Perdida is an absolute gem! 5 stars all the way. This is our second visit in a short span of time. The outside covered patio, surrounded by gorgeous greenery, is a soothing and welcome break after a hard day at work. The decor throughout the restaurant is stunning. The food is amazingly delicious. Fresh salsa and homemade chips kick off a wide array of elevated Mexican dishes. We absolutely love the Chicken Tinga with jalapeño cream sauce, and the mini rellenos--served with their own special dipping sauce--are not to be missed. They've officially become my new favorite. The food had good flavor overall, but unfortunately, the majority of our dishes came out cold. I ordered the carne asada, 8 oz grilled steak and cheese enchilada, along with rice and beans. The service was friendly, although our server did make a mistake with our order. The restaurant itself has pretty, modern decor and was fairly busy on the weekend, so I wouldn't expect especially fast service on busier days. I enjoyed the Coco No Loco drink. It definitely gave tropical vacation vibes. The other dish I enjoyed was the birria fries, particularly the birria itself. The fries were a little unusual. We came in for date night and it completely derailed, which should've been a great evening from the start. The timing was a mess our way to arrive late apologize for not seeing us and immediately admitted he forgot our waters. When we ordered our drinks, we were told they had a full bar bu somehow couldn't make a strawberry margarita, which was odd. So, we ordered a Coke and a beer instead the Coke showed up about 10 minutes later the beer did not. About 15 minutes after that he came back asking if we need anything and we had to remind him about the beer as well as ask for our chips and salsa. He disappeared again and then several minutes later showed up with a half bowl of chips and salsa and finally the beer arrived. After waiting around again, he came back to take our dinner order. We ordered a starter the ceviche - - but it never came. He stopped by to ask if everything was OK and see if we needed anything else, and we had to remind him that we're still waiting on the starter. He apologized and said he forgot to order it. He then told us he'd put it in and delay our entrées. Shortly after he returned again to say "I know why I forgot to order your starter- - it's because we're out of it "seriously I couldn't even make this up how bad things were going. It was clear this person was very forgetful and very scattered. We could only imagine what the rest of the night would turn out like it gets worse. The manager came over to apologize and told us that they actually did have the ceviche and can bring it out if we still wanted it. At that point, I mentioned we had already been sitting so long that our dinner should be coming any minute, I also explained the service issue up to that point and he was apologetic. We decided to wait for dinner which he said should arrive shortly so I ordered another beer, thinking the food was on the way. Our meals finally arrived about 45 minutes after we ordered and I was still waiting on that beer. It only showed up after reminded the waiter again by which point I was already halfway through my meal. Our original waiter, then left for the night and a new one came over to do some south and take over we finished eating and then waited 20 minutes before you had another waiter came by to ask if we were finished and if we needed anything else. At that point, the only thing I wanted was to leave. I honestly couldn't make up how disorganized and frustrating the service was. We've arrived around seven and by the time our food came out, most of the restaurant was empty, so it was unclear why everything took so long. The most surprising part was that we never saw the manager again after his initial apology. He didn't check back in to see if things improved or follow up in anyway. It gave the impression that the apology was more of a formality than genuine concern for our experience. I'd hope the food might make up for the service, but that wasn't the case either my plate came with a huge handful of lettuce a very small portion of white rice, half a bowl of beans and two very thin enchiladas for over $20 with the other meals and drinks a total bill at close to $100, makes it hard for me to want to return. Overall the service turned what had hoped would've been a great date night into a very disappointing drawn out experience. There were multiple opportunities throughout the evening where things could've been turned around, but because the overall experience was so bad and everything really fall short of basic standard expectations makes it hard to want to return to a place like this. read more

Came here on a Monday evening during the dinner crowd and it was not busy at all. Really nice dining area with plenty of space to move around. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Food came fast after we ordered and it wasnt too bad. My girl and I shared a birria bowl and street corn. It was delicious. We originally tried Perdida through Door Dash and the experience was not good but the GM did send me two GC's which when we tried to use them didn't work. We tried it a second time and the food was very good. We then decided to take my father there for his birthday this past weekend. We sat on the patio which was very nice. The service was very good and professional . The food was delicious and fresh . I had the Carne Asada which I recommend but the only drawback was the enchilada was undercooked because the cheese didn't melt. They have a beautiful bar and I would like to go back for Margs. We love Homegrown Tap and Dough which is adjoining and owned by the same group. We will be back . read more

Perdida Westminster is a spot working on itself. First, the food is quite good. We had quesadillas, fajitas (steak and chicken) tortilla soup, chips and trio of salsas. All were flavorful and we enjoyed our dishes (though fajitas were short on amount of veggies and protein). Drinks were disappointing. Zero proof London lavender, and classic margaritas had so much ice you could barely get to the liquid. For the price, they were sorely lacking. The service is difficult to describe. It was slooooow. But everyone working was working hard and moving fast. It took 25 minutes from when we sat down to get our drink order. Then another 20 to be able to order. There were five of us. Two got their dinners 45 minutes after ordering, and it was over 20 minutes before the rest of us got our meals. By then the first served food was cold. We talked to the manager who was apologetic and offered to comp a dessert which we appreciated, but it took 2 1/2 hours from start to finish and that reflects poor staff or poor kitchen management. Our reservation was for 5:15 and it was not busy. By the time we left it was packed. I hope they get this figured out as again the food was good and the wait staff were competent and friendly. read more

