I booked this hotel because of their partnership deal with Bellair Airporter Charter. Needing a 1-night stay with a late check-in and early check-out (literally a 6-hour overnight stay), a clean, safe, budget-friendly accommodation was what I was looking for. Coast Gateway seemed to fit the bill. My room was quite fine for one night. Noise transference in the hallway was real, but with earplugs I was comfortable. I received a bagged to-go breakfast since I checked out before breakfast began (I wasn't offered the to-go, I had to ask for it), so I can't comment on the in-house breakfast. Communications about details of arrival and pick up at Sea-Tac and receiving an email receipt with the front desk were a little frustrating. For a new traveler or a foreign person, it wouldn't have been a fun experience. The fast shuttle to the airport was great. read more

The staff was friendly with our questions at check in/check out. The hotel and room were very clean, bed comfortable and liked the decor in room. The workout room was small but clean and had nice equipment plus filtered water dispense. It is a great location being in walking distance of airport terminal. Beware of the beds. Look at the actual mattress before even sitting down your things. Pics attached are from 2 different rooms. We started out in room 309. I did my standard strip of the bed and saw both bottom corners of the bed were disgusting. We went down to the desk and showed them these pics. They immediately booked us into another room, 607. My wife wouldn't even enter the room before I did my strip of the bed. Top left corner was so gross. We immediately went downstairs to the desk. After showing the second room's picture, I sat and waited in the waiting area. A new lady (not the manager) came out and said they were going to refund our stay. They offered nothing other than telling us they were going to refund us. We were 1200 miles from home with nowhere to stay. Luckily, we booked through a third party and they were able to get us in a nicer hotel room with no disgusting mattress in our room. My guess would be bed bugs, but I'm no exterminator... The bed was so overused it sagged in the middle. There is no light in the toilet area so you have to turn on the light in the whole bathroom area at night and wake up your family members. No frills hotel thats close to the airport. We booked using Expedia and arrived on Christmas eve to a room that had a sickly, sweet scent. Like someone vaped or smoked inside of it. The receptionist was happy to switch us to a different room on the sixth floor that didn't smell like a drug den. Coast gateway provides free breakfast starting early at 6. The breakfast was comprised of standard food like hardboiled eggs, breakfast sausage links, yogurt, cheese sticks, and a waffle maker. Unfortunately no fruit loops, apple juice, or hash browns. There is a shuttle, but the airport is so close that any able-bodied person can just walk into the airport. Might be worth walking instead of taking the shuttle if you dont want to risk being late to a flight due to sparse shuttle service. The room is comfortable albeit on the compact side. A fridge and a microwave is hidden in a cabinet. You'll need to bend down to use the fridge or the microwave. The bathtub is small and can probably only fit one person. All in all, I was comfortable during my stay and will keep an eye out for coast gateway hotels if continue to travel in the west coast of America and/or Alaska. read more

