Amazing! Perfection! Located in a strip mall in Northglenn. It's a small little shop, but has several tables and a bar that can seat 8. It's not just good, it's terrific. Shrimp tacos are a must to order here. I don't know how they do it, but the tacos are just indescribably good. Carna asada tacos are also a great choice that pair well with the chips and salsa--homemade of course. I didn't order my own drink, but had a taste of my friend's. I can attest to the statement that yes, the drinks are good and very well concocted. Our server was new and was very sweet and attentive. Will 100% go back for another hit of great food!

Food was out-of-this-world tasty and service was quick and friendly. Would 100% recommend for a casual night out.

Yummy food, nice service, cool atmosphere- well definitely visit again next time we're up north. I had a jicama aguas frescas. It was perfect- not too sweet and extremely refreshing. My husband had a beer (he was going to order a large but noticed that the small is cheaper if you're planning to get 2 or more). We split the chicken fajitas. They were on the smaller side but it was a good amount of food for both of us to eat without leftovers or overeating. The chips and salsa were good too- warm chips and spicy-ish salsa.

What a little gem in Northglenn! From the personable service to the handcrafted cocktails to the delicious variety of tacos--run, don't walk to Itacate. Located in a strip mall off 104th Ave, this place is easy to miss. A bright neon sign, "Canta y No Llores," lets you know you will be taken care of. The Mi Viejo Margarita was perfect. You can alter the sweetness to your preference, and it is made to order with blanco tequila, Grand Marnier, and freshly squeezed lime. The salsa with the chips is full of flavor and the perfect consistency to adorn your chips. Tacos--yum! I tried the birria and the fish taco. Both were excellent with amazing spices. I wish it were closer, but I will definitely return.

The food was so flavorful and had good sized portions. They didn't shy away from loading up the meat in a 3 versions of the tacos. We also ordered the queso fundido with chorizo and that was good. We requested the table salsa to be heated and also did that for us. I would highly recommend this restaurant and we will be back! Our waitress Jeannette was spot on with her recommendations

Still love the decor, and the service was very friendly and on top of it today during a weekday lunch! They even split the burrito on two plates so we could easily share it. We got the cochi-burrito. It was a huge burrito filled with cochinital pibil, similar to the tacos we had last time. Be warned, it is spicy! So spicy it made my nose run, but you could still taste all the seasonings, including something that tasted a little like bbq. It was served with a green creamy salsa and a chipotle creamy salsa- both excellent. This is not the cheapest place in the area, but it is the most delicious by far. Highly highly recommend.

The food is amazing. Service is excellent. Ingredients are so fresh. I wish I lived closer because this would be me regular place.

The decor is nice when you walk in and there's a lot of seating in a small space, but it still didn't feel crowded. Our waitress was really nice. They had a pretty good selection for the menu. I got the Alambres and it was tasty. My friend got the chicken fajitas. They actually seem like the same dish except for different meat. But both were good as she let me try hers. Prices were OK and not too expensive. I also got an Horchata and they serve it in a huge class so you definitely get enough to drink.

Do not bother, this place is not good. Food is "fast food" quality and the people who work there are never around.

We made our reservation for 5:30PM and showed up at 5:05... glad they were able to seat us at 5:20 even though the restaurant was not busy and had many open tables. Maybe they were staggering for kitchen staff reasons. Marcos was very attentive and made tremendous amount of amazing recommendations. All of us decided to order the short rib from the prix fix menu and we all ordered some sides. We got the French onion soup, the bread pudding and the key lime pie. Also shared some mushrooms, asparagus and creamed spinach. The short ribs was very tender, the key lime pie was perfectly tart and sweet, the bread pudding is a little bit on the harder side as it came in a cast iron dish like a cookie... but the flavor was amazing and tasty w the vanilla ice cream. All in all we had a great time with our girls date after we saw a musical and really helped us wrapped up the day so sweetly. Thanks Marcos and team!

I was excited to take my friends here who were visiting from out of town. It had great reviews and…read moresaid it was child friendly which was a must as a single parent. We arrived and the hostess took 10 minutes to even acknowledge we were there then said she needed more time to clean off some tables which she did very slowly. She then said she would seat the 4 of us at a 2 top with a high chair. She told us to wait until the table was ready. They set the table and brought over a high chair and then suddenly took the high chair away. In true "see you next Tuesday form" the hostess did not say anything to us and instead sat another couple who had just walked into the restaurant. They still said nothing to us until I walked over to the host stand and then blurted out that the couple they sat had been waiting before us for 50 minutes but got "lost in the system". Mind you, the couple had not been in there at all when we got there and we were told we would have the table. I am sure that we were profiled because we had a toddler with us and they decided to seat others in our place that they had set up for us. Not only that, but nobody ever came to talk to us and inform us about what happened. And then to top it off they told us we could order to go and sit in the lobby of the Meridian. Their behavior and attitudes were absolutely atrocious and definitely discriminatory based on us trying to bring a child during happy hour (before dinner seating had even opened). 0/10 do not go here if you enjoy polite hosts and wait staff and are looking for a family friendly establishment. The hotel lobby bar was everything Corinne was not. The bartenders and servers were friendly, food was delicious, and service was fast. They saved our evening which Corinne had done everything to ruin.

