A real local small business...ambience is clean, casual, lots of warm wood, and a real local feel. It was pretty empty in here on a recent Tuesday night...just two other tables and my lonesome self at a bar table...despite that service was real slow to start to get a menu and get my order taken, but staff was friendly otherwise. I was curious about "Broasted" Chicken...and it turns out to be really good fried chicken! Broasted Chicken is deep fried twice...once in a high pressure cooker, and another in a traditional deep fryer...the end result is a very moist juicy chicken with a delightful crunchy thick battered skin, delicious! Excellent pizza & broasted chicken restaurant in a historic building in downtown Sheridan . 1 block from the famous Buffalo Bill Cody's Sheridan Inn Hotel. Pizza is above average. It doesn't taste like any of the chains, a good thing. The broasted chicken is amazing but takes like 30 minutes to cook, worth the wait. In the summer, the service can be slow because of the crowds. It is a pretty big restaurant. It's very loud in there if that matters to you. Breadsticks are also stellar. read more

Rolled in Sheridan Wyoming after a long day on the road from Yellowstone. Powder River Pizza was recommended by the tour bus driver Greg and our tour director Eileen. A short walk from our hotel and we were on our way. We were greeted by Bailey and told we could sit where we liked. Bailey provided menus and took our drink order right away. Drinks were served right away and our order taken. Our salad order came first ( perfect!) Grrens were fresh and crisp and the dressing was a nice compliment. Each of our party of 4 ordered personal sized pizzas and each was done to perfection. Crust was delicious, sauce was great, not too sweet or acidic. Cheese and individual toppings were tasty as well. Bailey was attentive to our needs with additional drinks and take out orders. I highly recommend this establishment if you want a friendly, clean and comfortable place for lunch or dinner. My experience started off at roughly 7:00pm on the 27th of January 2026. I entered the restaurant and was "greeted" by... one of the friendliest servers I have ever met. I sat at the bar and he was quick to help me out. I asked what his favorite pizza was. With no hesitation he said the popper. His confidence was to outstanding to not believe him. So, I ordered it.. and holy smokes. It was... delicious. It was perfectly cooked and the service was top notch! I got my bill.. and realized it was appropriately priced for what I ordered. So I gave this guy.. a pretty decent tip and told him to have a good night! People like him... Will have me coming back! I'd honestly give this place five stars out of one. read more

Powder River Pizza was one of the few places open when we went searching for noms last night, so +1 for the hours of operation (apparently the rest of the businesses in Sheridan, Story, Buffalo, etc., all close by 7 pm on a Tuesday night...?). Happy we stopped there, it was a solid choice. The woman who took our order was very accommodating and attentive to our specifications. (Humoring all our mods ) Many pizza places are lazy, using cheese to carry the entire pie. Since Powder River doesn't have vegan cheese, we ordered one of their specials (the Greek) without. It was good! Heavy-handed with the veggies . Aaaaaand their signature crust is friggin' delicious. The service hasn't been good the last year with take out or dining in, but calling in a take out order is the WORST!!! They charge your card over the phone, then when you get there to pick up the order... your order NEVER EXISTED! Every time this has happened, I don't know if its operator, the company, or their computers that are to blame but it's always happens! A cherry to top off this experience.... either you hear employees talking c**p or get food that you didn't order OR they replace missing ingredients with whatever they want that's the same color! But that's only if the servers don't ignore you half way through the meal. A great date night! This was a classic pizza and beer joint; we stopped in after working all day and they were playing both games for the Stanley Cup Playoffs (which immediately won my heart!). But the Sampler pizza where you can get 4 types of their unique pizzas was perfect! I was able to try the pizzas I wanted and didn't have to share with my boyfriend just because i wanted one bite of everything - hehe. The waitress was incredibly helpful and got all of our extra requests correctly and made very helpful suggestions to 2 out of towners! We had enough leftover for 2.5 more meals so it was definitely worth our money! I would recommend this to anyone, single or family that wants quality food for a great price! read more

Had an amazing experience today at PRP! My wife and I took our two year old twins to lunch after a play date looking for a quick bite to eat, and the staff delivered! Our server brought hi-chairs over right away, and was honest about a possible delay for food from the kitchen due to a 20+ person party that had ordered just before us. We got our food in less than 15 minutes, our server checked on us at least 5 times, and brought our check out before we had a chance to ask. We came here for dinner on a Tuesday night and started the whole affair very confused - we came in through what we thought was the main door but there was no greeter, so we just found a table and sat down. Fortunately someone saw us and brought over menus, but that was the last person we saw for a while. We did notice that there is an area where you walk up to the register and order, but couldn't tell if that was for to-go only. Eventually, we had a waiter come over, but all that to say the setup/layout confused out of towners like us! The pizzas we ordered were good, their 14" size could easily feed a family, and the dough was fluffy and delicious. Only other drawback here was that they have 2 separate game areas for the kiddos, so excited kids were running back and forth around us all night asking their parents for quarters to play the games. Happened upon this place on a Friday at lunch time while passing through town. We needed to charge our car to continue our trip. Nice open dining area, mid to low light, clean. Food was good - the jalapeño popper pizza was recommended to me by the waiter. It was yummy and would have hit the spot if I was craving something nice and greasy, but I wish I'd stuck with my gut and ordered the Thai. Husband and kids split a build your own Hawaiian pizza and we had 3-4 slices left over. They were a little understaffed, which we appreciated being explained to us by our server, although several times we noticed he would take orders/fill drinks for the table next to us and not ask how we were doing. My husband had to go find plates himself once pizza was served. We weren't in a rush so it was ok, and it seems like there was a cowgirl/horse convention in town that weekend which may have made the place a little busier than usual for a Friday lunch. Got the Thai chicken salad tonight for carry out. I've had this before and it was very good. The good points are the lettuce is good (I'm picky about that)...but otherwise what made it Thai? It came with a balsamic vinaigrette. It usually came with a Thai peanut sauce. I think cooking 101 suggests that balsamic vinaigrette is not "Thai". Called in a pickup order for dinner, staff was friendly but I did get put on hold as soon as I called with no hello first. Pizza was good but the sauce could use more flavor, they have a great selection of toppings including greens yum. Fried pickles are my fav they had great flavor but way to much batter. Definitely fulfilled our pizza need but there is room for improvement. The cheesecake was definitely a must and so yummy. Would give it another try if we are ever in the area again. read more

PRP makes a pretty good pizza. We were traveling through and needed dinner. We decided to try take out (since they closed in 20 minutes). The website wasn't loading right so we had no idea what pizzas they had to offer. We ended up just ordering pepperoni, sausage and mushroom as our toppings on a thin crust dough. The crust was a little thicker around the edges than we expected or desired but it was good. The pizza was cooked though but a bit on the floppy side. Having said that, the taste was nice. The toppings, sauce and cheeses were flavorful. All said and done, we were glad we tried PRP. The only true negative was not being able to load the webpage to see what they had to offer. read more

Great place for a delicious, custom made pizza! This is a stopover pizza and beer place, as we are heading to DFW.

We are not locals but we are here 1-3 times a year visiting family. We were excited about this place but is has let us down. Prices are always going up and food is declining. This last visit was the worst. Ordered for pickup the prices were $10 above their website said. The response to the discrepancy was "Oh, Sorry" We got pizza and the crust was thick look like it was pushing toppings to the middle. In the picture that is not raised crust there were at least two rolls on that almost solid bread. We also got an eight piece chicken meal. The chicken was good and so were the sides. But for an eight piece meal the sides were single servings. Get the chicken meal at Ridley's or Albertsons tastes the same at half the price. Food is good but not worth the price. read more
