Loved all the plants and art they have all over the restaurant, brings out the culture which is always lovely to see! The portions are so generous and they do have quite an extensive menu. I ordered the pork carnitas with black beans and a side of grilled onions and serranos, and a margarita. The only thing that threw me off and I'm not sure what it was, something in my food tasted sweet. I'm not entirely sure if it's due to the soda in the carnitas or something else. I did learn from my server that the carnitas had just finished being ready - very tender and fresh! My server was attentive and friendly! Amazing service, good food, and delicious margarita! My friend and I came for lunch on Friday and it was packed in the parking lot. We got seated right away and was pleased to see chips and salsa come out immediately as well as water. We put in our ordered about 5 minutes later and it came out pretty quickly. TLDR/ Price: Okay, Food: Meh, Cleanliness: Clean, Verdict: Eh, maybe? The meal I just ate was nothing to write home about. The food was criminally under seasoned and a bit crispy from being under a heat lamp for maybe too long. I had enchiladas and my hubby had Pollo Asado. We split the Queso fundido and I ordered a third enchilada, ranchero style, on the side. While nothing tasted bad, nothing was particularly great either. It was all just okay, which is a bummer for the price and time it took to go out in the first place. The service was equally lackluster, not bad, not good, just meh. They brought a pitcher of water and left it at the table, it just felt low effort. I get that things are tough for servers, but you could at least say that rather than just dropping it off. Also, if you do that, at least make sure the pitcher gets refilled, as it sat empty for more than half our meal. The queso fundido was good, but seemed to have much less chorizo than the picture on the menu and didn't come with anything to dip into it. I had to ask for a refill of the chips just so we could eat it. They did give us appetizer plates to use though, which was nice. I was so underwhelmed by my meal, I declined to ask for dessert, and they declined to offer it, so perhaps the feeling was mutual. The shabbiness of the decor and the low effort service made me feel a bit meh myself, and that is never how you want to leave a restaurant. Overall, there is nothing wrong with Las Margaritas but I question if that is enough in this current climate to justify going there. I ordered the CAMARONES MONTERREY: Six large prawns wrapped in bacon, ham, and cheese, smothered in a creamy Portuguese sauce with mushrooms and broccoli - ITS THE SAUCE for me !!! I have never had bacon wrapped prawns soooo juicy!! My husband had the Mexican Trio: Bacon-wrapped prawns, charbroiled chicken breast, and carne asada - served with rice, whole beans, queso fresco, and tortilla. When you're paying $27 for seafood chimichangas you're to expect something sensational. Not quite the case at Las Margaritas. Serving was decent, tast and quality of the food was ok. Not sure where they are getting the surcharge as I've had better ones for much cheaper. On top of this, the glasses were dirty! I ordered an uber eats pickup and arrived a few minutes before it was ready. I sat down and several employees rushed to help me. Everyone was kind. They gave me my bag early but forgot the virgin marg. I also forgot. One employee got my attention and gave me the drink on the way out the door. I totally would have forgotten. On the way home, I had to slam on my brakes and the food fell completely upside down. I was able to pick it back up and NOTHING had spilled. Not the two salsas, not the SOUP, not anything. My tacos were not made correctly. Flour instead of corn tortillas. Waited for a long time. There wasn't any meat in the tacos just fillings. I pointed it out immediately and asked for a manager. Las Margaritas: I got a seafood dish. I can't find it on the menu. It had clams, mussels, scallops, shrimps and white fish on a bed of rice and cheese. It was so rich and good. It's a little pricey, but well worth it. I think the dish is similar to a Borracho Special, the seafood was in tomato like wine sauce. The place is nice and clean. Las Margaritas used to be the best alternative to Azteca and Toreros. For some reason despite having horrible food, Azteca blew up and Las Mas and Toreros faded out. It's the Taco Bell effect. Too many people that dream about Mexico want to pretend like Taco Bell tastes just like the tacos served at their south of the border resort when it doesn't even taste like Mexican food. The Kent location used to be my favorite location, but it closed about 7-8 years ago. I ate at Issaquah about 5 years ago and it was super disappointing. That was the point I found out that locations were Franchised and the problem with Franchises is consistency is always in question. When we arrived here, we were surprised to see the lot was full, that was a positive sign, However once inside, we were ignored. I watched a lady that was legit 70+ leaning against the counter for stability trying to pay her bill, and for more than 5 minutes, no one came to accept her payment. Even worse, plenty of employees appeared to be standing around. I flagged one down and simply said, "What does it take to get a table". She looked back like I'd asked her what her bra size was. She grabbed menus, simply said follow me, walked up to a table, and slung our menus down like she was putting dirty laundry on the pile. I'm happy to say, that's where the rude service ended, once seated, everyone was really nice. Looking around, the food looked good, people looked happy and there were several Mexican families which let me know these guys were serving a respectable plate. I was in the mood for Tortilla Soup. I considered chasing it was an appetizer, but after I saw menu prices were 20% higher than the website, I decided I'd keep it simple. If you can afford to have new menus printed, you can afford to update your website. It's a tacky move to not keep your website and prices up to date. Matter of fact it's downright sloppy When my soup came, I have to be 100% honest, I could smell it and it smelled good, steam was coming off the bowl, so it was hot, and the tortilla strips were crunchy which meant it was fresh out the kitchen! That said, it was probably the savoriest bowl of Tortilla Soup, I've ever had, there was just two problem. 1) It was smaller than most bowls. It wasn't tiny, but I'm used to a really large bowl, and this came off more like a lunch portion. 2) There couldn't have been more than 2 tablespoons of chicken in that bowl making it a complete rip off. If I can get a half pound of fried tenders for $10 you can put at least 1/3 pound of chicken in my soup for $14. Like I said, on flavor, I'll give it 10/10, but on value, it's 2/10 and when you combine that with the initial service. These guys got some work to do. I saw some big plates going around, so maybe someone made a mistake with my soup, but again, my meal was a complete rip off. I'd give these guys another chance, but if the service and portion isn't any better, I'll be amending my review to tell exactly what the problems appear to be. read more

This place has a fun enterior. So many things to look at and the staff was hilarious. Foos came fast and it was fresh! The chicken fajita salad was FIRE!!! The chicken was amazingly seasoned. The only thing is the portion was very small for the price. I'm used to $16 salads being HUGE but this was more of the size of a side salad. None the less it was good. Being from California, I'm a big fan of Mexican food. This is the closest I've found to my favorite Mexican restaurants in California. The chips are always fresh. The salsa is perfect. Just wish their tables were a lil higher for persons in wheelchairs, so they don't have to bend over so far to be able to eat, and also don't have to worry bout getting food all over yourself.
