One of the best asada burrito supremes in the valley. I've had a lot of taco trucks/mexican restaurants, however this one is in my top 5.

I've had this place booked marked for a long while I remember a co worker mentioning how good this place was. Hadn't had the opportunity since they close pretty early most days. Finally took the time to visit. Arrived around noon the place is big but limited seating. The lady at the front was both taking orders and cooking. She was kind and told us to take our time. There were people already waiting for their orders. My husband and I ordered a cheese enchilada plate for my daughter, I ordered a breakfast burrito (one meat) chili verde and eggs, originally asked for an asada combo plate but she must have not heard me and gave me an asada taco. My husband ordered an asada torta. We had everything to go. Took about 10mins to get our order. This place is an 8min drive from home. Everything was still hot and packed neatly with utensils and condiments. Everything was really good! Large portions, they are generous with the meat and it's nice to see a taco not costing the normal $3 for just one. The meat was seasoned well, the breakfast burrito was so good and so filling. Really great place to eat and you really get the best bang for your buck. They have so many specials and it's usually to see these prices nowadays. So glad this place is close to home I would love to try their sopes and menudo one of these days. read more

Pretty popular place because I was place on hold and gentleman never return and was "accidentally" hung up and when I tried to called back it was busy. After about an hour I finally got through. It was pretty frustrating but it is what it is. This was on a Saturday, and was told order would be ready in about 30 minutes but I was already on my way from Fresno and had to wait another 15 mins. Definitely not recommended to come on a weekend. read more

I was craving some Mexican food when I woke up on a Saturday morning; I found Las Cabanas Taqueria located in Sanger, CA. You can smell the strong urine stench in the parking lot when you're walking to the restaurant. This is truly a hole-in-the-wall establishment with decent prices, but their food did not satisfy my Mexican food cravings and made my wallet lighter. This is what I ordered for my disappointing brunch that day. 2/5 Breakfast burritos with 2 meats The tortilla itself was so chewy, and even though it was a decent-sized burrito, I had much better even at Arsenio's breakfast burritos. 1/5 Carne asada & chicken burrito Both of these burritos were decent-sized and decently priced, but they were so bland and terrible that I took 2 to 3 bites of each burrito and threw it away. I'm not sure if their tortilla was homemade or not, but it was also chewy. 5/5 Red Salsa The star of the show was their red salsa; it has a medium to almost hot heat and smoky chipotle flavor. I bought the 32 OZ, and it was worth every penny. It was so good I tried eating it with another competitor's burrito, and it elevated the flavor to new heights. Service: 3/5 The amigas were friendly but lacked attention to detail. Good thing I checked my bag before I took off because they forgot my 32 oz salsa that I purchased from them. I'd really had hopes for some good-tasting Mexican food according to Yelp's high reviews, but it failed me. It's a good thing that they maintained their own clientele throughout the years, and it's still up and running. this out of the way small Mexican restaurant located in Sanger on Jensen Ave over by Grocery outlet store is a great site to go and eat. first off the prices are perfect for a budget friendly family the food is authentic and full of great flavor a few choices I recommend the Menudo is good, tacos of your choice meats is great but their best item in any form is the barbacoa! its a small site but decent the service is good the people are nice and friendly. We ordered for a party 40. And picked up our order. Our guest keap saying how delicious the food was. And it was. The price was very reasonable per person compared to other places. But it's the food that wins you over. So delicious. Green and red salsa's were perfectly balanced with spiciness. Everything seasoned to perfection. We would definitely order here again. Found Las Cabanas thanks to Yelp. They are in the shopping center where the biggest store is the defunct 99 cents store. But I digress.... GREAT food in Sanger. Small storefront, seating for 10 people or so. Most of the regulars seem to pick up food to go. Carne Asada Burrito, very good. Tortilla seemed like homemade. A great Burrito. We live in Texas, so we are more than used to Mexican food. We were on our way to Yosemite, and stopped here for lunch. I love menudo so when they told me they had it that Sunday, I went for it. Very different than what I'm used to in Texas, where they put only pork tripe in it. This one was more cow meat and I loved it! Service was a bit slow, but they were super busy and ti looked like it was run by this one family. My husband loved his barbacoa tacos too, so all in all, a win! read more

I'm all for supporting local as it's mostly what I try to do. I normally go to another meat market that also sells food in sanger. There under construction so I came here instead. Paid and was told to wait 20 minutes no receipt given. When I went to pick my food up she wanted to charge me again. The burritos were sloopy. Hardly any meat, bulky rice and a corner of onions and cilantro. My husband got the Asada hardly any meat and nothing but rice. Was given sloopy food. The Barbacoa wasn't marinated in flavor either and it wasn't good. I'd rather have Chipotle. Never coming here again. read more

Love the adobada here! I've only picked up burritos to go. There's really not a lot of Mexican food places that offer adobada, so it's a treat that they do it here. I've had their barbocoa burrito before too and though the meat is super tender and moist, the flavor isn't as tasty as the adobada. This is a hole in the wall, local business kind of place. Don't expect to be blown away with any fancy decor here. They have a few tables to dine in, but the majority of food orders are to go. Something they do differently than most Mexican food places is they serve a side of refried beans with their chips instead of the traditional salsa. I've never personally had it, I've just seen other patrons with it on their tables. Prices are reasonable and the burritos are a good size and very filling! read more