I booked this through a third party app. For an airport hotel, I was very pleased. We had already been on our vacation so I was looking for comfort, quiet, and a hotel that would not break the bank. We had 4 rooms booked with different people paying for each room. The front desk handled everything quickly and with great customer service. They even let us all check in early, which was so appreciated. Rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. This hotel backs onto the airport but not right where flights are taking off from. The only noise was the air conditioner going off and on quite a bit. If they upgrade anything, this would help to make the room really quiet. They offer a breakfast in the morning- we all had early flights so we just had the coffee and it was hot and good. They also offer a free shuttle service to the airport. This hotel has already exceeded my expectations. Airport hotels are a necessity for travelers but not they are not always the best. This place is clean, convenient, and the front desk staff was very friendly. When we checked in, my husband asked for a room on "the quiet side." The desk clerk replied that they are all quiet. The website says they have sound proof glass, and you can tell that is true. They do offer an airport shuttle, although we have a rental car to return so we will not need to use it. Breakfast is included & it is served between 6 and 10 am, which is longer than many other places. Breakfast had a good number of options: muffins, bagels, English muffins, hard boiled eggs, link sausage, yogurt, fruit, waffle maker, cereals, breakfast bars, yogurt, string cheese. There was an attendant who was refreshing depleted items. The room is large, has decent lighting, a king bed, mini fridge, small microwave, and coffee maker. I usually stay at Marriott properties but due to a flight change, I stayed at this hotel. It was last minute and the rate was full price. The room was pretty clean and comfortable. They offered breakfast in the morning. I had their hard boiled eggs & sausage which they prepared. When I went back to the room, something didn't set well & made me sick to my stomach. I laid down to try & feel better. There was a knock at the door 2x prior to checkout time. I forgot to latch the door and the attendant started to walk in, even though I announced that I was feeling sick! I called down to the desk and spoke with the supervisor Cecilia & advised her that I was not feeling well because of what I ate from their breakfast. She only reiterated the checkout time. I told her I was trying to rest and housekeeping kept knocking at the door. I still had 45 min. to checkout and laid down again. I was still sick to my stomach. Housekeeping knocked again right at checkout time! I called down and requested a late checkout so I could try to feel better. The same supervisor again only reiterated the checkout time. Again I said I wasn't well and I just needed some time. She said she could give me a 1/2 hour. I asked if I could have a little longer because I still need to get my things together as well and she said no, they were booked up today. As I tried to get ready while still sick, I got a call again! She said housekeeping was waiting outside. I asked if I could speak with the manager. She said she's a supervisor. I asked for the General manager. Then General manager, Tonya, answered. I explained my situation and all she could say was that no one else complained & she ate the breakfast & was fine. I said that's great but after I ate it, I became ill! I asked what they do when this happens? She said something about a thermometer & checking the temperature?? I assume that was for checking the cooked food temperature? What has that got to do with me being ill from the food?? I asked if I need to report it officially & is there a document to fill out? She said no. So nothing is reported and to just take the temperature?? She just suggested to go to the doctor but nothing formal is done. I asked if there isn't some formal protocol of reporting like there is for an accident? She said no. Then told me she could give me 15 to 20 minutes more to vacate the room. Wow! So she basically called me a liar, disregarded me & my being sick from their food, excused themselves from responsibility, and rudely told me to just vacate! I told her the reason I asked to stay in the room a little longer was for my stomach to subside so that I wouldn't be sitting in the lobby and throwing up. She didn't care & refused to extend the time! I sat in the lobby/breakfast room area still running to the restroom. When I was due to leave, I asked the afternoon staff again. Julia, the afternoon supervisor said she called the G.M. Again no report to be done. But now the G.M. said I should go to emergency & obtain a report and bring it back. This was never said when I spoke with her directly!! I have worked in hospitality for many years, in various companies. Even for Westin downtown Seattle & could not be more shocked at how this was handled! All companies have systems in place when things like this happen on property. Something's really wrong here!! Overall great value and comfort. Clean and good breakfast but I need to be sure the hotel gets this feedback... We had a problem at check in, apparently booked the wrong room category and had one queen bed for mom, dad, and 14 year old football player son. Staff quickly found us another room that worked well, but one of the women at the front desk joked that we were definitely "too fat" for one bed. I personally didn't hear her, but my 14 year old and husband did. I never saw her again that stay, but am still appalled. Generally it is strange to not have a room cleaned at all while you're there unless you ask. I get not needing a full clean every time, but emptying the trash and refreshing the things you need (coffee, etc) would be nice without feeling like you are a burden. read more

The bed creaks like something out of an old Frankenstein movie. We had to stay here only because the Bates Motel was full. The vending machines on the 4th floor take only debit or credit cards. For a $1.50 soda, the machine charges you (according to the display) $2.75 -- but then tells you that you have a $2.10 CREDIT --- showing a charge of $4.75. Actually, my bank shows a $5.00 charge twice, the first transaction apparently not delivering a soda but working properly to charge my credit card $5.00....repeat: Not delivering the soda -- but charging my credit card twice. INTERESTING that my bank says there were TWO charges of $5.00 each... for a single $1.50 soda. I spoke with the desk clerk, who says they don't control the vending company or their machines, and I'd have to speak with them. Calling the vending company was much like getting Gateway customer service -- speaking with someone for whom English is limited to phrase recognition and reads a script in response. About the most I'm outdoors get out of them was that their machine must not be working well. Yeah, like charging $10 for a $1.50 soda. That this sort of shenanigan goes on at a hotel associated with Alaska Airlines is unthinkable. They must hate their customers to be associated with these larcenists. To be fair, most hotels have some sort of "store" where you can purchase food, snacks, toiletries, alcoholic beverages -- and I can understand where there are those facilities that don't want to offer these services for the convenience of their customers. Speaking with the day staff, they claim I have to contact the vending company for a refund. Mhm. Do yourself a favor: if you have to stay here, walk a block to a convenience store. Do yourself another favor: stay somewhere else. read more

