Oh hell yes. We found this by accident, because we were in the neighborhood to visit a bakery. But the smell beckoned us. Seriously the best tacos I have tasted in quite some time. Of the three types I tasted, the chorizo was hands-down my favorite. There is a toppings-bar to put your favorite things on your tacos and a few picnic tables outside. Even though it was freezing in the shade on a cool November day, we sat outside and enjoyed our tacos. Don't miss this spot.

I drove over to Las Palmas in Brookline after checking them out on Yelp over and over again. lol the grill and taco station is set up outside of the grocery store. You pay for your food inside (let them know how many tacos you want) and then you go outside and let the cook know which protein(s) you want. I ordered a chorizo, ground beef, and grilled chicken tacos. My favorite was the chorizo by far. It had the most flavor. The sauce/topping bar is a great addition as well. They have little to-go cups in case you need to transport the sauces. Overall it was a great experience and the tacos were delicious!

As fresh and as authentic as it gets. Great food at a great price you can't beat it. Very friendly staff and you can do shop inside the store while you wait for your food. Only con is they have limited supply so once your meat choice is out it's out but that's how good they are that they sell out!!

Pittsburgh is freezing, not exactly the BAHAMAS But it rules when it comes to all its downtown PANORAMAS And it's numero uno when it comes to perfect DAMAS And Friday night fights and all the drunken college DRAMAS But I heard there's a Taco place that's like Tractors to FARMERS More addictive than Denver or Cali's MARIJUANAS So I came here faster than Speedy GONZALEZ Didn't even change, I came here in my PAJAMAS Had to wait in line behind the Padres and the MAMAS Herding round the taco stand like hungry little LLAMAS But I was able to bear it like one of those KOALAS Even though this stand was more packed than that titty BAR WAS Made me feel so drunk, just like 100 Arnold PALMERS Every taste was powerful like Indian MAHARAJAS They said "want some more" and I responded "SI, YAH, MAS!" Best taco in the North East is right here at LAS PALMAS! WHAT! What to get: Rib Eye Taco, Rib Eye Taco, Rib Eye Taco. Why: Because I said so and I know things. Condiments?: Add your own. The salsa will kill you, be careful which ones you put on it. Try the milder ones, if there are any. Plus tons of onions and cilantro. What else: If they don't give me enough I yell "Mas, Pal. Mas!" And get dirty looks. We're still talking about some of the greatest tacos in the history of tacos. This was probably the first time I had this type of big large ribeye taco and I fell madly in love with them - Lomo as they're called by many - and it's easy to see why, considering how utterly delicious they are. Better even than the equivalent in L'Patron of Chicago and other more well-known places. With the ultimate big generous self-service condiment bar and with a vast array of delicious salsas, and with the most succulent amazing ribeye meat and the best savoury large brown tortillas, I've been in love with LP since the first time I tried them. I'm pretty sure I always will be. Just make sure you ask for the ribeye. It's what makes life worth living. To think, the first few times I came I didn't know about the Ribeye, and still loved this place. But once I discovered the Ribeye, there was no going back, nor will there ever be. Long may they be here, doing this. Yes they may be bad for your Palma-nary Artery and yes they are too big to hold in the Palma your hand, but these tacos are literally among the 5 best tacos in the United States. There. I said it. So when I say top 5 tacos in the United States please don't take it lightly. I've tried probably 2,000 taco places in this country (I'm not kidding) and plenty of those were the "top rated" places in one city or another. So I consider myself something of an expert. As much as someone who is not from Mexico can be. And si, I've been to Mexico a bunch too.Yo estoy enamorada con Las Palmas. All the meats are good, some are great, but it's the Rib Eye that is a top 5 taco in the country. It's dramatically superior to any of the others at this stand, or the one in Oakland, or any other rival tacos for hundreds of miles. The next best nearest tacos are the Rib Eye at La Divina in Buffalo (not quite as good), and the Gordita (not really a taco) at Taco Nazo in Columbus. Don't expect it to be like other street tacos you've had. Mexico is vast and has so many different regions which each have many different types of tacos and stands and shops and trucks, and there are so many different ways to do tacos. This place pre-prepares most of the meats en-masse and then dumps them on a large duo of corn tortillas (twice the size of the tacos you're used to, but still only 2 or 3 dollars), and puts nothing at all on them. Then you mosey over to the salsa bar, and add any one of about 10 different salsas and about 10 other different veggie-type condiments. Muy generoso! Be warned. Most of the salsas will blow your head off. If they will blow my head off (and I can take it, believe me), then they may be too much for a lot of you. Ask them which ones are milder for a more gentle experience, both now and when you use the bathroom later. Don't miss the grocery store either. It's adorable and full of cheap, delicious Mexican products, and sometimes hot tamales too! Now it's time for some Madonna: Madonna, "Tacos De Las Palmas" Last night I dreamt of Las Palmas Just like I'd never gone, I ordered one A young guy with Ribeye on the grill It all seems like Mexico to me, not West PA Tropical the Pittsburgh breeze No other tacos as good as these This is where I long to be Tacos De Las Palmas And when there's salsa on I get tingling in my tum It burns my bum and stings my eyes Your Mexican Ribeye Tropical the Pittsburgh breeze All the people Pittsburghese This is where I long to be Tacos De Las Palmas And when the salsa settled I'd run to the loo so fast It burns my bum and stings my eyes Your Mexican Ribeye

