Food is delicious! The trash can nachos are quite the feast. The cheese dip with ground beef is always a go to for me here. They have a huge variety. Service is good and the restaurant is huge. I've coming here and if I'm out in ofallon area I like to come here!

I visited for lunch with a group of five. We were greeted and sat at a table right away. The restaurant is large, open, and clean. We were sat at a high top table on the bar side. Above the original table we were sat at, the lights were flickering obnoxiously. It was quite annoying, especially while we were trying to read the menu, so we asked to move tables. I saw that they have some cute outdoor seating on a small patio in the back. I would've loved to sit out there if it hadn't been so hot outside the day we went! Service was fine. Nothing super memorable or above and beyond, but no complaints about it either. The complimentary chips and salsa were good. For my meal, I had a cheese quesadilla. It was pretty good and very inexpensive! Some of the other people at my table ordered their combo meals, and those looked good, too. I'd visit again and maybe try one of their margaritas!

Las margs is always a good time with good food. The trio special is the best menu item in my opinion and I have eaten quite a few different things here. Service is always quick/kind and the environment is usually fun. I will be returning many times again.

I wanted something different so stopped in to Las Margaritas. It was decent and I enjoyed my dinner but far from best Mexican I had previously. I had a margarita and trash nachos. The nachos were decent and enough for two people easily. The server recommended this dish and it was a good recommendation. My margarita was not good, it was the first time I had a subpar margarita in a while. I do not like sending items back so I endured the drink but did not order another. I am two drink lady but due to first disappointment opted for water. The restaurant looked nice and updated. It was decorated for Halloween so I did like that. Also reasonably priced as well.

Updated review, large restaurant with a full bar and an outdoor seating area available. We went on Cinco de Mayo and were surprised that it wasn't busy but they had a limited menu for the day so options were small. I had the tacos and they were good, very flavorful but was a bit disappointed that they didn't offer any side options , husband had a combo plate and was happy with his food.

We were visiting family in St. Charles, Missouri over the weekend. Our niece and nephew both enjoy Mexican food, and they'd never been here before, so we tried Las Margaritas for dinner. When we arrived, we found a good-sized parking lot busy with other patrons arriving. The restaurant was lovely with various sizes of booths and tables and a beautiful bar. As we entered the spacious lobby, we informed the hostess we needed a table for 5. The hostess took us to a strange shaped, small table that 4 individuals would barely be comfortable sitting at much less room for all the appetizer dishware, the dinner plates, and various glassware plus baskets of Tortilla chips. We asked to be moved, and the hostess appeared to take it personally even though she understood the reasoning. So we were moved to a table for 6, allowing tabletop space as well as personal space between us. We are not petite people, so this made everyone feel better. One issue quickly resolved. The menu had all the standard favorites most people enjoy with a few twists on a couple of the entrees. All of the House Favorites options sounded delicious and different from many restaurants. A large baked potato covered with a choice of chicken or steak, veggies, and queso dip sounded scrumptious to me, but I saw it after I ordered. The other item I missed was the Southwest chicken wings served with a spinach queso dip. We asked for two orders of Queso dip (minus Chorizo) since they were very small orders. It was made with Chihuahua cheese topped with bell peppers, tomatoes, and onions. It was very good with the warm chips. We also ordered guacamole, but unfortunately, it never arrived even after reminding our server. Between the five of us, we ordered the following: - A Taco Salad, with several modifications that removed a large percentage of the flavor. She preceded to then complain that the salad had no flavor. No surprise! She should have ordered another salad option but said no. We can't blame the restaurant since she requested the salad ingredients and received the salad as requested. -Cochinita Pibil is a tortilla filled with roasted pork with achiote peppers, topped with cheese sauce, served with rice, refried beans, and street corn cut off the cob. It was very flavorful, spicy, a generous portion of pork, then smothered in a cheese sauce. I would definitely order again. - Burrito Steak Chili Colorado had tender chunks of steak smothered in ranchero sauce and served with rice and beans. My husband was disappointed due to the lack of flavor and spice, whether hot or not. He would not reorder if we return. Next, our nephew tried the Carnitas dinner, which was tender, flavorful, and plentiful. It was served with rice and beans. He could only eat about half of the entree, so he, along with a couple of others, had carryout boxes. Lastly, our niece ordered the Chili Relleno smothered in cheese sauce and served with rice and refried beans. She enjoyed the Chili Relleno but wasn't pleased with the rice. Each of us had various opinions of our dining experience, but 4 out of 5 of us said they'd return, and 3 out of 5 enjoyed their dinners. The restaurant isn't a destination location for us, but we could return on our next trip.

