    brisket, fatty end
    Rita W.

so close to me, yet, it's been more than "a while" since my one and only visit to Gabriel's Fire. i'll be returning more often. we 3 were the 1st to arrive at 11:30 a.m. our server was friendly. looks like there was 1 person in the kitchen. 2 ordered ordered the generously piled high and smokey (pulled) pork sandwich. one had the beans which were declared deliciously smokey. the other had the gumbo - more on that later i had the brisket plate with mac & cheese, potato salad, and extra side of gumbo. i asked for the fatty end of the brisket. received 6 generous moist, tender, and smokey slices that passed the pull test. the mac & cheese: creamy. the potato salad: "dry" but i didn't miss the super-wet-mayo-ey dressing. tasty with a touch of pickle dill flavor. i liked it. the gumbo: it was good but not the flavors i was used to. maybe more bell peppers than usual? maybe lacked okra and/or file gumbo? KC Original BBQ sauce: delicious! will buy some to bring home. next visit will be the ribs and more side dishes.

We've been here many times since my first review in 2021. This most recent time we got a chicken sandwich with side of fries and a brisket sandwich with side of fries. Total was $31 & change. Overall still tasty, but my partner isn't too partial to the bun. 4.5 stars.

Let's just say my favorite part of Gabriel's Fire was the sauce. And the fries. Everything else was quite lackluster. I want to like this place, and the service was fantastic, but the food was very subpar at best. I came here on a Friday night and it was quite empty. But I don't want to mark that as a red flag - this is a local joint and had a really cool bar vibe. Seattle pride with sports posters plastered everywhere, that's pretty cool. I ordered the brisket plate with fries, and all plates come with Mac n cheese. The brisket.. was ok. It's tender but super dry. I had to drench the meat with the sauce (which was great and so flavorful). The fat barely held up and it was just a meh to me. The Mac n cheese was so poor. Lacked flavor and it was dry as well. I love it when the cheese is piping hot and melty and gooey - this seemed like it came from a Kraft box. Best part was the fries. Solid fries, 5/5. Maybe I'm being generous because everything else was so lackluster and mediocre, but I did like the fries. This doesn't even hold a flame to other BBQ areas in Seattle, yet alone the country (I'm looking at you, Texas). Man, I want to like this place, but if I'm in a BBQ mood, this ain't the place for me.

Angry Mario out here, If Ya'll want trash-tir BBQ come on down. Customer service is definitely not the welcoming ( guy had massive attitude) maybe racist bartender specifically tall white guy with hat back wards anyways Food is definitely school quality, I ask the worker here "what's good" Claims everything is good. Welp, he lied. Mac & Cheese taste like Krafts Mac without any seasoning. Chicken sandwich, with all due and respect Gas station food has better flavor. Please do yourself a favor and bop yourself in the mouth for AT LEAST you could taste something. Weak BBQ

The food was delicious. My friend from Texas came and said their brisket was better than Texas brisket. Service was fast, and the room is clean with music playing quietly in the background.

Wow. The brisket was amazing. Literally melted like butter and broke apart with a touch. Not dry at all extremely flavorful. Great seasonings. I ordered for take out got the slaw. Mac and cheese and chili cheese fries. Everything was amazing serving size was great definitely filling. I had some Hawaiian rolls at home to make a sandwich out of it. Amazing. I definitely recommend. Service was quick and got my order within a few minutes. The place looks nice sports bar. I wonder if they show ufc fights there. I'll ask next time I order. Great location convenient but parking lot is kinda small so take that in consideration.

The brisket was tender and flavorful. Loved the hot sauce. The best sides we tried were the slaw and the greens. Wow, those greens had tremendous and complex flavor. Best I've ever had. The mac and cheese had good cheese flavor, but tasted like made only stovetop. Would benefit from some time in the oven. The beans were good, but not special. The gumbo was outstanding. It was rich and very satisfying. The fries were also very good. We ordered about 6:00 on this Saturday evening, and they were already out of ribs. We were advised it would be an hour before more ribs were available. The service was odd. Very antagonistic over the phone and very pleasant in person. I wish I could tell you how the ribs were!

They have a sandwich with my name! Immediate 5 stars ;D

We were there a bit later, just before 8 p.m. on a Monday, and easily got a table right away. I didn't want too much food - at my age I've learned my eyes and stomach are rarely on the same page - but I definitely wanted some brisket...as an amateur smoker I appreciate how much work goes into beef brisket so always try it when I see it on a menu. So I went with the Happy Hour Caesar Salad & Brisket. For $8.50 it was a great value. The fat of the brisket was rendered PERFECTLY. My wife wanted the baked potato but allegedly someone came earlier and bought TWELVE and cleaned them out. Disappointing! But the two street tacos she got off the Happy Hour menu were tasty. My teenager decided to lean in and get the brisket entree. Fries and Mac & cheese as the sides with cornbread. He added some of his brisket to the Mac & cheese and loved it. Fries were crispy (double fried? Or battered?) but didn't get finished - too much food! I had a couple of beers that were good. The tap listing was available on a screen. Service was well-above average. Very friendly. I can imagine this place getting busy during peak hours but it's small enough that they likely can keep up. I doubt we'll be back. We are from out of town and while we come to the Seattle area often I like to try new places whenever possible. But we were very happy with how tonight went. 4.5/5.0 but it won't let me do a halfstar. Give it a try. This isn't a chain restaurant! We were happy to support this one.

