Just passing thru town and our first two choices of restaurants were "not available ", we went with choice#3 (on a Tuesday around 2pm) Herrera's. Expecting a marginally acceptable meal. However we were promptly greeted and seated, waitress and servers were extremely polite and attentive. We were given chips with 2 bowls of warm salsas, a bowl of warm queso and a bowl of jalapeños. I'm in shock still from the well trained staff, but they won me over already with the queso and jalapeños. Ordered the big combo meal and everything was wonderful! So excited to find this place today! We drove an hour from home in search of gas (electricity is out after the hurricane) and happened upon this restaurant. It was cash only, but the food was fast, fresh, and they have very large portions. Delicious warm salsa, drinks never went half empty, clean, and very friendly service.