We've been here before but it was long ago and we didn't remember the experience. So, we bypassed our favorite Mexican place--and another we enjoy--to try this "new" to us spot. That's a decision we regretted. Arriving well before the Valentine Day dinner rush we were seated immediately. Our booth lacked overhead lighting, which made it difficult to read the menu's tiny print on purple paper. I moved from the table to a better lighted spot to review the menu. About our server: I'm unsure he was mentally in the same location. There were several miscues. First, there was the forgotten tea sweetener, necessitating a reminder. Next, confusion around the order. We explained we were splitting an entree. "No problem, sir." I mentioned again we were splitting a combo and asked if it included refried beans and rice. "Of course, sir." Then, there were back and forth questions about how to fix the combo until I pointed out the menu description. Our server then asked my wife what she would like. For the third time I explained we were splitting the combo. The food came quickly enough but was simply uninteresting. Really, I could have easily made better seasoned ground beef at home. There were no beans nor rice with the meal. Our server reappeared only when it was time to clear plates. It will be a while before we return because we'll have no trouble remembering this experience.

I spoke with server about eating something to help warm me up. It was a cold day, 10F so she recommended the "pozole". Absolutely delicious, I added all the helpings. Could not finish it but left with a full stomach. Great place to stop by and grab a bit. Staff is helpful, the place is clean, and food is delicious.

Let me start off by saying that we love this place and they have amazing food! Or at least we did love it. The last two times we've been, the service has been awful. We came in on a Sunday at 11:30am and the church crowd hadn't hit yet, so there were maybe 6 tables with guests. We waited 10 minutes for a server to come to our table, and only after I asked the hostess if we had a server in our section. As I walked up to speak to the hostess, I saw 6 servers sitting in the bar watching the olympics and talking to each other. I would completely understand waiting if the restaurant was packed, but these guys were just sitting around watching tv! I gave 2 stars because we still love their food, but if they don't get their service in shape quickly, they're going to start losing a lot of business! There was a similar place in O'Fallon called BBQ Blues Smokehouse...fantastic BBQ but service was terrible. They closed down after a year. Hope the same doesn't happen to Las Margaritas. read more

The restaurant has taken a dive in the last month or two. When we first showed up were were very forward about our dog which we wanted to be with us while we had our dinner. They were amazing and went above and beyond to treat us like every other client on the establishment. The second time we though maybe we just had a bad waiter or something. It happens... This time we showed up and walked onto the back patio and had a seat. This time being just after lunch we were just going to have some drinks and talk about our impending house purchase. We were served drinks and did not see the waiter again until it was time to go. The queso we ordered was so bland that even adding salsa to it simply made the salsa bland as well. The chips were meh, and the drinks were stupid expensive. A draft beer was $7.50 and a Long island was $8. the queso was $5 and all together we walked away with a $22 bill when we each had one drink and split a queso. Note, the last time we were there we each had a drink and a meal for $26. I really feel that the price was altered to ensure they didn't lose money on us. Well, surprise! We will not be back and you have lost any future dollars we would have EVER spent there. Good luck Margaritas! I wish you nothing but the best without our patronage. read more

On our second time to this place we got in. I figured with the 40 minute wait for 2 that we had the prior attempt that going for a midweek lunch may be better. 1130am arrival got us seated right away and in a mostly empty restaurant. 10 minutes after being seated in the table closest to the front door (did I mention half the place was empty and not by obvious sections either) and we finally got water and a coke....still no chips though. To say the service was slow is an understatement. No wonder the wait was so long the other night we tried. Gaaaaa!!!!! 23 minutes to get chips salsa and cokes. Mañana time I guess. The menu is almost a direct take off of anothe local Mex restaurant, Mi Ranchitos down in the City. Hope this is a branch from the same owners because even some of the specials are named and put together the same. Finally after 25 minutes we had first drinks, chips n salsa and our food order in. Starting to want to offer to help out in the kitchen. I judge a Mexican restaurant's food based upon salsa, nachos, quesidillas, and fajitas. For this one salsa was a bit too spicy but ok, nachos...well as slow as they were going I didn't order them, quesidilla...OMG the tortilla was 1/4" thick so it may as well have been on bread. Well filled but it looked like a stuffed pancake more than anything so you get lots to take home too...as for the fajitas well the oeppers and onions ended up scorched black because the iron plate was too hot and they were cut rather thick, the chicken was ok if you don't mind sorting through the veggies for the tiny pieces of it after the first big 3-4. Believe it or not, getting the check was almost as slow...our server had us and a 4 top is all. We will give them a few more months breaking in while we go to Jose Peños down the street for faster sevice and better food for a while. read more