The Coco-Loco was the perfect balance of sweet and tangy,cold, vibrant, and so satisfying. The ceviche stole the show as my personal favorite. The fish taco was also delicious,fresh and full of flavor. The street corn was tasty, though the pickled onions were a bit strong for my taste, I'd ask for them on the side next time. Big margaritas + the indoor/outdoor space makes this a go-to spot for me. We especially enjoy sitting on the patio for lunch on a warm day. The first time dining here, our server informed us their food is Baja-style, with a strong focus on flavor, and the food really is delicious! We've sampled many items on the menu but our favorites are the birria tacos and fried fish baja tacos. The baja trio is nice since you get a sampler of guac, queso and salsa. For starters, the building is beautiful! From the seating at the entrance to the tables in the back. Excellent use of space and design. It's tucked away in a business park area, so it can be lively without an issue with residential neighbors. Or server was the absolute best! They were attentive, funny, engaging, and thorough. Made great suggestions for food and drink! The other star of the show was the food! Our carnitas fajitas were crispy, tender, and the onions were deliciously carmelized! That sizzling plate was amazing. I think the should include limes to squeeze onto the fajitas to blend in, but that's a minor issue. In short, fabulous experience all around! I love the Thornton/Westminster/Broomfield areas getting popular Denver based restaurants opening their second/third locations up north, so I was really excited to see Perdida making its way up here. The food is good, not phenomenal but solid. (Skinny) Margarita, same. Service was good - and the vibe was pretty spectacular. Calm, not too dimly lit but lit enough - loud(ish) but it's an open space on a busy Saturday night so what do you expect? The location is reasonably appointed and appears appealing. However, the food nor the interactions were to our liking. Basically, we were told the more casual sister restaurant would be more fitting for us!!!! Had it not been for the sprinkler housing falling from the ceiling and hitting me in the head, I doubt they would have properly addressed the situation. I did not expect to be comped however nor did they inquire as to if I was ok from the impact of their falling decor. Prior to that, they had dismissed our comments stating they are more "coastal " or "Baja" and perhaps their location was just not our cup of tea. One star deducted merely for the patio (which is large) but not being pet friendly. Such a bummer!! We came for lunch and luckily it wasn't too busy. We were seated promptly on the patio. We ordered drinks, chips, and the fajitas to share. All the food was delicious and I enjoyed my margarita. We had to kind of hunt down help for some items we needed at times. It unfortunately ended up being our server was bogged up by a party splitting there bill what looked to be 8 ways. Perdida is a pretty good upscale Mexican restaurant. We found this to be a cool location with a great atmosphere. All of the staff were friendly and we were greeted when we walked in. We started off with a few appetizers, the mini chile rellenos were good, 6.8/10 filled with lots of cheese. The Crispy fried shrimp is a real winner, great sauce and flavor 8.5/10. We also tried the jalapeño Cesar, which was decent, a little on the plain side 6.5/10. For entrees we had the Perdida special which had a chicken enchilada 6/10, carnitas (a little dry) but good flavor and spice 6/10 and a birra taco which was a little flavorless and the dipping sauce was full 4.5/10. For the other entree, we had the carne asada, fairly straight forward. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare, it was lacking flavor and left some to be desired 6.3/10. The rice and beans were very good 7.5/10. To end our meal we had the churros, without sugar, they were alright, a little dry 5/10. We found this spot to be good and we would come back. For two of us our bill was $140 with tip with no drinks. I honestly wish they had more options or the ability to add tacos or other items ala carte. It looks like they had a good drink menu. The signs all pointed to one door that was locked 2 hours before closing time. Food was good. I got the shrimp and the Baja fish tacos. Shrimp was mid, Fish was good. We enjoyed tacos and guacamole. My biggest complaint is that their cilantro lime rice has butter and their only non dairy option was to serve me double the beans. My friend said the rice did not need the butter as that is all she tasted. The service was great, various servers checked on us often. I'm not sure how people find this place, hence the name, maybe? Absolutely amazing place. My wife and I tried this place for the first time by checking into the useful reviews on yelp. Thank you yelpers for finding this place for us. The host, Jay, was awesome and turns out from the same area of Illinois that we came from recently had a nice conversation as he seated us. He told us about the fusion type menu and offered a suggestion of the trio appetizer, which we found to be absolutely delicious couldn't stop eating The three different types of dip. The meal in itself was some of the best flavors I've had since moving to the area a few weeks back. Maddie, our waitress was amazing and very, very helpful as to picking our main entrées since they all looked so good and making my decision harder than it had to be. The espresso martini was different in a good way, and in a way almost tasted like a chocolate shake, but had a kick to it. I had to make sure my wife was driving home after two of those puppies. We enjoyed our food but the portions are very small. I'm giving it 4 stars for the atmosphere and the fact that the food did taste good but I doubt we will go back.
