Imagine you going to get your nails done for your birthday and a week later your nails start to lift and another week later they pop/break off. Then you reach out to the owner only to be told that you can't be refunded or have your nails fixed if that's what you're looking for, when you only called to question if this normal or not for your nails to look like they've been done for a month and it's only been a week and some change. Then be told you can come get them fixed but have to pay. I shouldn't have to go out my way to come back to the shop to pay more money because my nails were rushed and not done properly! The owner sky is super rude and I will be disputing the charge with my bank and hopefully I get my money back because I sure enough deserve it. Don't say I didn't try to resolve this matter before escalating because I made three attempts! Do better. All I asked for is for them to be fixed, then a refund because of the combativeness. You left me no choice. The first screenshot is messages I sent on July 11th, just 10 days after I got them done. The other messages are between me and the owner today, July 18th and the pictures I took of the other nails. Horrible! So far 6 nails are trash. Edit to respond to owner: there's no full concept to give. I said what I said and I stand on it just like you are with decisions you made by not making this right. Stop being defensive, argumentative and take responsibility. I'm not the first to complain about nails breaking quickly after a service, look at your google reviews which you have responded in an aggressive way. 3 days. 5 days, a week later it doesn't matter! Most nail salons give you that weak window to reach out for any complaints. I will never step foot in another nail salon because it's a waste of money, time and energy that comes along with piss poor results and customer service. The time you're going back and forth with me you should be using to put more effort into your service! About context about the grow out you're not making any sense. I just moved here from Texas, I was desperately searching for "my" nail place. I went to 2 other salons before this one and they just weren't great. I've just started going to Deluxe Nails and Lashes, but I'm already a dedicated customer! I've seen Danlay and Jordan, both killed it on my nails! I've been getting my nails done a long time and have never had anyone take the time and care to really make my nails look amazing. I never feel like they're rushing to get me in and out. Even when I messed up a nail, they took the time to not only fix that nail but also clean up any others I had scuffed up (I use my hands a lot for work) and made them look good as new for my engagement party the next day!Everyone is so nice and positive and I love the overall vibe. Let me start with the "greeting" by the person and the front. I mean, I'm not sure if she just has RBF or if she truly hated me but she made me feel like I did not belong there. Checking in and checking out she was so cold and rude. I paid over $80 with tip and if you look at my pics... the lines in my design were so shakey and looks like a toddler painted them. If you can't do design, just say so! Also, only a week from getting them done and they're lifting and chipping. What a waste of money. Also they had the back door open so whoever was smoking in the back... all of their smoke kept coming in the door. As well as when my nail person came in to sit with me, she completely reeked of cigarettes. I had an appointment here and I had a work emergency, so I couldn't make it. I called three times several hours before the appointment to let them know, but their voicemail box was full so I wasn't able to leave a message. They ended up calling me an hour after my appointment time and when I explained that I tried my best to let them know in advance but their voicemail was full, and that I'd like to reschedule, she said "no thank you" and hung up on me. This is my favorite salon in the valley for acrylic nails! I've tried a handful of different places and my search has finally ended. I found this salon on Instagram (@deluxenailsandlashes). Their work is amazing and fairly priced for the quality and results they deliver compared to other salons in the area. I never have the time to get a fill every 2-3 weeks so I come here once a month, and to my surprise they always stay on without breaking, so I can vouch for their nail quality being top tier. I've only gotten acrylic full sets and fills here so I can't comment on any of the other services they offer, but all of the nail techs are super talented so it doesn't matter who you end up with. I've gotten my nails done with 3 different nail techs and I've had no complaints. I don't particularly have a favorite so I always book with whoever's available. If you are super picky about your nails, I would go to their Instagram and book an appointment with the nail tech you like best. Their captions show who did the set. I usually make last minute appointments and they were able to accommodate me every time - although I don't recommend this route as they seem to be getting busier and busier every time I make an appointment. They do allow walk-ins as well but I highly recommend making an appointment prior to going. Note they charge a fee when using a credit card so bring cash or pay via Cash App, Venmo or Zelle. Overall, I love this salon and I will continue to get my acrylic nails done here. All of the nail techs were capable of all the design requests I've thrown at them, so I have no doubt you would be satisfied with their work as well! read more

I wanted to get my nails done, so o decided to waltz over here. I noticed they had remodeled, at least from the outside because they have a frosted glass exterior. I walked in and it's beautiful, white accents and looks inviting and clean. I was seated immediately with Kathy, who was a good conversationalist but not overly chatty which I appreciated. I like that they have a book of nail colors, makes it easier to choose than looking at the wall of polish bottles. I still had a hard time deciding but went with a pale, glittery pink. I got the classic manicure, which includes your basic shaping, buffing, cuticle trimming, soak and massage. Before she painted my nails, Kathy asked if I'd like to pay so that my nails don't get smudged afterwards. I said okay, and thought it was a good idea. We sat back down and Kathy applied a base coat, two coats of the pink polish, a glitter polish, and a topcoat. My nails seemed significantly shorter when polished, but I liked the square shape. I would choose a different color next time, something darker. My manicure was fairly quick, ~30 minutes, so that was nice. A male employee threatened to call the cops and lie to them over a public parking