While there are many expensive pieces of jewelry, there is also a large selection of affordable items so don't let price tags scare you off. Just keep perusing the dozens of jewelry cases filled with earrings, rings, bracelets, and necklaces. I walk around one direction, slowly, then turn and go the other direction to make sure I don't miss anything! There are so many treasures! Jewelry is arranged in cases by designer. Some that I particularly like are Cathy Waterman, Sophie Buhai, Spinelli Kilcollin, and Jill Platner. You can even view the jewelry online by designer, by type and even by price range. Those working here are exceptional. Very responsive and helpful without ever being pushy. They understand that jewelry is very personal and these are big decisions. They will let you try on whatever you like, and take as much time as you need, and will be friendly and gracious even if you end up not buying anything. In addition to the jewelry, I love the collection of unique glassware - cocktail glasses, brightly colored drinking glasses, vases in unique shapes and vibrant color combinations and candle holders. They would definitely be the centerpiece of a room. The store itself is large, bright, airy with plenty of room to walk around and take it all in. We purchased an engagement ring and band from her with the thought that, as the main setting was from the 1940's, that the metal was bent along the right hand side. We decided to get that fixed with our regular jeweler at a later time, but left the ring with her and her bench jeweler to size it. After he proposed (about six months after the ring was purchased) we took the ring to have it looked over as I would begin to wear it every day. It was at that time we found out the ring had a HUGE chip in the main stone. A chip so large Antoinette should not only have mentioned it (she didn't), she should have noted it on the receipt, and - quite frankly - should not even have been selling it. The stone is actually worthless. Not "worth less" as in less than we paid, but complete garbage. As we purchased during COVID - and trusted her - we did not look at the ring through a loupe before buying it. We spent four hours in the store looking at rings ranging from a couple thousand dollars to $15,000. As an aside, the runner up ring was $11k or $13k and, had we known about the chip, that would have very easily been the sale/"the one." Since the refusal of our jeweler (and many others) to reset the stone to hide the crack or re-cut the stone (it's already small) - we have asked her numerous times to make it right. Thus far the only offer is to swap it for a ring with a smaller stone (that isn't chipped) but not part of a set. This review is mostly moot as she is not in business anymore - but I feel it is necessary as someone who touts herself as a small business jeweler who loves her customers and her pieces is clearly a fraud. The ring is junk, I hate looking at it, I have zero recollection of a positive buying experience, and honestly wish we had never set foot in her store. There are *tons* of online stores that specialize in old Euro cut and old mine cut stones that allow for returns and who are more than happy to make things right. Buy from them instead.
