We stumbled upon this place coming in from LA. What great little spot.. We belong to harvest host and we're gonna stay in town, but it was so sketchy. I got nervous. We saw this when we got off the freeway. I called. They were super nice, went and checked out the harvest house spot and said nope! Thank goodness we did. Clean SUPER Super Clean restroom Pool Grounds. Quiet and peaceful. Only downfall was your stickers were almost 7 dollars but that's OK. Everything else was 100% perfect. read more

This is an amazing KOA with lots of little extras to make your stay more comfortable. It appears that they even rake the sites after each visit. We stayed with a KOA patio paw pen in, which was just amazing for our Golden Retrievers. It was so much nicer than the paw pens at any other campsite we've stayed at because we could stay in it too! read more

Where do I start? Well I booked my dates, and not only did I change the arrival date once but twice for a total of 8 days and the KOA staff were more than accommodating! Upon arrival we were welcomed in by Chris and Margarit, their customer service was absolutely AMAZING! Chris set us up on site 20 and let me tell you the view did NOT disappoint! The sites are spacious, full hook ups with fire pits and picnic tables. The property is very clean and well maintained. It was very easy to maneuver thru the property (definitely BIG RIG friendly) They have a K9 bath area we did use, playground area my little one loved after we went for complementary coffee and pastries, and they had the property decorated so cute for the holidays! Before we left I found the cutest gifts that were made by locals to bring back. I grew up south of Las Cruces so the stay being so comfortable made my visit so much better and harder to leave! A very nice Park. The dog park is gravel with an authentic grass patch in center. It was clear of any dog debris which was new in my experience with RV dog parks. Beginner agility equipment too. A dog wash on premises. Small retail shop that was decorated to the nines for Christmas. read more

Poop fountain out front (water treatment plant). Tiny spots, crammed in, with awkward backup for large trailers. Water pressure dropped to literally 0 psi at 7:30am when the park was at capacity. All this for $100/night. No thanks. We had to be here, but we'd never go back. read more

We had a very nice five night stay. It was easy to get to the places that we wanted to go from here. Right off HWY 10. It has nice sights, quite a few pull throughs. I don't back up very well. The RV park sits up on a hill that overlooks Las Cruces. The staff is friendly, and the grounds are kept very clean. We lucked out and got the most favored site, #9, which had an amazing view, and a covered cement patio with a table and chairs, a fire pit and a barbecue. We spent 3 nights, and we wish we had scheduled in a few more nights. While we were there, we used the laundry facility, which is open 24 hours. The laundry room was clean. The machines use quarters, $2.00 to wash, and $.75 to dry (20 minutes). There is a TV which is kept on, a couple of chairs, a sink, an iron and ironing board, and a lovely mural on the wall. Very comfortable. We also used the dog washing station, which we absolutely loved. The raised tub made it easy to wash our pup with the temperature-controlled sprayer. (Bring your own dog shampoo). The dryer had adjustable heat and air flow. We had a nice clean dog in no time at all. The pool area looked great, but unfortunately the weather and our schedule prevented us from taking a swim. Maybe next time. Because we will definitely stay here again when we come back to this area. read more

Our area was great and easy to set up. I laugh after reading one review giving them a low rating for not having grass. I guess no one told them this was the dessert. May 31, 2023 - Las Cruces KOA (Las Cruces, NM) We drove from Tucson to Las Cruces on Wednesday morning. You pick up an extra hour as you cross the Arizona/New Mexico border, We arrived at the Las Cruces KOA RV park right at 2 PM, the typical KOA check in time. We walked straight up to the checkout counter. Lucky for us, no line! The woman at the front counter was very friendly and got us checked in to our site, a beautiful spot overlooking the town of Las Cruces and the beautiful jagged mountains just to be east of town. Site 9 is definitely a premium spot, with the only cabana in the entire park. The cabana has a cement pad and is about 15 x 15' in dimension with open sides and a steel covered roof, great for protection against the sun and rain if that were to occur. Under the cabana are a patio table with four chairs, a gas grill barbecue, wooden bench, and a portable woodburning fire pit. The campsite itself is large, with four separate full hook ups with water, electric, and sewer to accommodate your rig depending on how you pull it in. The park itself is very nice. It has a very modern feel to it with lots of nice brickwork, group sitting areas with fire pits, a nice swimming pool area, fenced in doggy area with grass, children's playground, shower and bathroom facilities, and a dog washing station. We gave our little pooch a good washing while we were here. It is really an A+ facility with Temperature controlled water in a stainless steel raised tub and a temperature controlled flow controlled dryer. There is a small trail that goes around the edge of the park that offers beautiful views of Las Cruces down below. read more