Location (4 stars) This restaurant is downtown near the convention center. parking is pricy if you valet park at the hotel. Last year it was around $40. Parking in the lot across the street for $25 dollars Easter Sunday. If you use a walker, I would not recommend the parking lot across the street. Food (3 Stars) The Thanksgiving buffet is the best one. I would rate that buffet a (4). The Christmas and Easter buffet are pretty low key. There is a carving station (ham and prime rib). There is an omelet station. Dessert bar is decorative. Cheesecake was delicious. The warming station with potatoes, sausage etc. leaves much to be desired. The charcuterie station is sparse. They offer unlimited mimosas for an additional $25. Service (5 stars) Staff are extremely friendly. Cleanliness (2 stars) My only complaint, I saw a tabletop being cleaned off with a rag used to clean the chairs and then under the table on the floor and on to the next tabletop. I'm just a little picky about that. Especially since folks these days go commando and wear short attire, and you know their parts are on the chair and now spread to tabletops. Wiping up the crumbs off the floor with same rag simply through me over the edge. Atmosphere (4 stars) Spacious uncrowded environment. Nice decor. Bright with large windows.

During the last few Denver Restaurant Week events, I've tried to take the offerings as an…read moreopportunity to sample restaurants that I haven't tried, or otherwise may not try, and see if I can add to my list of favorites. I saw Former Saint on CBS News, and the menu and food looked incredible. In particular, that white chocolate blueberry cheesecake was something I know my hubby would look forward to all week! I loved the idea of local food and fresh homemade dishes. Sounds healthy, after a week of potential over-indulgence at other restaurant week venues. An additional bonus was that it is located right near the Denver Convention Center and the Performing Arts Center. This has become a dry spot for fine dining, with even the choices on Larimer Square growing more thin, giving rise to the inability to get reservations at favorites like Tamayo and Rioja prior to a show. I go to performances frequently with friends, and despite my rule to avoid hotel restaurants (Former Saint is in the Hyatt Regency), I thought I'd scope out Former Saint as a place to take my friends before the next symphony or Children's Chorale or ballet or broadway performance. I must say, the jury is still out. Former Saint was a Jekyll and Hyde of courses. Parking was not difficult (Yay, maybe I can park here prior to my shows, if I grab a bite first). There is a large garage, and the promise of validation from the restaurant. The ambiance of the restaurant is typical hotel restaurant. Booths, tables, old and a bit drab. Except for the bar. Oh, my! The bar has this BEAUTIFUL copper creation above it, adding so much industrial character to the space! I was in awe looking at it, as it appeared to bring craft suds to the bartender's taps. I didn't ask how it worked, as it wasn't clear how the beer separation and dispensing worked, but it was a great centerpiece and spectacle for the place. I do wish I had investigated more about this architectural marvel, and will do so if I return. For restaurant week, my husband chose the Lobster Ravioli, Ribeye, and blueberry cheesecake (as predicted). I chose the Gotham salad, roasted chicken, and key lime tart. The lobster ravioli was nice; my husband was surprised that it was a toasted ravioli, but enjoyed it. My salad was full of beautiful greens, pears, walnuts, and feta. No scrimping here! The dressing was light and sweet/sour. The pears were a bit unripe and crisp, to the point that I was having trouble identifying exactly what fruit I was eating, but other than that, the salad was beautiful, healthy, and ample. My husband's ribeye steak was a nice cut, done to his liking. Slivered hash browns were underneath with a nice green chimichurri on top and some sliced Fresnos adding a welcome kick to the dish. My chicken was delightful. 1/2 chicken on the bone, seasoned nicely, and with a pan sauce. The breast was super-tender and delicious. It came atop cheesy grits, which was a yummy substitute for a mashed potato. I also was served side salad of curly lettuce and fennel. I probably didn't need more salad, but I was glad to have the healthy side on my plate. I will say that this salad was over-seasoned. The chicken and grits were great, but the salad too salty. My husband ordered a glass of J. Lohr Cabernet, which was a very nice find on the wine list, as far as a pairing for his ribeye. That said, the glass cost $30! A bit much, I might say. The real detractor, unfortunately, was dessert. The blueberry cheesecake looked nothing like the beautiful creamy white cheesecake accented throughout by purple blueberries, which I saw on the CBS News clip. My husband was served a very small solid purple slice, overcome with whipped cream dollops. This cheesecake had been uncovered in the fridge too long, with sort of a skin on it. My husband ate almost none of it. My key lime tart was similarly over-adorned with whipped cream, although I had some nice raspberries on top. The tart also seemed overexposed to the cool air, with the thickening of a skin on top. It was a very disappointing way to end a nice meal, and belied the healthy, homemade, craft theme. High points of this experience include the well-crafted and healthy entrees, the fact that we could see the convention center right outside our window (i.e., the location is perfect for pre-event or -theater), the $3.00 validated parking fee, and that beautiful copper tap system. Will the pros outweigh the cons? Will we be back with friends? Time will tell.

Laid back vibe and welcoming staff. Nothing pretentious at all. The bartenders were knowledgeable and gave great suggestions. Always stayed on top of my drinks. The thing I like most about Death & Co is the way the categorize their drinks: Light and playful, bright and confident, elegant and timeless, boozy and honest, and rich and comforting. I had the aqua profunda (cognac, St. George basil eau di vie, lillet rose, strawberry, lime, and absinthe). I also had the eight limb daiquiri (rum, Canada aguardiente, Thai tea cordial, lime leaf, and Maraschino). The Blood Oath (mezcal, Vecchio del capo, Calabrian chili amaro, St. Germain Elderflower, lavender, honey, lemon). All were complex and delicious.