Parking lot was packed- but there was one high-top table when we walked in. We grabbed it. Loud bar/pub atmosphere- I'm sure sporting events are fun here. Big bar on one side and 'family' seating on the other with warnings for the under 21's to not cross the border. I got the half rack of ribs and my partner got the pulled chicken sandwich. Also beers. The food arrived fast: nice thing about bbq is that it has to be already prepared so they just have to plate it. The half rack was huge. 6 big ribs, Cesar salad and fries were my sides. So much food. Glad I got the salad. I didn't try the pulled chicken but she got the Mac and cheese as a side and that was really good. Haven't had decent restaurant Mac and cheese in a while. I'd like to know what they make in-house here. The fries felt bought-in...the salad was...good but...uniform? Like maybe out of a bag? I'm prepared to be wrong about that. The barbecue was good. The ' spicy' sauce was sweet and not vey spicy and the 'sweet' sauce was kind of boring: bbq sauces need work. Add a mustard based sauce? All in all we loved it and will definitely go back. $75 all in with tip for two people.

The staff was excellent super friendly, helpful, and quick with taking orders, clearing dishes, and swapping out the grill without us ever having to ask. For just $5 more, the premium menu is 100% worth it especially for the wagyu. Everything we tried was delicious, but our favorites were the wagyu cubes and the lollipop lamb chops. On top of that, they offer a salad bar, fruit/dessert, and a sauce station to round out the meal. The atmosphere was another highlight: modern, clean, and comfortable, which made the experience even better. The only downside is the time limit, but honestly, 90 minutes was plenty for us to enjoy everything. Overall, we loved our visit and will definitely be coming back!

One day, lightning struck a tree, causing a massive forest fire that killed many animals. Our ancestors then discovered that cooked meat tasted much better than raw meat. This is why roast meat has always been regarded as an important part of the human diet. Today I gathered with friends and chose this barbecue restaurant. It's located north of Redmond, with a prominent sign and plenty of parking. Ambiance: The decor is creative, but it feels quite contradictory. Barbecue is inherently a very "Jianghu" (lively, rough-and-tumble) kind of thing, yet the restaurant leans toward an artistic, literary style. When I used to run my own restaurant, I followed a principle: avoid anything unrelated to the core dining experience. Seeing many books on the shelves here, I understand they're trying to bridge Jianghu and artistry -- but it clearly feels out of place. That said, the place is very clean, and the stickers/decorations are festive. Service: My high rating for this restaurant is largely based on the service. After we sat down, we were given free appetizers -- braised peanuts, which tasted great. The staff training is very professional, whether it's taking orders, making recommendations, attending to us during the meal, or checking on tables and refilling water. All excellent. Taste: Jianghu-style cuisine is characterized by boldness, satisfaction, and not sweating the small details. We ordered spicy hot pot (Malatang), spicy hot pot skewers, grilled beef, lamb, chicken gizzards, oysters, and many other items. First, the Malatang and spicy skewers tasted almost identical, so it felt like eating the same thing. The grilled skewers were just average -- neither good nor bad. The oysters were very tasty. However, the shrimp in the spicy skewers were very unfresh, which was disappointing. "By the way, the prices at 'Friendship Skewers' are anything but friendly -- I think it's quite overpriced overall."

While I haven't been to the original in Korea, the LA spots are my go-to favorites, so I'm comparing this new Lynnwood location to that experience. The interior here is great--open, inviting, and perfect for first-timers. The service was excellent, and like the LA locations, they handle the grilling for you (a premium touch you don't always find at local KBBQ spots). The menu and pricing are very similar to what you'd expect from the brand. I did notice a slight dip in food quality compared to LA. The meat there tends to be leaner, the seasoning is a bit more refined, and they are much more proactive about swapping out the grill plate between different cuts of meat. That said, chain standards are usually highest in LA, so that's a tough comparison. Overall, it's still a fantastic experience. If you're a first-timer or comparing it to other options in the Lynnwood area, I definitely recommend giving Baekjeong a try!

They had plenty of seating and we were able to fit our group of 6 into a booth. While they only have one grill per table, when the fire is turned on, it is really high so things cook so quickly! They have a couple of different tiers of options, but my family loves galbi so we opted for the premium tier ($45). The mid tier (I believe $35) you can go serve yourself all of the meat, but the premium meats are brought out. We tried galbi, ribeye and scallops from the premium menu, which were all tasty (the galbi pieces were large and marinated well, ribeye was nice and red, and scallops while small, came in the shell). Most of the sides and meats are self service which is also nice. They have many different side dishes (including cheese corn!), different pickled veggies, garlic, lettuce, sauces, and the meats and some seafood like shrimp and squid were self serve including a nice cold meat refrigerator for the thin slices such as brisket and belly. They even have a hot bar that I didn't try with various fried foods. They also had oranges, and my favorite - a self serve soft serve ice cream station! Yum! There were also yogurt drinks at the end. It is a lovely place that I think it is mom and pop - we had a sweet lady as our server and she was nothing but smiles. Things can get busy so it took some time for our premium meats to come out but no worries as there were plenty of self serve things to eat while we were waiting.
