yuck! Then it was time to go to work after being up all night! This is not okay Hilton! I discussed this with the nice gal at the front desk and checked out! She said she would have the manager call me later. Guess who didn't call me later...the manager. Now that's a brand leader for you! Now to my favorite part of this entire nights stay. You know the 100% satisfaction guarantee; you guessed it...this does not apply at this hotel. We were charged full price for no sleep, no restaurant, scary unsanitary gym & and a contact marijuana high & no refund! The good news is I booked us another Hilton because my business trip wasn't over & it was nearly perfect & aligned with the Hilton brand. New plan going forward is to read all the reviews before booking because had I done so we would have not chose to stay at this party hotel. I'm surprised Hilton continues to allow this performance to their brand! Hilton you're better than this!!

A couple of groupmates had previously gone…read moreto Renton and recommended the Residence Inn in spite of the overall low rating, mentioning that one of the perks is a free breakfast every morning. I probably would have chosen the nearby Hyatt instead since it looked nicer, but they don't serve free breakfast there. Residence Inn Seattle South/Renton is located on Lake Washington Blvd across from Gene Coulon Park, not too far from The Landing. It's located next to Hampton Inn & Suites, which also serves free breakfast. When you arrive, you'll see a breezeway before the parking lot; the front desk is on the right hand side of that breezeway. There's a door on the left hand side that you can only access with your room key; that door can be useful if your room is on the northern half of the inn. Checking in was simple. Brittany (sp?) was the one who checked me in and gave me a brief overview of the hotel from the free breakfast to the housekeeping every other day as well as mentioning that a card would need to remain inserted in the slot by the front door in order to keep the lights on in the room. When I got into my room, the TV was on to welcome me to Residence Inn. There weren't any issues with my room after my inspection and also taking photos to add to this page. However, one of my groupmates did mention he had to switch rooms due to the toilet not flushing. He showed me video of that so I could see it for myself. Housekeeping is done every other day, so during my three-night stay, housekeeping was only done once. One of the desks in each room has a sign reminding guests of this policy. There's another sign on that desk that has a QR code where you can leave tips for their hardworking staff. There is free WiFi and breakfast for guests of this Residence Inn! WiFi info is posted at the front desk where you check in. Breakfast starts at 6:30 AM on weekdays and 7 AM on weekends. Each morning I had breakfast, they had scrambled eggs in the first heating well, but the three heating wells after that would vary. One had meat patties one day. One had breakfast sandwiches another day. There were some potatoes on one of the mornings, but I'll never forget the pork bacon on my last morning. That's only because the rest of my group went to get breakfast elsewhere, but I stayed behind to get not one, but two helpings of the pork bacon lol. Breakfast also includes the usual suspects like bread, bagels, fruit, yogurt, milk, and a juice machine. I was satisfied with the quality of the breakfast, and they even had some coffee in front as well. For some reason, I couldn't pour any liquid out of one of the dairy pitchers. One of the staff members notice me struggling with that, and she showed me that the lid was rotated the wrong way. After she rotated it, I was finally able to pour some liquid into my coffee. In addition to coffee, they also have dispensers for decaf and hot water. They do have a bar in the same place where breakfast is held, but they also have a food menu per state law. On my second evening there, I went down and ordered a barbecue chicken flatbread. Actually, I would have preferred the barbecue pork, which was $1 less, but I guess they didn't have any of the pork left? But I was more than willing to try the barbecue chicken knowing that is California Pizza Kitchen's signature pizza. Initially, they prepared my order to be eaten at the bar even though I would have preferred to eat in my room instead; the staff happily obliged and even offered me some utensils to go with my takeout box. Shoutout to the bartender, Brianna, who told me she used to live close to where I live now in SoCal! I also appreciate how they were willing to hold my luggage until I was done with work that day. However, when I tried to check out of the hotel on my last morning in Renton, there was no staff present to check me out. It took a minute or two before Geoffrey (sp?) checked me out, which was as simple as handing him my room keys. I didn't even need to say my name; all I had to provide was my room number and a preference for receipt delivery. I requested for them to hold my luggage until I returned later that day, and Geoffrey provided me with a numbered tag that I needed to return to get my luggage back; I don't know what I'd do if I were to lose that tag. I returned later in the afternoon where a couple of different front desk agents struggled to get my luggage back. It took them a while to figure out where my luggage was, even after I mentioned Geoffrey's name. Luckily, it didn't take much more than a few minutes before I finally got my luggage back. Overall, it was a decent stay at Residence Inn, and I can see why one of my groupmates recommended it. Bed was comfortable, and so was the sofa. No issues with the bathroom either, but the clock on the microwave didn't show the correct time. It was off by an hour and a few minutes, likely due to Daylight Savings Time.
