Fried shrimp burrito. It was really good.

Just the way i remember came here 4 years ago i thought it closed down after covid came to see and it was still open. Food is really good. Service was fast probably cause we went for lunch around noon and there was just another table of people and us. Definitely a place to try if never been.

Delicious food, our server was very nice, and the music was great too! We can't wait to come back.

This place has Mexican food and sushi. We came to celebrate our friend Blanca's Birthday! It was on Thursday and they had karaoke but it was more like a live singer. There was not much of asking who wanted to sing. The singer was very good and she was playing very nice music. We wanted to sing a song but there was no chance :D The sushi was prey good. I ordered the Chingon sushi, the birthday girl had the 3 Quesos, my daughter got the queso birrias, my other friend got the birria tacos, my other friend got shrimp tacos and my other friend got the cheviche tostada. Everyone love their food except my daughter. She said it was missing something or maybe it was old meat. The ceviche tostada was very generous portion. My friend mentions it was very tasty. The shrimp tacos were good my friend said. The birria tacos were good, I wonder why my daughter didn't like her queso birrias if my friend didn't say anything. I only can say that si ce we have been trying food left and right my daughter has become an expert of the queso birrias. Then we order some micheladas. They had too much Maggi sauce. They were good but the sauce was a little overpowering. They served them in big cups. We will comeback another day to listen to the girl sing and enjoy sushi. She is a good singer

Veggie soup "on the menu is Caldo siete mares"

I was craving seafood when I found this place on yelp. I saw the 4 1/2 starts and I drove straight to the restaurant. I ordered a vuelve a la vida and it was good. Except that it was prepared with imitation crab. When you pay more than $25 for a plate you expect the real deal, not imitations. Half way eating the dish I found a 8" long string. The waitress was in front of me and she saw when it pulled it out of the cup. The string was tangled with the octopus. She got it and put it in the trash, no apologies and anything. Even the guy that was next to me said "Maybe it was the fishing line they used to caught it haha". I said to myself, no worries just just let it go and I did. I continued eating and because I was truly craving seafood, I ordered a caldo 7 mares to go. Bad idea and what a surprised when I opened the container at home. Tons of potatoes, bell peppers, and carrots. I found 4 shrimp, 3 oz of fish, 3 small oysters and a tiny crab leg. Nice veggie soup but not what I was expecting. By the way that was another $25 plate. I am giving two starts because one of the waitress was super nice, she checked several times if I was okay and she was great. Unfortunately the food was not as great as the waitress. I paid $65 w/tip for 2 meals and a modelo. Lastly, I saw how the bartender prepared the famous Michelada and it was terrible. The waitress never washed her hands and she grabbed everything with her dirty hands, including the cucumbers, the shrimp, the machine to pay, the lemons and everything in the process. I felt sorry for the person that ordered that beer. Anyways, I hope the owner read this review and do something because that is close to my house I would love to have a nice seafood restaurant in the area. No worries I will pay the price but only if it is good food. Thank you.

    Shrimp Mango Habanero
    William B.

Ordered Shrimp Mango Habanero based on our server's recommendation for spicy food, and Botana de Camarones. Mango Habanero sauce was sweet to taste, but took a second for the heat to kick in. Botana was finger licking. Not like licking fingers at the end of the meal. It was lickiing fingers after each shrimp I ate. Shrimp was perfectly cooked. Salad was well presented. Even the Guacamole we ordered came with a nice plating. Overall plateful serving with good presentation and amazing taste. Fries were very crispy, yet soft inside. Mango Habanero was hot to numb the mouth, and Botana, so buttery with herb flavors.

So I've been on a Mexican sushi kick lately and drove all the way to Sanger to see what this place was about. The rolls were buy one get one half off so we ordered four. We also got a fish taco and a quesadilla for my picky child. The service was amazing. Our server was so sweet and made sure we had everything we needed. We also ordered micheladas. They looked pretty but weren't as good as I had hoped. The rolls were large and tasty. Some were a little too spicy for me because of the sauce they drizzled on top. I'm not sure if I would drive all the way back to Sanger to eat here again. But if I was in the area I think I would stop in.

Ordered ceviche de camarón botana and there was barely shrimp. It seems like they shred the shrimp waaaay to much that it looks like ceviche de pescado. Don't waste your money, you'll be disappointed. It's not hard to make quality ceviche de camarón, they obviously are being stingy with the shrimp and choosing not to. Pictures shown is towards the end of the meal

If you're in Sanger, this is the place to stop by for a michelada. The service is great, they are usually fast. The shrimp cocktail is delicious and it's a good size portion, it comes with tostadas and saltines. The Sushi is good too, its fried and the rolls are pretty big.

Not sure how you mess up a damn taco. Like what? Tacos don't have any onions? They didn't have any green sauce? These are like basic Taco Bell toppings but at least Taco Bell got tomatoes and sour cream. These are sad. I'll just go back to Fresno to get some authentic tacos and give them away. I was in town and thought I'd give it a try. Ugh

    Jessica G.

Very nice people working Great food and the michelada was bomb We will definitely be coming back

I really love their Mexican sushi here. It's so good and fresh.. The drinks are really good. I even ordered a drink by accident with no alcohol and she came over with a shot to offer me. Fish tacos, fried, are exactly like the fish tacos in Mexico like right off the street. Soooooo good.. Staff is really nice. The kids also love it here.

Great seafood and red beers! The service was great too. The portions are pretty big. Music is loud but the atmosphere is casual and family oriented.

