Had a check engine light come on after having our Volvo's coolant exchanged at a different shop, and something just didn't feel right when they wanted to do further diagnosis when the OBD2 scan showed coolant issues. The engine wasn't overheating and the coolant level was normal. Was in town out of state and called Larsen's for advice based on their reviews and location. Spoke to Sebastian and he gave me several scenarios and options on ways to proceed, putting me significantly at ease. I stumbled upon them by buying a discount card that are sold door to door thinking, "Okay, I'll buy one for the oil changes, get my money's worth and be done." Well, my experience was so good that when my brakes needed replacing I didn't hesitate to take my car to them. I later got a complete tune up before my move across the country. Great price and exceptional service. I have since moved to Florida, but I still call every now and then to ask for advice and service questions that I run into. After today, i won't take my car anywhere else. Long story short, because i tend to ramble, they sent out a guy to help jump my car since i lived close to their shop, and when that didn't work they put a tow rope on it and hauled it so i wouldn't have to pay a tow company. They fit me into their super busy schedule, had a part delivered from slc, and got it installed and fixed for me by the close of the day so i wouldn't have to pay for a rental car. After i paid my bill i asked the receptionist who the awesome mechanic was who had been helping me all day, and she told me his name was Terry, the OWNER of the shop. I have come here three times so far: the first time was for a broken right front CV axle. The second time was for a broken left front CV axle (also, a rock had flown into my AC condenser while on I-15, severely damaging it). Although every car is different, my CV axles were ~$273 each and the condenser was $441 (insurance paid for the condenser). The third time was to fix the plastic protector under my front fender. Not only are their prices excellent, but they are the most professional, friendly, honest, and caring mechanics I have ever encountered. As long as I am within a 50-mile radius of Larsen's, I plan to always use them as my mechanic. I highly, highly recommend coming here to get a car fixed. read more

I had a great experience with these guys. I procrastinated renewing my registration, which required safety and emissions tests, until a few days before the due date. I found a Valpak coupon for them online that had them quite cheaper than any other place in the area. When I called them up they were packed full of appointments but moved things around a bit so that they could take care of me before my registration expired. We recently moved back to UT county from Davis county. It's awesome having a good mechanic you can trust--which is what we had in Davis County. Our old mechanic from UT County no longer has a shop so we needed to find another good mechanic. Searching reviews online we found Larsen's and they live up to the reviews! Equally as good as our Davis County mechanic (Jer's Auto for those up there), we've found "our mechanic" in UT County! We've taken all our vehicles to them for safety, emissions (great coupon on valpak), registrations and repairs. They are very fast, honest and upfront and don't charge you for extra "stuff" you don't need. They even tell you what you can get away with and what is absolutely necessary--then they work hard to get you the best deal possible. Friendly staff, comfortable, home-like lobby and great work.
