This last time I went however, i went on a Sunday morning and the tortillas I got for my quesabirria and with the birria were very stale. Failed to get a picture because I ate them so fast Ordered 3 Asada Tacos and a Cucumber water. Tortillas were hand made. Texture was a little thin so the tortillas broke when adding salsa and lemon. Asada was amazing. The char on it was perfect! Seasoned amazingly and I can tell it was cooked over a fire grill not a plancha and if I'm wrong it still have the fire grills Smokey taste! I have high regards for the tripas here. So flavorful and very delicious. It was so clean! I ordered the quesabirria and it was good as well but not amazing. I was expecting the cheese to be melty, however it was not melty. The cheese was hard by the time it got to me. The meat and the consume was good though! The interior of this restaurant is also updated and very clean! There's a decent amount of space in here for a few parties to sit. The restaurant is a place you can dine in as well as order to go or even order through the drive through! The service was great. The staff were very kind and helpful and very accommodating to my party. Our party was quite large and it seemed to be a little chaotic but the servers were very patient with us and helpful! This place has multiple locations. So I was in Dinuba for some work and was starving. Sadly I can't say no to tacos. So I stopped by. This location has a convenient drive thru, not sure about the others. The tortillas looked and tasted handmade. The meat looked like it was grilled on a charbroiled but then kept warm in a steamer. It did bring the flavor down a bit. The icing on the cake was the fire tasting rd salsa. It has a huge kick which is something I love and hardly can find anywhere. The service was quick enough maybe a 5 minute way from order to picking it up. Can't really elaborate on the ambiance as I never went inside, but the staff was super friendly and adequate enough for me to think about coming back and try one of there other meats. read more

Well here it goes folks, my official New All Time best Mexican food ever award goes to this Las Espuelas restaurant in what used to be a KFC years ago. It has changed owners or managers a couple times i believe. At least once in the last year or so. I went here before that and the food was good buthit and miss. Definitely new cooks and or recipes now. I consider myself a Mexican food aficionado and have tried probably at least 50 places in CA over the years, and hands down for service and amazing flavor of food across-the-board this place gets top honors. Best rice and beans I've ever had, and consistent. I've been to many great Mexican food places and usually every couple of times the food just will be bad. You know overcooked or dry or whatever. Well ive been here about 10 time over the past 3 months and have yet to have a single item not be the very best or in the top 3 of every single item I've tried. That just doesn't happen, well not in my experience at least. Also the sweetie taking orders is a very pleasant and cheerful no matter how slammed they are. Great employees and even better food. When he got home he bit into the chicken and said it had a nasty taste so I grabbed a piece and noticed that it smelled kind of weird. The kind of smell you get when something is bad and expired. So of course my husband went back to return it. As soon as my husband started explain that he no longer wanted chicken and just wanted his money back she started to give him attitude. She started saying that she couldn't give him his money back but all she can do was give him credit for something else which he didn't want. After bickering with her she eventually give him his money back but also told him he was no longer welcomed to LAS ESPUELAS RESTAURANT. Which is okay because he wasn't planning on going back after this experience. The problem is that there chicken wasn't good and they did not want to take responsibility for it!! So if y'all got some chicken be careful. Costumers can get really sick and LAS ESPUELAS RESTAURANT should worry about what they serve to their costumers that are spending money on their food. I've been here twice. The first time I got the 1/2 chicken meal. It was really good. From the chicken to the beans and rice and tortillas it was great. This time they weren't doing the chicken so I got the alpastor taco meal. The girl making the food was too busy gossiping and cussing to heat the food up on the grill I guess. The corn tortillas were stone cold and the meat was about room temperature only. Something like this can get people sick when meat is not heated enough to kill off pathogens. read more

The most flavorful taco treats in order of greatness: Al pastor, chile verde, asada, and chorizo. Chorizo sauce came in a little strong on one visit but nonetheless, the other flavors more than made up for this minor taste glitch. Recommended the Mexican corn on the cob with all the butter and cream fixings in addition to your order to wrap-up the visit. Adding to the coolness factor is the building structure was once a former KFC where you can still see the Colonel's logo in one of the windows dividing the dining area from line ordering area. The girl working was just focused on drive thru orders, didn't even tell us anything. The tables were very dirty and and lobby floor needs a sweep and mop. Money just walked out the door. read more

This place is really good. The marinade on the carne Asada is delicious. Very big size burritos and well served. Another thing I like is that they aren't full of grease like most places make them. Definitely my new favorite spot for tacos and burritos. read more

Best asada tacos in town! Their meat is always delicious and trimmed so rarely any big chunks of fat and they make their tortillas fresh with every order. I think they might make their verde (green) sauce there as well just because it doesn't always taste exactly the same but I could be wrong. One of our favorite places in town for "fast" Mexican food. Prices are decent and the facility looks clean every time I've been. Bonus is that they have a drive through, which helps a lot when you have 3 kids and the wait is always really short. read more

Great tacos, they marinate their meat and it has a nice smoky flavor that other places in Dinuba don't. Also they make their own tortillas which is nice! My only complaint is that a few times the salsa has been bitter, the type of bitterness that results from bad tomatillos. read more

We decided to pick up some take out from this restaurant due to all the great things I had heard. I had eaten from their other restaurant in Reedley and had a good experience. It should be noted that I went through their drive through, so my meal was sitting in a Styrofoam box for a few minutes on the drive home. My wife got a carne asada burrito, which was really tasty. The asada is nicely marinated with a good lemon flavor. The burrito came with rice, beans, meat, and salsa. I got an al pastor taco, which was also good. I believe the corn tortillas they use are hand made. I also got a little adventurous and ordered the asada fries. It was a very large serving, but it wasn't all that I thought it would be. The asada was awesome, as noted, but the fries they used were scrawny and soggy. The cheese they used was the mozzarella - like Mexican cheese. The cheese congealed rather quickly, which left me with topping that I had to cut with a knife. Had I not ordered the fries, and ordered a standard meal, I'm sure this review would be 5 stars. But as it stands, my experience was a solid 4. I would recommend this restaurant, I would just advise to steer clear of the asada fries. read more

I got a burrito like I usually do and this time it was cold so I called them back to see if I can get my money back I took a few bites and that's when I got to the cold part of the burrito so i stopped eating and let them know it was cold so the first girl I talked to told me they couldn't do anything since I took a few bites so I asked for the manager and the worker said she was busy so I continued to tell her that if I can get a replacement she said no. So i asked for the manager again this time she put the phone down and I could hear them laugh about what happened in the back round. So finally the manager picked up and asked me the same exact questions the worker did she said it maybe because I took it home it and it got cold from the drive which is about 1 minute drive.
