Four corn tortillas, dipped in that rich red consomé and grilled just right -- exactly how birria should be. The flavor was on point, warm, saucy, and satisfying. What really sets this place apart is how well they take care of delivery orders. They sent everything: two cups of consomé, chips, multiple salsas, beans, onions, limes -- all the fixings. Many spots only send the tacos and call it a day, but Las Margaritas makes sure you get the full experience even at home. Big win. The only small hiccup? There was no clear indication of what meat they use for their birria tacos. Traditionally it's goat, but many places now use beef, and it would be helpful if the menu or delivery apps stated it clearly. My wife and I travelled through West Memphis and stopped for supper at Las Margaritas. Surroundings are neat, clean and traditional in a family friendly setting, and service is both welcoming and efficient. We had two for one house margaritas and chicken fajitas for two and enjoyed ourselves greatly. Servings were quite generous and prices extremely competitive. Friday evening should be peak business but here there was no wait, plenty of tables and a very friendly staff. Had a house margarita that was quite enjoyable and the meals served were hot with plenty of food to fill the large plates. Bright welcoming atmosphere with music playing on speakers in background. About half way through the meal a party was apparently booked in the area adjacent to the main restaurant. Seems like their music pumped through the ceiling speakers. The menu was huge and so I was unsure what I wanted. we were there for a late lunch on a Saturday. fairly large restaurant with awesome furniture. I loved the upholstery they used. There were very few people in the restaurant. I ordered the lunch plate with a chili relleno, chicken flauta and a beef taco. the flauta was my favorite and I love rellenos.my brother in law had a garlic shrimp dish that was great. we were all super happy with the food, service was lacking, considering there it was an empty restaurant. nothing terrible, but just not very attentive, my water glass was empty. I visited this restaurant since it was close to my hotel and there were not a lot of other choices to dine at 8pm on a Monday night. The first sign i saw upon entering was the 2 for 1 margaritas Sun-Thurs. These margaritas are pretty weak and not shaken. They have a slight hint of tequila and you can tell they use a mix and just add it to their well tequila. For a better margarita, I would just call your tequila or ask for skinny. Although on second thought, they may not understand you, so just ask for a shaken one. Their specialty is the baked potato served with 3 meats, steak, chicken and shrimp fajita covered with sour cream and cheese and onions and bell peppers. I actually saw a few people order it too. The super house specialty is the Anaconda, a 3 ft long burrito, feeds up to 4 people and comes with steak and chicken. Many sides and spicy sauces like habamero sauce. I just ordered the beef fajitas. They were alright, meat was fairly tender, but the flavor was just not like back home where I think they have the best fajitas. The restaurant actually has 2 bar areas in the back, the smaller one wasn't open the day I visited, but it may be open on busy nights, like Cinco de Mayo. I had kinda heard there was DJ on the weekend but didn't expect it at 8pm during my Boys playoff game. Anyway, the chicken fajitas nachos were worth every penny. The happy hour large margarita not so much. Wondered why everyone was drinking the small one. Switched to mexican beer since when I said IPA the bartender looked at me with a glazed look. We cadre driving through on a 3500 mile trip and spending the night in town. Called to verify they have outdoor patio and we can bring a large dog and we're told absolutely! When we arrived. Hostess said she couldn't accommodate us because they had no patio staff. Admittedly, I threw a bit of a fuss and they agreed to seat us outside. Honestly, they just went above and beyond to make us happy even though we were mentally prepared for bad service, but I just cannot thank the sweet hostess and her manager for committing to serve us outside. Very recommended to me by locals, it's funny thus place isn't on Yelp yet! It appears to be attached to the Days Inn, but I could be mistaken. They cant serve margaritas before noon, which is a bizarre AR law. Food is outstandingly delicious, food and drinks are massive. I promise you'll have leftovers of both. Customer service is fine, the staff is fluently bilingual, although timid enough to race to get someone even more bilingual, if they feel you didn't understand them- but don't worry, you'll understand them fine. Menu items are really creative! Pineapple fajitas here, as well as something called a volcano fajita: called so because it is served in a bread bowl, not because it's firey hot. Thought it's time for some dinner and lets get Mexican. So I really just wanted a margarita and you can't get those at most catfish or BBQ places. Walk in and damn, this place is huge. They have front section seating, a section on the side and one in the back. They even have two bar sections with a shitload of TVs. Note the smaller bar wasn't open when we were there. The seats for the booths (leather, if I remember correctly) are worn out with cracks and tears, but the place was clean (minus the restroom). Food and beverage wise, the salsa was good, cheese dip just okay. Entree, Polo Margarita (grilled chicken breast with shrimp and chorizo), was damn good. Highly recommend it. The margaritas were good as well. Only downside food wise was the chips. They were oily as hell. I'm thinking they had a flunky or newbie on chip duty that night, who didn't have the oil hot enough when they fried the chips. Overall though, I would recommend this place. read more

The restaurant smelled bad enough after walking in we decided to leave without ordering

After much waiting for Margaritas to reopen AGAIN, it was much disappointing!! My husband and I were FAITHFUL PATRONS on Tuesdays and Thursdays but realized that the more they close and reopen, the worse the establishment had become! We went one time after they recently reopened and decided that we will not be returning. My husband despises driving in Memphis but is now willing to DRIVE across the bridge just to get a decent meal. Margaritas good was not as tasteful, the proportion sizes shrunk and the prices INCREASED! I guess the remodeling won't pay for itself! Took them back and they apologized and ok that's fine it happens, so I wait another 5 min for my chicken enchiladas. Well 5 min later they come out and I go to my car to eat them and not only are they "warm" not hot indicative that they didn't even cook a fresh batch for me they must have pre cooked food sitting around. Icing on the cake was the chicken was so tough it was like eating leather, so I had to throw 2/3 of them out and fill up on chips. WOW! This place is outstanding! The food is amazing! We are always wary of Mexican food outside of Texas. Why isn't this restaurant in Texas? We want more! Fresh, crisp chips, fresh made salsa. Their queso was to die for! The entrees: VERY LARGE portions. I got the Pollo Matamoros which was a grilled chicken breast (HUGE), sautéed with onions, mushrooms, and peppers. 12/10/17 After the hustle and bustle of the casino and the food joints Saturday night, I decided to walk over to Las Margaritas , which is just south of track right next to the Days Inn . It wasn't too busy on a Sunday night and I was escorted to a table right away . I ordered the Enchilada Verdes and while I waited snacked on chips and salsa which was fresh and crisp ! The meal itself was great , fresh and flavorful! I almost added another enchilada but Carl said they were pretty good sized to begin with . I'm glad I heeded Carl's tip or it would have been a miserable walk back to the truck being stuffed to the gills if I had had that 4th enchilada!