This place is bright and open! The food is delicious and the customer service is awesome too. We ordered two rolls of sushi because they were buy one get one 1/2 off which uhhh duhh! We also ordered micheladas and they DID NOT DISAPPOINT. Soooo good & huge

The menu presented extensive and adventurous options that as first timers could have been intimidating but with the help of Donavin our delightful server, we selected the perfect seafood salad for the Mrs. and the curated selection of Maki (delicious sushi "tacos") that together made for the perfect share. Add to that a smooth Japanese beer and a surprisingly moderate overcast that made our dinner on the patio the perfect way to celebrate our first meeting 47 years ago. There were so many other tempting menu options that we'll look forward to sampling on our next for sure visit. Hopefully we will have the pleasure of having Donavin as our server even though our observation is that all the young people serving are helpful and gracious . We chose to commemorate it by having dinner at O-iza and what a wonderful choice it was! As soon as we entered the restaurant, we were immersed into the a serene and beautiful environment characteristic of the Japanese culture. The young ladies that greeted us and then ushered us to the patio were lovely and gracious. It was then that we met Donavin who became our adept curator for the evening. He effortlessly, patiently and with insight matched our curiosities and tastes to the perfect menu choices. We quickly realized that we were barely scratching the surface of the delightful selections that the menu has to offer. That means we need to return and continue our exploration. A full menu of Sushi, noodles, gyoza and rolls made it difficult to choose but eventually we narrowed it down. I always try the Unagi (eel) at any sushi restaurant. It is my barometer for how good everything else will probably be. It was good. I also ordered the Kimono Roll while my wife had Shogun roll. We also tried the Chicken Gyoza. Everything was terrific. Excellent taste and fresh. Next time someone asks me about Fresno I'll say "Fresno! They have good sushi there". Definitely Recommended.

The drinks were made immediately while the food took some time to arrive. Although the drinks came quickly, I wish my coconut rim had been applied more evenly. *Poke Nachos: these had a tropical flair with the chopped mango. The dish was covered in a thick layer of honey wasabi spicy mayo and it definitely cleared my sinuses. However, the tuna was finely chopped and sparse throughout the dish. The wonton chips were also on the greasier side and appeared darkened from unclean oil. *Strawberry Blush: a confusing mix that leaned heavier on the gin and lychee. The strawberry and lemon were practically nonexistent. I did enjoy the coconut rim, although it only lightly covered the glass. *Salmon Roll: despite being on the happy hour menu, I was surprised to see it still nearing $11. However, I enjoyed the quality and the thick cut of salmon. It was a well filled and nicely shaped roll. While the staff seemed pleasant, I was underwhelmed by the overall quality of the dishes and drinks. The cocktail was not weak as others mentioned, but the flavors felt different from those listed on the menu. The happy hour prices were also not very competitive compared with other restaurants. I would have preferred fresher seafood and better portions.

Whether you're craving sushi, teriyaki, or ramen, they really have something for everyone. The sushi and sashimi are incredibly fresh -- honestly some of the freshest fish we've had at any sushi restaurant. It tastes like the chef went out and caught it that morning. The 14-piece sashimi platter with a couple of rolls was more than enough for two people, and everything was excellent quality. The ramen is also fantastic, but fair warning: the bowls are HUGE, so definitely come hungry. Their garlic edamame is absolutely addictive, and we really enjoyed the poke in the seaweed poke salad, though the dish does lean very heavily on the seaweed, so just keep that in mind before ordering. The service was nice, but not very attentive. Regarding the food, we got two Bento Boxes and one Caterpillar Roll. For the price, the portion was good, but the quality and taste weren't the best. The tempura was really thick, and the shrimp was reminiscent of the frozen Costco shrimp tempura. The sashimi was stringy and of poor quality. The rolls we had were falling apart, and the avocado was mushy and not fresh. Everything we had was subpar at most, which is a shame considering how vast the menu is (lol at their AI pictures though). I wouldn't come back nor recommend what we got. When it was time to get some food the next day, my daughter wanted to come here. It was a very hot day so my wife stayed home. It was just the kids and I. Walking in, I was curious to know how much the place changed since Tiger Bite Bowls closed. Not a whole lot really. The interior is very simple. Like a pho restaurant. We sat and looked at the menu. I know Teriyaki bowl is in the name, but I didn't see any bowls on the menu....not that I wanted one. Just an observation. Essentially the options are plates and sushi, so we did 2 of each, and later took a dragon roll home. Coming inside, it was initially welcomed because of how hot it was outside. But as our bodies began to cool down, I started to notice that it was a little warm in the restaurant too. It wasn't hot, but clearly they were concerned with their PG&E bill. I think one of the younger workers who arrived later noticed it too, because after they got there, the room temperature went down to a comfortable level again. As for the food, I was telling my daughter that it's too bad we didn't find Miso Hungry that day we were on the hunt for fried rice. Instead we had that horrible restaurant in Clovis. I think the only thing missing was the show you normally get with a tepanyaki restaurant. Was the good at the level of Hino Oisi or Edo-ya? Not quite, but it was still good. I like my fried rice a bit more crispy. The sweet and spicy sauce was an added bonus. Goes great on the fried rice! On everything really. Be sure to ask for some. As is always the case, one sushi roll isn't enough to fill a person up, so my son and daughter were still a little hungry. This is universal so no knock on Miso. I had my fill with my chicken plate and was able to share. I think the surprise was my son getting the salmon plate. So why only 3 stars? It's a hole in the wall, as evidenced by the fact that the restroom is out back in the alley, a few doors down. Nothing against a restaurant being a hole in the wall, but for $100 for 5 plates, no drinks, the food better be great, not just good. I feel like Miso is this areas version of Teriyaki Don, except Teriyaki Don is cheaper, with more options. I'm sure we will be back. Hopefully by then the menu will have expanded to include Teriyaki bowls or something
