Here for a work related dinner. There were about 20 of us here mid week for supper. My food was good. I had a chimichanga, one of my favorites in Mexican cuisine, but not terribly adventurous. I've had better. Some coworkers near me had some interesting dishes ranging from bacon wrapped shrimp, to something delivered in a pig shaped cauldron. Everyone was pretty satisfied. Our waitress was pretty busy with us and others but she did well. The place was spacious enough, and well decorated. Menu was pretty expansive and I would come back to try other dishes. Where do I start? We always make sure no matter how short our trip is back to Sheridan that we make a meal happen at Las Delicias. It's exactly as it is advertised- DELICIOUS. I almost always get a pitcher of margs, guacamole, the shrimp and crab enchiladas but have tried the pork green chile, steak, fajitas and pork chili verde are straight out of Mexico. We come Visit from Arizona so we know our Mexican foods. This is definitely authentic and the service and atmosphere and ambience is also lovely. Come and enjoy!! read more

Great atmosphere! Food is decent. We were looking for a Chilis Restaurant or Chipotle for some Mexican. There isn't anything close to that around this area for over 100 miles. We found this place was good to have a sit-down meal large enough for everybody. There isn't a lot of places to park. The dishes don't wow but they do fill you up. read more

Took my family here after taking the kids out to the movie theater. The waitress was huffing that a 6 year old (who reads the menu by himself, and asks questions) took more than 3 seconds to order. She obviously had other people to be talking to and we were inconveniencing her. She took our food and drink order at the same time, when she brought our drinks she couldn't get away fast enough that she literally threw a pile of straws off her tray onto our table. The restaurant has always been good to us in the past, but this one will stop us from returning for a while. The food was OK. I got the shrimp tacos, the tortillas were completely soggy, and the white shrimp sauce was sweet. Not very good. The place had a weird ambience as well. You could tell our waitress had a chip on her shoulder when she interrupted the 2 ladies bussing table by taking the dirty dishes away from one of them, while she had items for another guest in the other hand. The lady bussing the table stood there in shock for a moment. Definitely felt bad for her, not very good work conditions. Service was ok. My son ordered the Quesadilla Chicken/Cheese appetizer.....it was big. He enjoyed it. I ordered the Birria Tacos. They were good but were not prepared in the traditional fashion. Soggy but tasty. Not served with consommé to dip in. The Michelada was not good... tasted like they had put a heaping tablespoon (yes a Tablespoon) of Old Bay Seasoning in tomato juice then poured a beer on top. If you like drinking Old Bay you'd be all set. We ordered the Queso which was tasty but thin and watery. The salsa had. Nice flavor but was also thin and watery. I would not return. read more

The name of the restaurant is appropriate because everything I've tried, and I've tried a lot, is freshly made and delicious. The way the chef includes shrimp in so many of their dishes is incredible. You've gotta try the house margaritas and chicken la Crema platter. The chips and salsa are complementary and they usually include a side of what' some might call Chili as in Texas beef chili but not quite. Either way it's delicious. The staff are always very nice. However, They could serve a little more quickly but once they get to you, they always get it right. The decor inside is festive Mexicana. Great lunch specials! The price and taste are perfect for lunch. The traditional Mexican gratis basket of chips and salsa was great tasting. The chicken fajita lunch special was only $8! Well we have eaten here before and today we were waiting for a table by the restrooms. I was just looking around and noticed the workers dishing chips into the bowls with their bare hands. I know it's just chips but this is a major food violation. She did it time after time and didn't use at least a bowl. If they are doing this out in the open...what's happening back in the kitchen? Put a glove on or use a scoop....heck even a chip bowl something besides your dirty bare hands. We walked out! read more

The food here is amazing and the prices are very reasonable. The service was slow because the restaurant was very crowded. My only complaint is that with the bar being adjacent to the restaurant area, it was very noisy, making it very difficult to have a conversation at your own table. read more

I've been wanting to come here for awhile but so far it's really disappointing. We waited for 40 mins, plenty of tables were done but just hanging out. I've been that customer so I get it, it's staff responsibility to gently keep the tables moving. Then we finally sat down and the chips were stale and my drink watered down. There are a few elusive experiences in this world. Finding a mirror that distorts towards a flattering image, a great hotel that costs pennies, a friendly smile in a hostile city, and of course a winning lotto ticket. When it comes to food there are two that are ubiquitous and, at the same time, incredibly elusive when it comes to excellent quality. One is Chinese food, of course, and the other is Mexican-American. And although I'm no food critic, I've eaten Mexican American food across the whole of the United States. I cut my proverbial teeth on the wrong side of the tracks of Alamosa, Colorado where you seldom saw a white face darken the doorway. The food there was down home, from the fresh made sopapillas served plain or with honey to the chile verde and the enchiladas. The sauces were excellent and the food fresh. I've eaten the same meal across this country, from California to Texas to Florida and in my home state of Colorado. And where do I find some of the best chili verde? Sheridan, Wyoming at a little restaurant called Las Delicias. My husband ordered the combination plate of two enchiladas (they were sold out of tamales). I ordered the chili verde. And by the way, I make a mean chili verde so I think I know a good one when I taste it. My chile verde at Las Delicias was EXQUISITE. The pork was melt in your mouth tender with nary a touch of fat. The chile verde itself was nuanced with just the right heat, a slight accent of cumin, and the right amount of acid. I wasn't even that hungry and ate the large serving scoop by scoop rolled in flour tortillas with the rice or by the forkful. And the place was slammed! Not an empty table and they were short on help. Nonetheless, the food was hot when it was delivered and the margaritas!!! The margaritas!!!! Thanks to the staff and the chef of this great find. Visiting from Maui, Las Delicias exceeded our expectations. Tortilla soup had lots of chicken & avocado, broth very rich. Hubby had the chicken fajitas, said it was the best he's ever had. It's on a crowded street, but there was parking about 3 blocks away, no biggie as it was a nice day for a walk. I was greeted promptly and when seated I asked for my drink, which came quickly. After review of the menu, I found it to be like many chain type restaurants, meaning the same as many other menus. This being said, I had the combo platter of beef tostada, cheese enchilada and tamale. And the normal beans and rice. Up front was guacamole and chips with salsa. I found the salsa was too high in lime juice for my liking and the salsa was ok. The meal was "ok" nothing like I was hoping for. And that being said, the place was packed the entire time I was here, so obviously not everyone's opinion. The waitress took my order, and when she brought it, refilled my drink. Didn't see her again until I was done. And when they dropped the tickets, it was like they didn't want to "talk" or visit. Meh....not horrible but not great. Rice and beans pretty good (tasted homemade) taco and burrito were bland and the lunch quesadilla was very small. If you want a salad you won't be disappointed my daughter's salad was so big that she only ate half of it. read more

Tried this restaurant again and although the service was timely and friendly, the food left something to be desired. Steak ordered medium-rare was well done, beef burritos were stuffed with refined beans and other cheap fillings in place of a respectable amount of beef. They were regrettably out of a number of items, and the menu is frankly too large to make a timely decision. Finally, we were there on a slower Sunday night and it took 45 minutes to get our food after ordering. I will give it another shot, but I wasn't overly impressed. read more

We pulled into town after 9 hours of driving shortly before closing. I called ahead and was told "No problem. You come in!" We were warmly greeted and quickly seated with fresh chips and salsa. Our waiter brought our beer and had meal suggestions. We ordered the shrimp tacos and the carne asada. Both were very good. The steak was especially flavorful. All the staff were so very gracious and friendly. My only negative is the salsa was a bit bland. One last observation: We were not the only late arrivals.
