I contacted 7 painters, heard back from 5, got quotes from 4, and selected J&M because they had the right answers, knew what they were doing, and offered the best value. If it sounds like they weren't the cheapest, that's true, because they used primer and two coats of the right paint where needed and did the prep the right way. When you're paying a large expense for your house, you want it done right so it will last and you don't have to do it again soon. They did a high quality job that I was very pleased with. The way to determine if the price is fair is to subtract the cost of materials and divide the remaining cost by the number of people-days it takes. From that perspective and from their quality of work, they were definitely the best deal and not worth doing the work myself. I'm glad I didn't because they knew more than I did and it turned out better. During the process, I observed all the work and asked a lot of questions. I like to hire technicians, not sales people. Technicians are honest, share information freely, and explain the principles. Marcos and his crew are definitely technicians that I trust.
