The audacity to charge me $100. Yes I did tip $15 because I'm dumb. He asked me "do you like them" I said "I like the yellow." I had already pointed out that my pink nail was very crooked before he even added acrylic. I had also corrected him on the flowers twice. Not to mention, we were supposed to do dip in the first place.. guy was gentle but not necessarily friendly. I tried to hold a convo with him and he said "talk to your friend" lol. Mind you, she also got her nails done and while they were better looking than mine, her design was also messed up. My nail tips are lifted, crooked, the design is awful--I mean look at my thumb flowers. The acrylic application is also awful. Nails are uneven and bumpy. I do not recommend this place. The worst nail salons are those that do not care about your nail health and want to make a quick buck. My nails one month later are breaking and bending because of how much the nail tech carelessly drilled them down even after I told her to stop and that I was in pain. She did not care and neither did the manager, she fought with me, and gave me a nasty attitude. See the photos of how my pinky nail looks a month later after the tech kept drilling and drilling the bare nail while I begged her to stop because it hurt. It is thinner than paper, cracking, and bending. This is the unhealthiest and weakest my nails have been in my life due to the nail techs careless drilling of my nail. read more

My nails are generally strong under my gel. Not anymore. He filed the absolute hell out of them. I can't believe I didn't stop him! He cut them down so crookedly and misshapen too! I showed him a picture. Simple, shorter, round . I have SHORT, sharp squared edges and within two days, they were breaking at the quick. I'm so mad at myself. Really mad. I've had several bad experiences here after two manicures and a pedicure here. My last manicure is what really pushed me to write this review. I am even adding pictures this time. It was $65 not including tip. I didn't have time to stay and get it fixed because I had to be to work in a couple hours and had an event to attend that evening. Always get your prepping done before events just in case you need time to redo - lesson learned. My fingernails turned out way shorter and thicker than what I wanted. They are lumpy, uneven, and the shape is inconsistent and lopsided. For their prices and positive reviews on their yelp page, I expected much better. These look way goofy, the shape is terribly for how short they are. They look like nubs, I'm embarrassed I wanted a full set of acrylics with gel polish. They ended up using a different technique where they use a stringy gel substance to shape the nail (instead of the usual acrylic process, where they basically make their own moldable acrylic with this purple liquid and a powder combination). They asked me about it, but I didn't understand what they meant and just thought they were referring to typical gel polish. I didn't say anything because I was assigned to this nail tech who knew this technique and he had already started by the time I realized it was different. So I gave the the benefit of the doubt and was curious. I didn't mind this technique, but it did seem to take a lot longer and have a less seamless outcome so I don't recommend it. I wish there was better communication both on my end and there's and that they checked in between steps to see if it was turning out the way I needed it to. Even after he went over my nails with a nail drill to smooth them out, they still turned out way, lumpy and inconsistent. He filed them a couple times but he was inconsistent with how much, he didn't file my right hand as much and those are longer than my left. So now I am stuck with inconsistent lengths and shapes on each nail , on top of some debris that's hardened underneath. I had previously received a fill and gel polish that also ended badly. I came in after having a full set and a fill (done elsewhere) and had the same set of tips on from about a month ago. I told him I would need a new set. After they looked at them, they said they could just do a fill, and that it would save me money. I was skeptical in trusting this judgment, but decided to do so, because I was appreciative that they were keeping an eye out for my wallet. Within days, these nails were lifting at the base where my cuticles are. I would wash my hair, and it would get caught in where the nails were lifting and tear my hair out. Not only that, I was getting so much stuff caught between my natural nail and fake nails that you could see the gunk through my sheer gel polish on top. GROSS. (I even have a special toothbrush to clean under my nails with and the gunk was still getting caught between things because they were lifting so much). Within a week I ended up ripping them off because they were coming up so bad and cracking that they looked terrible and were becoming an inconvenience. I gave my nails about two weeks off to recover before I went back in and got my last manicure that really swore me off from this place. Luckily, the pedicure that I received here, which was a different appointment from the previous two, wasn't as bad. If you looked close enough, you could see the layers of regular nail polish and where they ended. Also, one big toe turned out more square, and the other more round. Overall the pedicure was decent, kind of mediocre. read more