I was surprised upon check-in my prepaid parking was not at the hotel, but down the rode at a Masterpark Lot. You could take your car to the lot the night you checked in and Masterpark would take you to the airport and then you were to call the hotel and they would come pick you up. Or you could wake up even earlier to take your car, with all your luggage to Masterpark the day you fly. Both options were unsatisfactory to me; just added to the stress of travel. I chose to take my car the night I was staying at the hotel; but I took an Uber back to the hotel (and additional cost of $18). The hotel is clean, but the walls are thin. I could hear people in the hallway and in the rooms next to mine (especially when taking a shower). Because everybody leaves at different times, it was noisy all night!! Find a better hotel!! My boyfriend booked this place through a third party website for our last night from our 10 days trip, and it was much better than I expected! Pros: Service - in our experience, the front desk ladies were super nice and helpful. We checked in pretty late and they were very accommodating and helpful with all the info we needed to know. Room - room was better than I expected too! Maybe I learn not to expect so much that I was pleasantly surprised at how comfy and nice the room was. I was definitely weary of the reviews regarding bad experiences but thankfully, ours was one of the better ones. I booked this hotel through a third party website and it was a pretty good hotel. It's extremely close to the airport which is great. They have airport shuttles to and from the airport, and a shuttle to the Westfield SouthCenter mall on certain days. You have to make a reservation every time you want a ride to the airport from the hotel, which is what my party did so we can ride the Link. You have to book the reservation at least 2 hours prior to the actual reservation time and it happens in 30 minute increments, for example: 6:15 and 6:45. They were very responsive with the shuttles and making the reservation but get extremely upset when you are a minute late. We couldn't get on our 9:45am shuttle time because we got to the lobby at 9:45 and we were "late." They also have only two elevators which take absolutely a long time, hence why we were "late." Some staff members are nice and some staff members are rude, you never know what you'll get. The rooms are clean and nice and were fine for our stay. It was the elevators, the staff members, and the "late" situation that made my review a 3 star. read more

I stayed here many years ago and it was a good experience. Now, finding that my preferred hotel near SeaTac has raised its rates substantially, I thought I would try Coast again. Tried to book a room on my iPad and could not sign up for their "rewards" program which was required to book any of the rooms available. Thought it might be a technical issue so tried on my computer, again no luck. Called the reservations line and she offered to rent me a room for substantially more. Complained about the "bat and switch" and she then said she could give me the members rate but would need to sign me up for a membership with no guarantee I would be able to verify or access my membership. I think any modern business that cannot maintain a functional website and thus wastes a substantial amount of customer time, should not have my business. I will pay a little more and stay at my preferred hotel. read more

Super convenient and literally a mere 6 minutes drive right down the street from the car rental building. The front desk was nice and accommodating and super helpful with info. The hotel seems a little old and dated but the rooms were clean. One drawback, there's not a lot of late night food, good food anyway, in the immediate area. My friend and I met both flew in to Seattle a little before midnight and we're starving. We ended up going to bed hungry. Breakfast is included with your stay. It's not extravagant but the basics are there and works to get your day going and good especially if you're on a budget. read more

Bellair Shuttle has an arrangement where it's customers get a discount rate at the Coast Gateway. Just ask the reservation taker and they provide and code you use when calling the hotel to book a room. I arrived late and found the staff very pleasant and helpful. Room was nothing fancy but comfortable. Especially pleasing was the number of grab bars in the shower which made using it despite my limitations very easy. The free continental breakfast is daily 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. just off the lobby. Includes yogurt, boiled eggs, toast, pastries, sausages, a waffle maker, fruit, juices, breakfast cereal, tea and coffee. Fairly hardy and the woman who ran it was very helpful and diligent restocking as needed. It hit the spot! Check out was a breeze. And they even aided me in getting picked up by Metro Access. I had an unfortunate circumstance in which I was stranded at the SeaTac airport. Luckily they were able to get me in for the night. I booked for two in case I needed an extra room but ended up not needing the second night. I called to cancel my second night and request a refund and was told it would be processed the following Monday. I called the Monday to confirm and was told they would call me back to review the request which never happened. I followed up today and was told the checkout was post the time allotted to receive a refund and was charged for both nights. I understand the policy but the communication was unsatisfactory. I would not have checked out early if I hadn't been told I would be refunded. read more

