Cashier was extremely rude I speak Spanish fluently and ordered my food and she didn't speak English and was nasty to me because I spoke to her in Spanish the food were gross I ordered 2 tacos asada with rice and beans. It's come with a drink she charged me for a drink I told her she got extremely defensive I said let me talk to the manager he said oh ok so you want a refund? I said yes he says it's not a big deal . This El Rinconsitos in Auburn is much bigger than the Kent location. I'm glad that we came here because we were able to dine in. They had lots of seating inside and seem like their booths were new, too. We order our food with the cashier and there's actually server who comes out with your food and clean your table when you're done. This is like a fast food joint, but the service they go above and beyond! Now for the food, we ordered the special. Which was the Pollo Asado with the chicken thighs and corn tortillas . This was only $9.99 for the moment, not sure how long this special will last. But of course, we had to get extra rice, side of guacamole and sour cream! Just an update, they are now serving the salsa bar again. It was one of the worst parts of the pandemic when they stopped. It's back and it's just as good as before! The food has not gone down in quality and unlike a lot of other restaurants in the area, the price hasn't skyrocketed. It's reasonable and delicious, plus it's open later than most other restaurants in Auburn. The service is great too! The counter cashiers are always hopping but I never feel rushed. Such a great vibe with this place! If you are looking for that good good taco truck feel but in a nice fast casual atmosphere this place is for you! It's as authentic as it could be! We love their street tacos and burritos are bomb digady too! Sometimes service can be glitchy and they miss a few items in the order but it's all good - the quality of food makes up for it. I've been to this restaurant a couple times now, and everyone that I talk to loves it, and I want to love it... but..... The street tacos are good, authentic. They are loaded with raw onion. Also, you have the option of additional toppings at a salsa, cabbage, radish bar. Taco combos come with a grilled jalapeño and part of an onion. A coworker got the Menudo, which I did not taste. He enjoyed it, and comes often. I've also ordered enchiladas. I didn't want rice & beans, but was told I couldn't order without. Then told I could. It was confusing for all. Service is okay. Not super friendly. Not super fast - considering its fast food. I'd give it another try and I'm ready, anytime, for them to win me over. They have a free taco promotion with Seattle Sounder but you have to download the app, create a new account with yet another password and then link that account to your Ticket master account to get the coupon QR for the promotion. This is their closest restaurant to my house, 20 minutes away, but after jumping through all the hoops and driving out there. I was looking forward to trying a new spot, and didn't even get to the rest of my order when they started looking for any excuse not to honor the free tacos. I normally order 3 fried potato tacos for me and my family and last time I went I ordered a kids burrito with no meat I just wanted beans and cheese inside but instead it came with ground beef beans and cheese. I double checked before I paid cuz I was in the drive thru and they said yes no meat but when I got home I opened the box and it had meat. FRAUD ALERT!!! BEWARE OF YOUR DEBIT/CREDIT CARD. THERE IS AN ACTIVE POLICE INVESTIGATION FOR THEFT. My husband and I recently made a trip to the drive thru since we go here often. Everything was pretty much normal. The lady working the drive thru didn't seem enthusiastic or went above and beyond with customer service but this didn't bother us. We love the food here and are loyal repeat customers. The total for our order was about $16. She handed us our receipts (2), a merchant and customer copy to sign. While signing the "merchant" copy we noticed that the "customer copy" was for $16 and the merchant copy was for $36. Then we noticed that they were BOTH merchant copy receipts and were two separate charges/transactions. She ran our card twice for two different amounts. My husband asked her about this and she was completely unapologetic. Couldn't even explain why or how it may have happened. Literally says nothing at all or acknowledges the situation. It almost seemed like she knew she got caught. She says "give me your card again" so she can refund us, very monotoned and completely unsympathetic. We hang in drive thru for several minutes as she works on refunding us. She hands us a new receipt of the supposed refund. But nowhere on this receipt does it say it's a refund and it literally just looks like she charged us a second time for $36. The vibe we were getting from her was so off so we decided to leave it and head home. We check our bank account two days later and she did in fact charge us THREE times. $16, $36, $36. I'm not sure if the 3rd charge was a genuine mistake or not but there's no way they "accidentally" ran our credit card twice for two different amounts. What sucks is that the items are not itemized on the receipts so they could literally throw ANY number on there and charge us. But luckily we noticed. I also want to add that we recently received a phone call from our bank about fraudulent charges made on our card (over $1000) just a couple of weeks before this incident. The bank rep said they were all online charges and the credit card info was likely obtained in person. As mentioned earlier, we are repeat customers here. It truly made me wonder if this restaurant had anything to do with those fraudulent online charges after experiencing this bizarre incident and the employees lack of empathy. Right now we are going through our bank statements to search for other suspicious charges from this restaurant. We were advised to reach out to local police and there is currently an active investigation going on. If you've eaten here before, please check your receipts to make sure you were charged correctly and to check your bank statements for anything suspicious. read more

I have only been here once, with my Dad and Grandpa. Grandpa lives in the area: he recommended it. He and his wife are LA Mexicans, and moved to the area 20 years ago. My Grandpa and I got the menudo and it was amazing. I haven't had menudo before, but it was soooo good. Rich, flavorful broth, an assortment of toppings that just added to it, and yummy chunks of tripe. Spicy! I love "weird" meats and spicy food, so it was perfect. The weather was rainy/drizzly, cold, cloudy, and foggy, and it was just the thing. There was enough leftover for me to have for lunch the next day and the soup was a solid mass of congealed broth and ingredients (which is a very good thing). My Dad got the pozole, as he prefers cuts of meat rather than organs lol. He enjoyed it very much as well. There were these fried triangles of tortilla, filled with potato that came with it, and they were delicious! I've never experienced that before. I live in Portland and am craving them again writing this. 3.5 stars. This is my go-to spot for chicken tortilla soup and menudo. I have yet to find another restaurant in the western WA area that even comes close to getting it just right. Perfect for when you have a cold, a hangover, or just want to stay home on a rainy weekend afternoon. The flavors bring me back to my younger years in LA, going to family parties on weekends, where steaming pots of menudo and birria would sit on large banquet tables, and everyone would pour themselves bowlful after bowlful as the beers disappeared from the ice coolers. While their soups are the best I've come across, their burritos and tacos are passable, and offer nothing special. My main problem with this place, however, is that the cleanliness around the seating area leaves something to be desired, which is surprising given it's hardly ever busy when I've dropped by. read more