I had high hopes for this place based on other reviews. I was visiting the area for work and desperately needed a gel manicure. They squeezed me in easily on a Friday afternoon. She soaked my nails in warm acetone which she said was safe but my nails feel very brittle now. The total for dip removal and a gel manicure was $48 (seems steep to me and I'm from California). 4 days later two of my nails are already chipped and looking rough. I have been seeing Cindy for my nails for 2+ years & I won't go to anyone else. In fact, I followed her here from another salon that is much closer to my house in Tempe. She always comes through w the perfect design I have in mind & she pays attention to my personal style so well that sometimes she knows what I want even better than I do (i.e gold chrome powder over a design to match my always gold jewelry)! She does such an amazing job, & takes her time to get them perfectly shaped, the perfect thickness, and no lifting - they last me so long. She's always friendly & happy to see me. It can be so hard to find the right nail tech for your tastes, but Cindy does amazing work. I've gotten a regular manicure twice now. First time was right before the owner changed and most recently a week or so ago. Looks pretty much the same. They are always able to take me in last minute and do a good job. Lots of colors to choose from. They have water available. Haven't gone to their restroom so can't comment on that. Parking can get dicey because it's a very popular shopping center with Trader Joe's and fogo de chao customers taking the majority of parking spaces. read more

Look at those clean corners, no messy polish on my skin and everything clean and shiny! 10/10 would recommend. Also, I am very picky when it comes to cleanliness and this salon is very clean. I was laughed at multiple times and the nail tech was rude and scoffed as if she couldn't be bothered multiple times during the appointment. I have never been treated so poorly, and made to feel this miserable in any business establishment. I wish I asked her name but felt so uncomfortable that I didn't. Also the scorching hot acetone that burns your hands wasn't ideal either and something I wouldn't recommend. 2 stars because they got me in fast and were clean. Low quality made worse by bad customer service! Writing to share my bad experience at this salon on February 18th. Visiting from out of town for three weeks. Gel nails were getting bad so I did my research in the area and settled on La Rosa given reviews. I called ahead to ask questions and explained that I was nervous going to a new salon because not everyone understands how to properly take off gel nails without ruining natural nail. I was assured the process was gentle on nails. When I arrived the tech used the dremel on the old gel, soaked with acetone for about one minute, and then used a very abrasive nail file to get the rest of the gel off the nail. The technician did not use a bonder to ensure the nails lasted the full two weeks. Three days later my thumb gel nail completely came off. Two other nails started to lift. I called this morning to ask for a refund as I do not want them to re-do a bad job in the first place and filing nails twice within three days will result in super thin nail beds. I was told they could not issue refunds over the phone without seeing in-person and I should come in. I went back to the shop and was told for only one nail they would not issue a refund. They would fix it. I did not want it fixed given it would only thin my nails even more. They refused. I asked the attendant to call the owner and the attendant apparently did and the owner refused to issue a refund, only fix the nail. Save yourself time and money, and more importantly aggregation, from dealing with these crooks who only care about profit and not taking care of your nails. read more

For $35 I got one of the worst pedicures ever. The top coat wasn't even applied with care causing wrinkles at the base of every nail (see photo). He hardly filed my heels (less than 5 secs each side). I didn't want to complain in person but should have so he knows to have more care. Hope this review helps. read more

Don't see Leo. After seeing him 3 times ..finally asked to be seen by someone else. I came in and boom I'm with the same guy that I was trying to avoid. I paid 70 for this.. I wanted chrome for the holidays and the chrome was brushed on-top of black paint .... Well the edges of my nails are still showing that black paint. Overall my experience here is they don't pay attention to detail. It's a rushed experience and When I ask for a certain shape there's always a reason why a different shape is better (usually leaning towards the easiest option). My nails are always crooked and I have to ask him to fix certain ones until the shape is Decent. I wouldn't recommend this place and don't think my nails look worth 70 dollars and a 20% tip which is what i freaking tipped. read more
