They focus on fresh produce from local farmers and some they grow there. If you are within a 30 minute drive, I would suggest going as there is not much in that area that compares according to our friends. I think what I enjoyed most here was the unique flavors and takes on traditional dishes. I loved the beat salad for example (so fresh and so clean as OutKast put it best) and with the mashed potato's that came with the short rib (so tender and flavorful as well), the mustard flavor and other ingredient that I don't typically like, only enhanced the dish for me. The potato soup was solid and very creamy. We also had the duck, which was tender, and delicious. I was glad to share dishes and "game the system." I had both the old fashioned and tried the old fashioned girl and both were good. I meant to get the smoky old fashioned because I saw someone else getting this and it looked delicious but they thought I wanted the old fashioned girl, which also has a smokey flavor. The dessert chocolate-e muffin concoction was rich and tasty. The chef actually came out during our visit and sat with us and jokingly tried to order food from his wait staff. I enjoyed this comedic act and felt like there was a real personal touch to our meal. My only real disappointment was our check-out experience where we couldn't get our credit card back and it took almost 30 minutes to actually pay and leave. The whole meal was also expensive but I knew that going in and knew we were paying for a special, unique experience.