spot. The atrocious behavior I witnessed by this employee aligns with many 1 star reviews for this salon. I have been a customer at this salon as I found it visiting others businesses in that center. Today, I had an appointment with another business close to the salon. The church was having an event and majority of the parking spots were blocked off with limited business parking. I parked in an unmarked, public parking spot that happened to be in front of the salon. It was the only open option that was near my appointment. As I walked toward my destination, a male employee of the salon came out and told me to move my car. I told him it's a public parking spot, I have an appointment with another business and there is limited parking. He said he doesn't care and he will call the cops. I said he can't because it's not a marked or designated spot. He said "I don't care, I will call the cops and tell them you are with the church" as he pointed to a sign that says church patrons will be towed. I was walking away from the church and I told him I had an appointment with x business, so it was obvious I wasn't with the church. After he admitted that he would lie to the police, I followed him into the salon because I wanted to make sure he wasn't serious. I told him to show me where it says I cannot park there as a business patron. He clearly knew I wasn't with the church. He told me to be courteous to a business and his customers and not park there. I told him that he needs to complain to the church. I would have liked to park near where I was going but that wasn't an option. Don't tell someone to be courteous to a business when there are numerous businesses impacted by the parking, too, and I didn't see them threatening the salons customers over the limited parking. New to the area and need to find someone that does great quality... This place isn't it. The owner is very nice. And talkative. Whoever did my nails... not so much. I'm sure there are other people there that does amazing work. But I wouldn't know and I'm never going back. I got my nails done on a Friday because I had a wedding on Saturday. We will never go back. The guy who sits in the front by the front door treated my daughter so terribly she almost cried. She had been to him numerous times before and she really liked his work but this last time he must have been having a bad day and treated her as if she was bothering him. He had an attitude from the moment we walked in, so even before she told him what she wanted he was rude. She needed a fill, but asked for a new set. Instead of kindly explaining he didn't have time he didn't talk to her the entire time, got up and got himself water but didn't offer her any, and mostly he did the crappiest job on her nails. First and foremost I'm just so thankful this place is open while pretty much everything in this city is closed. Regardless of being controversial or not, I vote for all salons to be open so we can at least remain pretty during such sad times. On a serious note, today was my first time there and I'll sure go back. The place is walking distance from my condo, has plenty of parking, is clean, well decorated and has a huge color selection. Their prices are pretty much on the average for North Scottsdale area and they seem to have plenty of technicians. They do not take walk-ins but were able to make a reservation to later the same day. My technician was a lady (I forgot her name) and she was FANTASTIC. Fast, precise, friendly without being overbearing, and my emails look amazing. She lacks table side manner as soon as you request something that didn't fit in to her agenda. I asked for a manicure twice, it was very rushed and she barely let my finger soak ( I was in and out of this pass in less than 10 minutes) and while she was trimming my cuticles it was hurting! While she was trimming my old nails she had an attitude the whole time and the nails were flying everywhere. I assume that while she was working on removing my old set she was fed up and decided she had had enough of that and was just going to fill the rest even though she had already removed 4 or 5 nails! That's when I got up to pay and left, the best $20 I ever spent just to get away from that terrible woman. I popped in a few weeks ago to get my nails done last minute and enjoyed my experience for the most part. A week later three of them had broken off and the dip chipped on two other nails. I thought I was just rough on them. I was charged $45 for a SNS mani which is very fair. Their pay system went down when I went to check out and I had to wait 10min for it to come back up and they nearly charged me twice. I logged in to my bank to show them it already took the payment before it went down. I go back yesterday for a full set with tips this time since I'm traveling for work and can't have them breaking... I took this reference photo. I was talked out of both gems and matte finish. I also asked that the tips be filed on one corner because it was higher than the other and was denied. Twice. The next morning my SNS is pulling away from the tip on my thumb.. which leads me to my last issue: I was charged $90 for an ombré full set. No other design. I'm sorry but I've had my nails done for 20 years all over the world and I have NEVER paid that for a ombré full set. It's one thing to overcharge but it's another to not listen to your customer and a day later my nails are already imperfect. I am very unhappy with my experience. I had an appointment for gel manicure and classic pedicure. The guy who did my gel manicure was ok except he ripped off too much skin off my cuticle, one finger started bleeding. But it wasn't a big deal. But the gel manicure started chipping a day or two after. The lady who did my pedicure is the one I didn't like. She must've really liked my bag because she kept asking about it which was completely fine but she wanted to see it up close so I held it up to her closely and she grabbed my leather bag with her wet hands. A big turn off. And she kept stopping in the middle of the pedicure to ask me to help her find the bag on Google. And when she was done, she just left without saying anything. She literally just got up, disappeared for a good 10 mins, and packed her stuff and headed out the door. She didn't even take the toe separator thing off my feet before she left. I paid $75 for a new set (dip) and $48 for a gel pedicure. My nails turned out awful.. I gave the woman a photo of a neutral pink I wanted and she gave me a dark pink. I told her I was unhappy with the color and she didn't care.. terrible customer service. For the pedicure, it was SO basic and nothing special. The lady kept hurting me when she was working on my feet... I have nice feet to start with and get frequent pedicures.. I didn't need much work done.
