I've been going to this restaurant since I was a teenager. The food is delicious and I love the environment. I've never had an issue with the service, and they get your food out to you quickly. Barely deserves a star. Service was nice, they were all polite and quick to give us drinks and chips. The salsa tasted like it was stale and had basil in it?! Cilantro makes sense not basil. I ordered the chicken echiladas. Chicken was okay but the enchilada sauce tasted like the kind that comes from a can, flavorless and just plain red. No spices. The beans were hard. Rice was a poor excuse for mexican rice, it should have just been called white rice! Everything came out barley warm and there was barely any lettuce tomato onions and no quacamole at all on the side. All for over $10?! No thanks. This is Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, and I was just there for takeout. I ordered a Hamburger Deluxe with extra fries for my husband as he hasn't been feeling well, anyway, the young girl said the prices were increased and charged me $10.00. That's outrageous. $10.00 for a hamburger. Now I see on your menu that a Hamburger Deluxe is only $5.25, and extra fries use to be $.50 more. It's just not worth the visit. Very unclean atmosphere with uncomfortable seating and stale air. Poor service while waiting for drinks and food. Food was okay but nothing to go out of your way for. We ordered carne Asada and smothered tamales, both of which had no flavor. Ordered margaritas and server didn't ask frozen or on the rocks, salt or no salt. She immediately said okay and walked away. We wanted to request water but she didn't come back for another 10 minutes. When we were able to order food, as we ordered we started to ask for water but again waitress seemed to be in a hurry not giving us time. Just not worth another visit. read more

This place is a staple in my family. I've been going here since I was a little kid, and the food has always been absolutely fantastic. The service is always friendly and consistent. My favorite item is the steak burrito. The steak is always very well seasoned and tender, and the flavors blend well. My family had been going here for years. Especially after church on Sunday. Unfortunately things have gone south for this place. The son of the owners appears to have taken over, and management does not suit him. Our last and final experience at the establishment was dreadful. incredible slow service. (took almost 20 minutes before we even got chips and a drink order) Food came at 45 minutes and most of our dishes were barely warm. The bottom of my Mexican sandwich was soggy and falling apart. When we got our bill, they had added an automatic 18% tip since he said my two children ages 7 and 5 put us as a table of 6. We have always had the same amount of us and this had never came up before. When we questioned it the owners son became arrogant and quite un pleasant. We will not be back. read more

If based on the food alone I think this place is great! THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE, HOWEVER, STINKS! I just sat waiting for the "manager" for 30 minutes as she was running late and then I was denied a refund for being double charged for a take out order last Friday. They were having computer issues and tried running my card twice. The computer froze both times so they ended up running my card on a different terminal. WELL, two charges went through to my card but since they only show the one they told me I had to contest the charge with my credit card company. Wasted 45 minutes of my day waiting for nothing. I've been going to this place since it opened. The service has really dropped off. I just simply think they don't care anymore. First, we had our orders come out at different times. So half the table got their food while the other half waited another five minutes. Keep in mind we are only a party of four! Anyway, when my enchiladas finally came they were stone cold in the middle. So I had to wait another 10 minutes to find someone to flag down and ask them to nuke my food longer. The food taste was just meh and the red chili was not rich in flavor. I mean the taco house has a better red sauce. I'm sorry, if I want bad food like this I'd rather go to Casa Bonita! After ordering and waiting for over 45 minutes for our food to make an appearance our server showed up to the table and auctioned off our food. "I have a #6 here". Last I checked none of us were on the schedule to work tonight! Not all of our food came out on time or was right. Now let's chat food here. Being a Colorado native I am accustomed to good green chili. This place has hands down the WORST green chili. It's bland and watered down as is most of their dishes. I'm fairly confident that I've had better"Mexican" food at Taco Hell. In case your wondering we're still here waiting for the bill at a nasty, dirty table that hasn't been bussed. Our last visit 2 weeks ago our food was cold, my daughter order a green chile plant with rice instead of potatoes and was given rice and potatoes with no beans. Also she was to get tortillas and they were not delivered. Asked waitress about tortillas she said she bring them but were never received. I ordered the cheese enchilada, beef burrito, chile rellano plate with the hot sauce and it was quite tasty. They have some of the best crispy chile rellanos in town. The only down side is the parking area is small and on a busy Saturday it is hard to get out of the parking space. read more

The top shelf Margarita kicked Ass. Definitely worth the extra $1.50. The chips and salsa were better than the food on both of my visits here. The service was slow both times as well. I am new to the area, so met some friends up there. They told me the server ALWAYS messes up their order or just plain forgets about them. :-( Not really sure how to rate that. My family and I ate here for the first time last week. The food was good the service was great! There was a little play area so our little guy could get up and walk around a little bit. We eat here fairly often. Food is good and servers are friendly. One draw back is it is not uncommon for the server to remove your plates and ask if you would like anything else. Then wait at least 10 minutes to deliver your bill. read more

My husband and I "USED" to love to eat there and would go at least once a week but last night we had the worse service ever and the sad part is that the staff didn't even seem to care. It took forever to get service and we only got service after I went and said something to a staff member. Waters never got rfilled took almost 45 minutes to get food and then additional 25 minutes to get out take out order. Service has definitely changed at this place. Used to be friendly and cordial with the staff knowing you and some of your preferences. On a thursday night it was very busy and the staff was overwhelmed to where they treated their repeat customers with the "oh well, they will get over this slow service for tonight." Management does not adjust to customer demands and operates the dive with a skeleton crew and a teenager at the front desk.... very mom and pop like shop. When asked how my meal was and I described a very bad experience, the cashier told me there was "nothing she could do about it" and then wnet right to the next customer please! we went in on New Years day, not very busy yet we waited for 30 minutes for our order to be taken,, well could have been longer but we got up and left - I went to the cashier to pay for our pops and she just went through the mail, knew we were standing there but opted to instead continue with the mail, so after a bit we just walked out. My mother and I ate her last night. Upon finishing our dinner (which was very good), we both sat back in the booth and were visiting when my mother looked down and noticed all of the crusty, dirty filth caked onto the side of the table. I looked and sure enough it was on my side as well. After just finishing our meal it made us both feel sick to our stomachs. We attempted to tell our waitress about it, but she didn't speak much English, and didn't seem to care. We then got the attention of another waitress (whom I have seen there over many years), she to just blew it off and said she would have them clean it NEXT WEEK. Everyone's lack of concern, and because they didn't even apologize had me quite upset. I decided to give it one more shot when I paid the bill. The young man at rhe register asked how everything was, I told him the food was great but the side of the tables were disgustingly dirty.