This is a great location. The town is super cute wineries and great restaurants. KOA is off a bit on the highway, but not too far to get to what you want to go try the bathrooms were super clean. The facilities were clean. I love the way we were up on a hill. I absolutely would stay here when traveling cross country. read more

We are all in agreement - The Best KOA we have been to so far. We often travel back and forth from Mississippi to Los Angeles and stay at various KOA sites via the Northern route. This is our first time taking the Southern route and because of this stay would definitely consider this route more often. Location: - Convenient, great views, not far off the I-10 (about 1.3 miles) but yet far enough where you don't feel like you're next to a busy highway. While looking up different locations I was quite concerned about my family's safety but upon immediate arrival felt at peace. Staff: - We arrived at about 6:45 to the location and was pleasantly greeted by Marguerite. Once we were settled in, she went over and beyond her shift to help me get firewood and drive it over to our site. The next morning, she was also the very first face I saw in the shop bright and early and just as helpful and kind. Amenities: - 8 am morning coffee in the rec room with complimentary morning treats! Such a nice, clean room and facility with 2 coffee machines, a nice selection of coffees and teas. - The playground was clean and offered so many options for our 4 year old. He was busy with cornhole, tetherball and playsets. Cleanliness: - Bathrooms are definitely comfortable and clean. And more centrally located than the map perceives it to be. They have abundant space, hooks and shelves to spread out and be comfortable. They also provide shower spray and squeegees for guests to clean up after themselves. - The grounds throughout are well-maintained and first thing in the morning (around 9 ish) the friendly crew is out and about making sure everything is in its place. My only regret was not getting to our site early enough (I was hoping about 4 pm local time) to sit at our site in the chairs with a fire longer to appreciate the fresh air and views. And sorry! I should have taken SOME pictures! Next time. Will definitely make this our only choice when driving through again next time. read more

Great KOA for an overnight stay! The price was fair at about $64 for a 30 RV and one car. The facilities and property was kept very clean and the staff was very courteous. It had all of the necessary RV hookups and allowed pets. It was a good place to hunker down during and after a NM wind/dust storm. I would give this place 2 thumbs up! read more

This place is very well kept. The staff was very friendly, the had a nice playground for the kids and a very well kept pool. This place was cleaner then some famcamps (military bases) we have been to. The store at the campsite had a great selections of things you might need and free coffee and danishes in the morning. read more

Clean campground and looks like it is newer/has been remodeled recently. The bathroom/showers were very nice. Staff was friendly. We only stayed one night and would not personally consider it a destination campground due to the packed-in nature. We were pretty bummed they charged us an extra $5/kid and then on top of that the pool was closed. The kids did enjoy the playground and basketball half court. Campsites are very narrow with small custom sized picnic tables (the bench seat is not much bigger than a 2"x4"). read more

While we only stayed overnight we were impressed with this Journey KOA campground. It was easy check in and easy parking at our spot. The views were nice with location being on a hill. The landscaping was very nice and everything looked to be in great condition. The bathrooms were very clean and showers had lots of hot water. Would recommend to large RVs as pull through spots ample enough for our 45' class A plus full size pickup. Happy travels! read more

