I had implants for years and was always happy with them but one started leaking saline. I went to Dr. Maloney as I felt they might need replacement. He did say he could replace them and when his assistant asked if he was going to do a lift (mastopexy)he said no. We went forward with the augmentation replacement and I regret doing it --it was 'after' the surgery he told me I would've been fine without replacement. I was furious I had spent thousands of dollars only to be told I really didn't have to. But that's not the end of it. The surgery he performed is pitiful and botched. The replacements nearly hang to my waist. I can't even wear the tops that I have. He should have never! performed this surgery without a lift or never performed it at all. Communication from front desk, the office manager and Dr. Rao himself is exceptional! My results are incredible! I never could have imagined my "mommy make-over" looking this GOOD! Even with a history of breastfeeding two kids, my breasts are perky and the perfect size! Incisions are barely visible on my breasts and around the nipple. My abdominal scar is more noticeable but can be completely hidden beneath underwear or a swimsuit. I will continue to use scar tape to help the color fade over time. I went from a size 14 in jeans to a size 8. My belly went from fupa to flat and the 360 lipo helped create perfect curves! As expected, the first week involved lots of resting and small movements (with the help of my cheese pillow and a walker). Pain was manageable with RX pain meds in the beginning and then strictly Tylenol through week 4. Post-surgery, Dr. Rao would call and check in with my husband and I to be sure things were on track and I was recovering well. I am entering week 14 and my healing process continues to be going great! I had one small tear at the "T" point beneath my right breast. Dr. Rao monitored the area closely, coached me in how to change the dressing, answered all my questions and assured me it would close without needing additional sutures. All of this was true, the tear closed weeks ago, there was never any pain associated with it and there is zero additional scarring in the area. Aside from being a very common place for a tear due to pressure, I have small children and am very active. I think this may have played a role in creating the tear. Audrey and Leslie at the front were very nice and welcoming and throughout the entire process did a great job following up and reminding me of appointments. Meeting with Dr. Nelson we talked about what I wanted, and he took the time to explain to me my options and what he recommended. Very easy to talk and he tells you like it is which is important when it comes to setting realistic expectations. The day of the surgery I was nervous because this was going to be a procedure where I was awake the entire time instead of being put under like I was the first time around. When I got to the office Cristina and Dr. Nelson did a great job of helping to settle my nerves and the surgery itself ended up being a breeze. Now I waited 6 months to write this review because I wanted to give me body time to heal so I could write an unbiased review. All I can say is THANK YOU to Dr. Nelson for a stellar job.
