I had to fix my timing belt which is expensive as is since it requires my engine to be taken apart. They said they would call me if anything else needed to be fixed. $1300 + later they claimed they called me to let me know my heat sensor needed to be fixed. Except, they never called me and just put my engine back together so now a cheap job just turned into another expensive job. Im disappointed that happened and won't be coming back. read more

Transmission gave out at the Provo Airport and got it towed here. Michelle at the front desk is great and technician was able to diagnose/explain what went wrong. My car was in the shop for a week, no one knew when it would be done. Had to commute from North Salt Lake where I live. Not transparent with the price. AC was having issues and I took my car in and felt like they did a fantastic job! I thought it was going to be a pleasant experience after the first phone call and it was! It was unfortunately expensive but compared to what others quoted me they were cheaper and very fast! They communicated with me the whole process so I never felt blindsided and they didn't try to upsell me on anything either! I really recommend Provo car doctors! I drive a Mercedes' Van, that is difficult and costly to diagnose and repair. They pin pointed the problem, got me right in, fixed the vehicle, and added (at no cost to me) a two year warranty to guarantee their work! Now who does that?? came here for a diag on a couple minor problems that i wanted to get fixed all at once. refused to give an itemized list with breakdown of pricing. used the diag they gave me and took it to a mobile mechanic who searched for the exact parts and is doing it for $425 parts and labor. these guys told me it was going to cost over 2.3k to fix everything and do random cleaning. also the mobile mechanic im getting the work done by said hes heard nothing but horrible things and that this place scams people. i wouldn't recommend this place at all, seems like they are running low on funds and resort to charging outrageous prices and scamming people. nice diag for $150, but dont appreciate trying to charge me $2300 when the first person i call does it for $425 read more

I hate to be writing this, as the people are polite and kind, but they WILL scam you if you are from out of state. My Fiancé and I were traveling from out of state and started having overheating issues while at idle. Provo Car Doctors diagnosed the issue as a blown head gasket. I'm not a professional mechanic, but I do know my way around a vehicle, and I do know what it's like to have blown a head gasket (lots of steam, radiator fluid, and oil everywhere), which absolutely did not happen, and according to the guys over at Point-S, should never have been on the radar to a good mechanic based on the symptoms descThe problem was diagnosed as a faulty water pump and a bad radiator cap by Point-S, this was also what i had suggested may be the issue originally to the mechanic, but instead of checking that, they questioned whether or not I knew for sure if that was the problem. Thankfully, i didn't pay them the $2500 they wanted for this, and instead asked that they do a seal of my head gasket, and replace my thermostat. The thermostat pictured is the one that was removed from my car by the guys at Point-S. Anyone with eyes can clearly see that it is not a new one. So after paying Provo Car Doctors $390 to do literally nothing to my car but pour sealant into my radiator, which did nothing to fix my car, I finally did get the problem corrected properly by Point-S and made it safely back to California without any overheating. It really kills me that this happened, especially considering how polite they seemed, and I'm not even sure the woman working the front desk knew that we were being taken for a ride, but it's extremely important that everyone knows that this can happen to you if you go here and especially if they aren't familiar with the area. read more

They put the wrong size part in my car and then I had to bring my car back for them to fix it. Which took another 3 weeks. I've been coming to these guys for a couple of years.I first started when a salesman was selling discount oil change cards for their location. I had some minor repairs done to the car as well and they were always reasonably priced. Since then, I've had major repairs on my cars (alternator, radiator, tranny) and some medium repairs (windshield wiper pumps, alignment issues, brake issues, etc.) and every time they've been very competitively priced. IN fact, one one occasion, they called to tell me the repair I thought I needed (having been told that by another mechanic) didn't need to be done, or didn't need to be as extreme as originally thought. I recommended by sister in law and mother in law to them and they also only go to the Car Doctors. My sister in law said that she likes to go because often, she's gone to other mechanics and felt like she's been talked down to because she's a woman and won't understand. She felt like they always are civil and explain repairs to her, giving options for repairs. Highly recommend them. read more

I took my car in for a minor fix and it took them 5 days to even look at it. They had me keep my car there the whole time and it was very inconvenient to not have it. I called multiple times a day and each time they reassured me that the car was almost ready. The worst part was over the phone I was told that it would cost around $100 but when I went to pick it up it cost over $400. Later I learned that the fix really should have only cost $50.
