Half romantic books that highlights the dark, LGBTQIA+ and then your regular romance novels. I am not allowed to purchase any books at the moment, but I will be back once I am allowed to once again. The other half is a sweets bakery. I got two of the macaroons and an iced coffee. The prices were very reasonable, the coffee very good, and the service was amazing. Their restroom was so cute, I had to take a picture! And they had feminine hygiene products in case there is a need!

Heather has set up this shop so perfectly with such wonderful attention to detail... from the music softly piping through the speakers to the beautiful furnishings. Even the art on the walls is carefully thought out. If that wasn't enough, there is a Little Free Library here! And it is the most beautiful one I've ever seen and there is nothing little about it...there are so many books! If you are a book lover like me you will feel like you've died and gone to heaven. And just when you thought this place couldn't be any cuter you find out they do themes every week and reflect the theme into the delicious goodies. Themes like Bridgerton, Barbie, Harry Styles, Star Wars and Taylor Swift. SO much fun, so stinking adorable and the desserts aren't just gorgeous to look at, they are delicious, too. Bonne Vie is such a local treasure!!!

We also tried the blue monster cookie. It was like a chocolate chip cookie except it didn't have much flavor. I literally thought I'd been poisoned. After looking up ice cream spots with good reviews, my daughter and I found Emmy's. It was not a disappointment at all. The ice cream flavors were limited but very premium. Although they don't make their own ice cream in-house, they get it from the best place I can think of ordering ice cream from - Wisconsin. They have a ton of really premium toppings for a great price too. Most are just $.50, with some of the nut toppings costing a dollar. My daughter tried their orange sorbet with gummy bears and the swear, they were the best gummy bears I've ever tried. I went straight for my go-to, pistachio almond. When I tell you it's stood up to some of the best Italian creamery pistachio I've had in my home town of New Orleans, I'm not exaggerating. Creamy, rich ice cream with an abundance of pistachio. All I needed was one scoop. So amazing and flavorful. Being skeptical after my last botched experience getting a waffle cone at a major franchise dessert spot, I decided to get my ice cream in their signature waffle cone. Oh. My. Goodness. It's like a confection by itself. Delicately buttery, perfectly sweet and super crispy. I hear they even make waffle cone nachos?! Aside from having great dessert, the staff is friendly and they have a nice little sitting area, complete with a soda-shop type bar to sit. It's not a question of if I'll be back, but if I'll be able to pass it up when I'm in the vicinity. Delicious!

They are so good that I've made it a habit to stop in here at least once a week for one. They carry lots of other yummy looking desserts but I can't pull myself away from the lemon bars. Try one!
