I met the first two and they were nice enough, but the moment I walked through the door of Dr. Nelson's office I knew this was the place for me. Audrey and Leslie at the front were very nice and welcoming and throughout the entire process did a great job following up and reminding me of appointments. Meeting with Dr. Nelson we talked about what I wanted, and he took the time to explain to me my options and what he recommended. Very easy to talk and he tells you like it is which is important when it comes to setting realistic expectations. As I was about to get dressed, in walked an older woman, a physician if I remember correctly, who glanced down at my arm and said, "Let's take a picture of that and check in again at the next appointment (in one year)". A photo was taken, and I dressed and left. No one asked me to schedule another follow-up appointment and I did not. I will explain. As I told Ms. Myers, my mother, father and brother all have melanoma. I've had basal cell and squamous cell carcinomas. Even so, I would guess that Ms. Myers did not spend more than 1-3 minutes on my exam. There was no exam of my scalp, in-between my toes, buttocks, genitals, mouth, and what she did examine was looked at with such speed that I knew I was going to have to go to another dermatologist for a thorough check up. I immediately made an appointment with Dyson Dermatology (2/10/22). The PA in charge found 3 precancerous sites on my face and treated them with nitrous oxide. She also found a suspicious 'freckle' (the same one your PA took a photo of) and said, "Oh, we need a biopsy of that." Sure enough, the biopsy came back as a malignant melanoma. I am seeking treatment at the Mayo Clinic. Mayo doctors have requested the names of all the providers that examined my skin in the last months. I gave them your name and number. If for some reason you are contacted by the Mayo Clinic this would likely be the reason. I was terribly disappointed by cursory examination I received by your PA. Even the physician who suspected a potential problem did not request a biopsy or even indicate that I needed a follow up appointment. Sadly, it is only because I'm a highly educated professional that I understand that the medical system fails far too many patients far too often; that only those who are capable and willing to advocate on their own behalf, to make calls and follow up, get the medical care (if they are lucky) they need and deserve. I would imagine that a little more care and attention to your patients, with less attention to your bottom line, would make your clients (and even you, I suspect) much happier and healthier.

Understandably a very female centric place. However, how do they accommodate the occasional…read moremetrosexual that may stop in? Are they able to shift gears or is everyone Carrie Bradshaw? And that is exactly the feeling that you get when you go in there. The front desk are armed with their Apple computers and hidden behind the screens. They are not very sensitive to esoteric needs. What do i mean? In an effort to coordinate this i was in contact via text. I was trying to figure out who it was that i was conversing with. The person began using abbreviations like "FD" where i had to clarify what she meant; and it was "Front Desk". The place is a bit hard to find and I had to call for coordinates and was rifled off "commands" as to how to get there which was memorized in the presenters mind but not really intuitve. Like she just wanted to "get it out of her system" without regard for whether someone would be able to understand. These are signs to me of what is in store. So when I got there i was given a computer to fill out an inordinate amount of forms. No sooner did i get the ipad that the battery went out. But who wants to fill out all this information on an ipad where there is not a desk; you are just kind of struggling with the keys as you sit in a waiting room chair. Like it doesn't lend itself to use for this purpose because there is not support for the ipad to stay on your lap. If its on your lap you can't really use the keyboard do you see what i mean? Then I went into the bathroom and saw the heaping trash. These are things that people see; we don't care how dainty Carrie says that she is. Then they put me in a treatment room with a towel or fur comforter that looked dirty. The table wasn't adjusted at all and i sat and sat and sat and sat until i walked out. That was my experience. For me its not a place for guys. But again dare i say that these actressess might want to consider some of what i say. But they won't; I can see that as clear as day. They are set in their ways. It is his fault you see. They will falter and falter to the point of ad nauseum. As long as the facade of the Apple computers at the front desk are fired up and ready to go; that is all that matters. The show must go on. Thats all.

When we called to find out why they would not honor the proper price, they simply made terrible excuses, which is inexcusable. Any service person who has given us quotes has always stood by their price!!!! Additionally, we will still be charged for pathology and they do not know what that will be at all.
