    Bar-B-Que Brisket Sandwich

Best BBQ sandwich in the world! I have been here many times and the quality and taste is always the same; delicious! I highly recommend!

Deli cut roast beef reheated in a microwave is what i equate their "brisket" to

Larry's Smokehouse is very misleading. Maybe there is a Larry (or there was at one point), but that is the only thing the within the name of the establishment that is correct. Walked in on a Monday afternoon and decided to lets try the smoke pork and the brisket. Got a 3/4# of each. Upon getting it home, I open the package and the pork looked decent, but lacked any color you would expect from a smoke. The brisket was resembled more of boiled roast beef slices that an college dorm cafeteria would serve. Either way, both meats lacked any sense of smoke flavor (and/or salt. At the very least, season the meat. Perhaps that is why they gave me enough BBQ sauce to drown the meat. Would I eat it again? Probably not. There is an Albertson next door and I am sure their deli has some sort of bbq in the hot case.

Sadly, another no for a BBQ joint. This place seems to engender controversy in its Yelp reviews. Some love it. Some hate it. And it seems to be largely customer service related. More on that in a minute. Larry's Smokehouse has been around awhile and has moved several times. Larry sold the business to his daughter and son-in-law and isn't involved anymore. The good? The meat (well, the brisket I tried) isn't dry at least. Some complain about the fat. That indicates a lack of much exposure to good BBQ brisket in Texas. Brisket SHOULD BE A BIT FATTY. At least Larry's got that right. And the BBQ sauce is tasty. Mac and cheese is tasty, if rather pedestrian. The beans were good. But where's the smoke? Because my brisket was like roast beef and had zero smoke flavor. And it was served drenched in BBQ sauce. Tasted okay and wasn't dry, but it wasn't BBQ. It was roast beef. The cornbread was okay, but had the texture of cornbread that's been frozen and thawed to be served. And it was very dense, but not in a good way. Just nothing to write home about. They bottle and sell that BBQ sauce, and now I wish I had looked at a jar to see what the ingredients were because... They also make and sell (and are very proud) of their smoked salmon. It's "wild Atlantic salmon from Canada." What? Umm. Okay. We live in the Pacific Northwest, with some of the world's finest wild Pacific salmon readily available. I am not going to support Atlantic salmon in WA State. So, I have no idea if this smoked salmon is any good or not. Oh, and the smoke? EVERYTHING here that is smoked is smoked with Alder wood. Wait, to be clear, it's from alder wood PELLETS. Not even whole wood. Okay, that explains the lack of smoke flavor in the brisket. Alder is great for fish. Not so much for other meats, and that shows here. And pellets are an attempt to sterilize what is the messy and exacting art of traditional wood fired BBQ. They are the lazy man's attempt at BBQ, and they fail in all but the most skilled hands. I have yet to find a BBQ restaurant that uses pellets and does a fantastic job. I have eaten with a few home chefs who manage to pull it off, but it usually requires almost as much effort in the process as just using real wood. Customer service was coldly efficient and dull, but it seemed there was a certain something brewing right below the surface the entire time I was there. It felt like the owners were tired and just going through the motions. So, I could see what some describe as horrific customer service experiences (especially with catering) happening. After dining it and experiencing the atmosphere and the food, I wouldn't want to have them cater anything. This place is a big no from me.

Worst barbecue I've ever had. The brisket was not freshly hand carved. As another reviewer mentioned, the meat looked like boiled roast beef, not smoked brisket. The brisket was thin deli style slices slathered in a barbecue sauce instead of the sauce being on the side. The meat wasn't tender and didn't measure up to the standard for brisket to slowly separate as you gently pull on one end of the slice with no resistance. I ate one bite and tossed it. The potato salad is good but that's it. The man at the counter was very rude when I inquired about the salmon used for the smoked salmon saying "you wouldn't know the difference between species." He doesn't know me. The salmon is being smoked wrong if you can't tell a chinook from a sockeye from a coho. All you're tasting is smoke then. Why would you use Atlantic salmon when you're in the Pacific Northwest? I regret buying food after this exchange. This was my first time and will be my last time at your establishment.