I was staying at the Staybridge Suites and this restaurant is located just behind the pool area. This is a great place to come sit on the patio and enjoy a margarita. I was impressed with the Shrimp fajitas - they put a lot of shrimp on them. I even enjoyed them the next day for lunch as the portions are huge. Next time I would have them cut back on the oil but they were so delicious. read more

The food was excellent and the top shelf margarita was very good. Also the restaurant is beautiful with a very nice atmosphere. And it appears to be very popular! The only bad thing I can say about it is the lights hanging over the booth tables are too bright and hot. read more

Went in for dinner tonight. Server came to table took drink order, brought waters and told us the grill isn't working so all we can order is combination dinners. Why weren't we told that when we came in??? So ordered tacos and chili relleno. Which was fine but never filled water or offered another drink or anything. read more

After giving this place a few more visits, I now love it. It must be under new ownership. Their tacos are amazing. Service is ok at best. Much of the staff can't speak English but that is ok.the people working here are hard working mostly. read more

We went in on a Friday night for dinner with a party of six and they told us wait time would be more than an hour. Mind you there was plenty of smaller tables visibly open and we were the only group standing waiting to be seated. We left. Now we came back Sunday at 3pm and it was about 15% occupied. The hostess asked a waiter if she could seat us in his area and he rudely said no. She said they only had two waiters working so we would have to sit in the bar area on separate tables. Horrible service and will never go back again. Who ever is managing this needs to fix this ASAP before they go out of business... read more

Shitty service. Good luck being acknowledged at the bar. They don't have enough bar glasses to serve guests, so they bring your drink in a plastic to-go soup container. Drinks inconsistent quality/taste. Food was okay, but by the time you get it, you are so pissed off about everything else that it really doesn't matter. They need bar backs cleaning glasses and picking up dirty dishes. Clearly VERY poor management and running too lean on staff. Of course, there was NO management in sight the entire evening. read more

The atmosphere here is very nice and upscale but the prices are very fair and competitive compared to other local Mexican restaurants. Oh my freaking goodness!!! Have been here numerous times. The Franzia fries here with steak instead of chicken are so delicious. I was told next time to try them with chicken and steak. Noted. One of the best dishes I've had. Waited over 5 minutes while sitting at the bar to be acknowledged. Bar was not busy. Ordered margarita dip-tasted like dish wash chemicals. Bathrooms in bar filthy with trash on floors, no soap. We left. Would not recommend read more

Saw an ad on tv, drove by and decided to go for dinner. They didn't disappoint. For starters margaritas & salsa (nice bite to it) were great. We had the avocado appetizer, which tasted fresh & delicious. Then we had the shrimp fajitas for two which again tasted fantastic. We sat at the bar watching March Madness, it has about 5 tables and 2 booths & 3 TV's. Bartenders were great! Price a little higher but worth it. read more

My wife and I just made our second visit to this restaurant. We love to sit outside and Las Margarita has a very nice patio with a fair amount of seating. This visit it was about to storm so we ate inside. It was Friday night so the place was packed. We were lucky enough to find two seats at the bar, which is very nice and extremely busy. We enjoyed sitting there watching the bartenders do their thing. Margaritas were very tasty and the food was good. Very busy place which we are glad. Decided to try this restaurant since it was next door to our hotel. I really enjoyed my dinner. I had the sautéed Shrimp Special that was very good. The shrimps had great flavor as did the sauce of onions and bell peppers. My husband enjoyed the chili verde. His portion was large. The chips and salsa were good too. Our server was very attentive. We were visiting family in O'Fallon. First visit to this area from California. Good experience for us. read more

Came in for lunch on a Saturday and service was great! Chips and salsa were delicious. Had a frozen raspberry Margarita and taco salad with steak. Lunch specials are great. Waitress was friendly and spoke English and Spanish very well. Definitely worth another visit. read more