I am extremely displeased with this hotel. We left a bag of clothes in our room after check out and noticed once we got to our airport parking. We called the front desk to alert them of our bag of clothes and asked if they could hold on to them once we return from our trip 4 days later and they said yes. We then stopped by at the time I told them we would fly in and they said they did not have it. I asked how this was possible since I called 15min after we left to tell them about our clothes. The receptionist was unapologetic and said that they do not personally go up to the room to retrieve missed items. Since she said they don't go up there, I asked if they at least let cleaning service know that there would be a missed item in our room and she said no!!! Check-in was smoooth and we recieved a coupon for a free appy be at 12 hour prime rib, the resto in the parking lot. The room was small but outfitted well (starbucks coffee).. Bed was super comfy. Breakfast was included and there were plenty of protein choices, wjite breads, bagels, waffles and apples and oranges. Free shuttle is great deal! We stayed here on our way in and out of Seattle. We arrivedm Christmas Day and the service was excellent. The airport shuttle arrived quickly, the front desk people were courteous and the room was clean and spacious with comfortable beds. Shower is a little hard to manipulate over a six inch ledge, so get ADA if you have issues. On the way out, we ate next door at Sparks Roasthouse - excellent. Convenient to airport and easy to get downtown! My husband and I stayed at Coast Gateway Hotel in Seattle for two nights and really enjoyed our stay! This hotel is so convenient to the airport! We got in late the first night and the hotel shuttle picked us up in minutes and it's practically next door! It's also really easy to walk to the light rail to get downtown! The rooms were clean, nice and the complimentary breakfast is awesome! There's also a nice restaurant right next door as well as a Subway next to that. We loved it and we'll definitely stay here again next time we're in Seattle! read more

Stayed here for one night. Lots of free parking. Arrived a bit before midnight and was greeted by a nice desk agent. Check in process was a breeze and she was very friendly. It's an older hotel and certainly feels the part. Got to the room and it was clean enough and will equipped. Shower dispenser pumps were broken so had to squeeze the soap out. Ice machine is only on the 1st and 4th floor and since I was on 3rd had to go down to lobby. Bed was pretty firm but I was tired so fell right asleep. Next morning went down to check the complimentary continental buffet. Had the basics so just grabbed a coffee and left as I wasn't interested. Coffee was pretty weak and the coffee maker in the room brewed a better cup. Checking out was easy. If you need a quick one nighter this place is good enough. I got to visit The Coast Gateway Hotel twice in one week to take a nap in before and after Sasquatch Music festival in between my flights. Talk about convenience! Located seconds away from the airport (via free hotel shuttle service) I was able to maximize rest time. The rooms were A-OK and equipped standardly. There are flat screen TVs, free WiFi, and the water pressure from the shower was outstanding! Breakfast and coffee were a one star for me. The food was all processed and there was not a healthy option in sight -not even a banana for my hungry belly. In this case, coffee is my breakfast. However, the coffee was weak and served in styrofoam cups. Yes, styrofoam cups are bad for the planet but also equally make coffee taste bad in my opinion. In conclusion, I'd stay here again under the circumstances I was in but make sure I had a go-to coffee shop nearby. read more

My spousal unit found this on Expedia or some like service. The price was very good, especially considering it included wifi, parking and a pretty complete continental breakfast. Factoring those things included in the room rate, the Gateway was $30 to $50 less expensive than other similar hotels in the area (reality: no airport hotel is "inexpensive"). It is an easy in/out to the hotel with their own traffic light. There is a restaurant next door (not connected) for lunch/dinners. Wally Park is next door, so possibly you can park one night "free" at the Gateway before parking at Wally Park on the day of your flight. Another savings! The rooms and facility are very well maintained. The rooms are quite nice, modern, clean, and well appointed: Coffee maker, full cable, wide screen TV, mini fridge and micro wave, comfy beds. We had a room on the airport side. There was some plane noise but honestly, it was on par with the in-room air conditioner/heater. Check in / check out were easy. The front desk lady (a fellow red head) heard us talking about where we were going for dinner (13 Coins) and offered a $10 off coupon to use there. As once a 150,000 mile/year business traveler who knows hotels here and internationally, this is a solid 4 star airport facility with an extra "atta way" for the value read more