Larry's Poor Boy Sandwich & Bar-B-Que Brisket Sandwich

Heard of this place by a couple of my friends when they were in Bothell but now they moved over to Snohomish which doesn't bother me because how close I am to it! Right now they are only doing take out but there are a couple of picnic tables outside that you can sit down and enjoy the delicious bbq! I was so surprise on how affordable the food here was! Everything was a fair price and you get a lot for how much you pay! I decided to try their smoked brisket sandwich(half) and their poor boy sandwich(half) and with each half sandwich you order, you also get a small side of either potato salad, coleslaw, baked beans or mac & cheese! It might be a hard choice but their potato salad was delicious! Lastly, you get a small bag of chips too! With both of the sandwich I ordered, it was only $16 after tax and tip! So you would only pay 6 if you get half a sandwich. You can't beat that at all! And trust me you will be satisfied and filled. I defiantly will be coming back to try their other meat choice that they have! Also if you like smoked salmon, they do sell small pieces that you can buy to take home too! So make sure to come and try Larry's Smokehouse and support their small business!

Some of my brisket dinner I took home. It came with twice as much meat that's shown on the plate.

Just like everyone says, the place is not the easiest to find and the sauce can be too sweet for some... I've had the 1/2 brisket sandwich twice so far and I think it's pretty darn good! The french bread they use is toasted so it's got a tiny little crunch, but still nice and soft in the middle...not like a banh mi that's old and dried out and then baked, so that every bite is like chewing on 200 grit sandpaper. The sandwich has an ok amount of meat, which may or may not be microwaved...although if it was, I think it's still fine. The brisket has been very moist both times, but could use a little more smoke flavor. The sauce is sweet, kind of like a berry jam type of sweet, and is good, just not the type of sauce you'd want on, or in, all of your food (if you were to get more than just a sandwich). All and all, I'd say Larry's is good and definitely worth eating, but they should really think about infusing a little more smoke flavor, going easier on the sauce that's spread on your sandwich (since it is very sweet), and the two ladies should maybe be a tiny bit more friendly.

Brisket sandwich, doritos, coleslaw, their house sauce.

Terrible food and service. The meat is dry and doesn't even appear smoked. An unpleasant experience all around.

My go-to for flavorful smoked meats in Snohomish. Love the brisket by the pound, and the smoked salmon is delicious.

It was very easy to place an order online. When we arrived,…read morethey were putting the finishing touches on our order. Service was friendly and engaging. We ordered the 4 Meats and 4 Sides Meal for 4 to 6 plus 2lbs of Pork Ribs. See our pictures to see what we picked up. We liked how the items were separated with foil. Hot items were hot and cold items were cold, as expected. We were asked if we needed plastic ware or plates, which we did not. They still put in plenty of napkins and some wet wipes. The food? Pork Spare Ribs - 5 - Nice smokey flavor and very tender. Really didn't need sauce but we had plenty of mild and spicy on hand. Links - 5 - Good textures and excellent flavors. They gave us both flavors because they had run out of the one we ordered. Yay for us! Chicken Thighs - 5 - Thick, meaty, juicy thighs. Tri-tip - 5 - Very tender. Beef Brisket - 4 - I forgot to ask for "Juicy" and some of our slices were on the drier side. That's my bad. Smashed Potato Salad - 5 - Excellent! Cole Slaw - 5 - As expected. Cowboy Caviar - 5 - I don't remember trying this before so I don't know how it compares to that of others, but we liked it just fine. Would we order it again? Maybe but I missed having Mac & Cheese too. Collards - 4 - Tender but a tad salty on the back end for me. We had plenty of leftovers after dinner, so we boiled some asparagus, toasted some Hawaiian Rolls, fried some eggs, air fried some hash browns and reheated some of the meats for breakfast. Mmmm!