On a scale of documentaries to romances, Las Palmas tacos are a spicy, lil documentary to a great taco. Las Palmas is reminiscent of street food with their taco bar on the sidewalk frontage of their grocery store. The tacos are delicious, but the experience is what truly makes it. Order tacos to go or take a seat at the picnic tables. Beware of the salsa! As someone who loves a good kick, I just doused my tacos in multiple salsas...and at least one of those salsas had me crying. If you're not local and you drove over, you can park at the paid parking or just take a turn around the block and park for free.

If your idea of the perfect dinner is tacos with a side of tacos, this place has you covered. Pittsburgh isn't full of drool-worthy taco spots with pulled pork delights and savoury, spicy chicken; but after a quick Yelp check I found this place that hit the spot. They serve Mexican tacos from Lengua, diced beef tongue, to Tinga, a shredded chicken taco marinated in smoked chipotle pepper sauce and tomato. Sop them up on their makeshift table or while enjoying your walk around the Brookline Market. Elotes on the menu would've warranted a 5 star rating. However, you can snag an assortment of grocery items in their storefront.

    Great tasting tacos.

I enjoyed the tacos here at Las Palmas. It is essentially a taco stand. Super simple, no frills stand. You pay inside the store. There was a line inside but it went quick. Then you go to the stand and ask for what you want. My experience at the taco stand was "no comprende Ingles" so take a moment to know what kind of meat you want. I chose both the ribeye and "taco meat", which seemed to be a coarse ground beef. I liked the ribeye better, much more flavor. Once you get your tacos, you add condiments yourself. This might be trial and error because they are not labeled. On my visit, there were multiple salsas. The guacamole was empty, no cheese or lettuce. Don't know if those are ever offered. They have some picnic tables right in front on the sidewalk where you can eat, or eat in your car like I did. Price was awesome. $2.50 per taco is what I paid.

I don't get back to Brookline as often as I would like. Las Palmas is the main reason for visits to this city neighborhood. My goodness the food is so amazing. I seriously cannot get over the delicious tacos. If you want truly authentic tacos this is the place to come.

If you're looking for authentic - come to Las Palmas located in Brookline! It's a supermercado with everything from fresh product to snacks and decor. Located right outside the door is a taco stand that is open from 11am-9pm. The website says 10pm, but they are usually cleaning up by then. For meat eaters, they have a simple menu of tacos or a quesadilla with pollo, bistec, asado, pastor, chorizo, & alambre. For vegetarians, you can order a cheese quesadilla. The fun part is that you get to customize it yourself and build your own taco. Everything is gluten free because it is made with an imported corn shell! Tacos are only $2.50 each! Sodas and beer are available for purchase & outdoor tables are available for seating. These guys are the best! Love this place. Even better than Condado...

Best Taco in Pittsburgh! I tried not to go there in the winter since it is cold to eat outside. Now the weather started to warm up, I'm always going to be there. I like how they do their tortillas and salsa selection. I always go to Steak and pineapple

Started coming here for the tacos like everyone else! But then started to make my own by shopping their grocery section. The prices here are unmatched!! 1lb of chorizo for $4, tortillas for $1, tamales for $2. Only downside is, their produce is hit or miss but I've come to terms with that.

An objectively biased review. The most positively biased review possible. "Oh no", you're thinking, "*Bias*? Not in MY 5-star rating system." It's true. I admit everything. I am biased by how genuinely great Tepache is. By how *good* their chips are--crispy and flaky and perfectly seasoned. By their price-to-portion ratio, which takes me back to The Before Times--before COVID and politics and 6 dollar gas prices. By the quality of everything they serve which I have tried. All of it is top-notch. And by the good people who keep the place running. This is the thing that is biasing my review the most. Tonight, after a Grubhub glitch dropped our order into a wormhole, they were incredibly gracious and kind and offered to make another *and then drove it out to us*. It made our night good and not-hungry instead of bad and hungry, and for that we are beyond grateful. 6/5 stars. No, wait: 7/5.

These tacos are made Mexican style, meaning it comes with onions and cilantro with lime on the side. It also came with a side of grilled onions and potatoes. The potatoes were too soft in my opinion. I think if you were going for grilled side veggies, it's better to make it a tad crispy and browned. For the Taco Tuesday Special, I got the al pastor, steak fajita, and chicken tinga tacos. The best one had to be the al pastor because it wasn't dry and had lots of flavor. I opted for the red morita spicy sauce, and trust it actually has spice and kick to it. The tacos are double layered, which is nice. Decent meal for a Tuesday dinner, their menu is pretty basic for a taco place. For instance, their only dessert is churros with chocolate sauce.

I got the 3 taco meal, soft tortillas and had the ground beef and chorizo, they pack them up all but really all lacking a bit of flavor. I do appreciate the house made bottled hot sauces, helps add flavor to any dish. We wife got the empanada and didn't like it at all.