Probably been about six or seven times. It is probably the first or second best Mexican restaurant in the area. The food quality is very good but service varies quite a bit from excellent to poor. One reason we have choosen to go elsewhere is the awkward seating arrangements. All the seating is fine if you have only two or three in your party, but the tables become awkward when you get four or especially five. None of the tables are really designed to seat parties of four or more comfortably. Otherwise very good food and consistency is usually pretty good. read more

Where do I start... it took 20 minutes for our waitress to even see if we wanted anything to drink and then another 29 minutes to order. Food did come out quick and was okay. Then we received our bill... have the waitress our credit card and then waited... and waited...and waited. We finally found our waitress and was informed that she can't find our credit card!!!! Got the managers involved and then waited another 20 minutes while they tried to look for it. They came back later to say it was an accident and it wasn't their fault that the credit card was lost. No sorry... no nothing. Will NEVER ever recommend this place EVER! read more

Food is good but not worth 5 stars. Very sad about the margaritas. They are just not great. I had to add a shot of grand marnier to take the sweetness level down. The nacho appetizer was good. I will still go back again and just get a beer! read more

Wow, what a great restaurant. My wife and I stopped in after a meeting and we were greeted immediately by the host who sat us down. Right after that came some chips and salsa. And then right after that Andrea our server came by to ask us if we wanted anything to drink. She greeted us with a smile and my oh my was she just the best server. The food was awesome. My wife had the shrimp tacos and I had the tacos al pastor. This is now one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the St. Louis area. We will definitely go back. Again, not only was the food great but our server also made our evening. Thank you again Andrea. read more

I just had the WORST experience here. My husband and I just left here because we were berated by the server. Apparently when you say you would like to sit at the bar that means literally at the bar. The place was EMPTY and I sat at a high top. The server came over and asked me how many were joining me. I said one. He hastily walked off shaking his head. He came back to the table with menus and then said "when you tell the hostess bar. That means the bar. Not at these tables". His demeanor and body language clearly stated we did something wrong and did not want to wait on us. Needless to say. I said fine and walked out. Have been to this place 2-3 times while traveling to St. Louis. Amazing Mexican food : huge portion sizes and simply delicious.Have tried their chicken and steak fajitas, chicken quesadilla. Their guacamole is also freshly made and delicious. The chips they serve as soon as you sit down are freshly made and crisp. Simply irresistible. I prefer lesser salt in my meals so that would be an improvement point from my side. However, others might prefer more salt. read more

My family and I went out to eat here for my birthday. They do not take call ahead seating or reservations for large parties so we showed up and there was a 45 min wait for our party. 2 hours later we FINALLY got sat.. which I understand you can't control when people get up. But at no point did a manager come to us and apologize or let us know what was going on.. we just kept being told we will be the next large party. Then our food took and hour and came out cold. No one was helping our server run her food so she was having to go back and forth one tray at a time delivering food while half the staff stand around. Now half of the people at my table have food and the other half don't.. the food was cold and super salty.. not to mention that in the shrimp, chicken and steak fajita.. there was only one piece of shrimp. Then the manager came over to talk to us and didn't seem like he even cared that we were upset and just wanted us to get out at this point. Our server was amazing and doing the best she could for the situation but everything else was handled terribly. When we got our meals random slices of potatoes were on our food along with scraps of food from the looks of it. only shocker we didn't order potatoes, we simply ordered quesadillas. Later that evening when arriving home straight to the bathrooms and took a fat dookie (shocked emoji). Next day shitted blood, wish for my money back. Tonight wasn't good. We've been here several other times it was wonderful. But tonight - 2 of us at bar only 1 menu. Ordered top shelf margs. Bartender had no orange juice. Had to wait for someone to find. Somehow someone found the oj. Asked for wifi password Told no wifi even though las marg showed up on wifi list. Finally got our pitchers of msrgs with no glasses. This is the BEST Mexican restaurant around! We are there at least once a week if not twice a week. We absolutely love the food and the staff! Las Margaritas became one of my favorite local spots. It opened fairly recently, but does a great business. The service is nice and fast. The portions in this place are huge. I wouldn't call it an authentic Mexican. To me its more Tex Mex style. The atmosphere is what I'd call contemporary American-Mexican; new, clean, nice. There are both: bar area and dining area. A pitcher of margaritas that was heavy on the ice and zero tequila..I've had better a better Mexican Cuisine experience at Taco Hell for a LOT less $$.