WOW! What a great KOA. The entire place was spotless, the front desk was welcoming and the amenities were great. The sites are level with crushed gravel rather than the larger gravel that dogs have a hard time walking on. We had a site with a view and it was great. Some sites had nice patio sets on concrete, their K9 area was nice, did not smell and even had a nice patch of lawn in the middle. Lastly, the pool area is beautiful! GRASS SITES DO NOT HAVE GRASS!!!!!!! Campers beware. I'm giving this two stars only because I was given a refund. I booked a "grass tent site" on the Las Cruces KOA website after looking through photos of the sites and deciding it would be perfect for my boyfriend and our three dogs. We've been camping for 6 nights, this was supposed to be our last two nights before heading home. Our dogs aren't used to the climate here, so we were looking forward to a grass tent site to make it easier on their paws in the intense heat. THESE ARE ***NOT*** GRASS SITES!!! The photos on their website are apparently several years old, yet they still advertise with them and claim they are grass sites. See the photos for yourself. The first two are taken directly from their website and the last two are the photos I took when we arrived. No grass, no shade, barley any room for a tent, and cactus everywhere. I'm grateful they issued a refund, but they seriously need to update their website! Campers beware. read more

Last month I stayed at the Las Cruces KOA on a Saturday night while on a motorcycle ride from CA to TX, then the following Saturday on the way back from TX to CA. I stayed in a cabin on the way out, then on a new, premium tent site on the way back. Wonderful site, very friendly staff, and accommodations. Brand new, real grass, on the tent site. Also had a chance to speak with the owners and hear about their continual plans for upgrading. What a great KOA! Looking forward to staying there again soon. read more

Good location, clean campground, but pricey and they nickel and dime you. This is our second stay at a KOA and unfortunately not our best. When we first arrived I was optimistic as the park was clean and has a nice view of the city. Unfortunately after checking I was left with a bitter taste. The lady at the front desk was not the friendliest I've encountered on our trip across the country. She wasn't mean or anything just not very friendly, which makes sense considering she was checking me into San Quentin. Most of the time was spent explaining all the rules. I had to sign like 3 times agreeing checkout was at 11:00 and they would start charging my card if I wasn't gone by 11:30. The handout they give you has checkout at 12pm, but they scratched that out to 11am, free car wash area NEIN!! $5 They also charged me $5 because check in is at 1pm and I got there at 12pm. Note that the spot she put us in was already empty as was most of the park. All the pull through sites while long are very small. No space around you for anything. If you plan to stay for more than a day or two get one of the back in spots they have some space around them with tables etc. Another issue we encountered was the number of flies outside. It was unbearable to be outside for even 5min as we would be swamped by flies. We did not have this issue anywhere else in NM so it's something specific to this park. Maybe the large water basin right below the campsite. Whatever the reason it made it impossible to enjoy the nice view from the campsite. Which is really the only positive here. There park has a great view and is immaculately maintained (at least the outside, didn't use showers or anything else). However the other issues stop this campsite from being 5 stars. Also power went out for like 1.5 hours on our last night there. Solve the fly issue, treat guests like guests, not inmates and give some more space to the regular non "premium" sites and it could be a 5 star park. read more

We stayed here twice recently. We had a very nice site (#26) with a great view. The sites tend to turn over on a daily basis as opposed to those of us who stayed a few days. Neighbors were always courteous and considerate if not outright friendly most of the time. The park is in excellent shape overall although I can't say I used their facilities. The main building is undergoing renovation and I could see the huge improvements between our two visits. I was able to use my Starlink setup no problem as there are virtually no obstructions. AT&T cellular coverage was a solid 3/4 bars of 5G. Clearly beyond the owner's control was the down side of this place for me: the seemingly constant wind. After several days of relentless wind, it really started to grate on me. Hopefully, it's just a temporary seasonal thing? Anyway, on my scale of RV parks with the Rafter J Bar as the Perfect 10/Five out of Five Stars, this is a solid Four Stars. If we constrain the sample group to only KOAs, this is absolutely a Five Star KOA. This is *easily* the best KOA I've ever stayed at! read more
