Carne asada is Carne Quemada I asked for medium rare. This is burnt to a crisp. Why bother eating! Seriously

So in my mind im part latina And its my mission to eat all the types of spanish/latin/mexican cuisine. Dont judge me. So i had my first taste of El Salvadorian food! So freaking good! I had the Cheese Pupusas with rice and beans! AMAZING! But the best part to me was the slaw and red sauce! Its really made the meal. I wish they were open today b/c i would go for lunch. Ill go tomorrow ‍ Also keep in mind this is truly a hole in the wall so dont expect too much. Just know ya food gon slap Also i live about 25 min away from the restaurant and my food was still smokin hot when i got home. My pic isnt the best.. i had already started devouring it.

    3 Pork Pupusas to go

Las Pupusas has decent pupusas and I wouldn't recommend the horchata. But the cabbage salad that comes with the pupusas was great! I loved how each one was made to order. I only tried the pork version so that may have been my downfall. It only lacked some flavor. The All cheese Or frijoles pupusas would've been better. I ordered 3 which was more than enough, I had one left over. Best to heat them in the oven or a toaster oven. There was a beef stew that I felt I should've tried because the entire restaurant was eating that lunch special. The location is very easy to access. I will be back to try the other varieties.

Still the best pupusa's in Charlotte. Outside not to dry and as you see the cheese is gooey. The tomatoe based sauce is great. They also have a green sauce you should Definitely try..

Fresh and delicious food, friendly staff and prompt service. Drove for 15 minutes from my hotel and it was well worth it!

Place it's not very nice but pupusas were fresh and tasty. Tamarindo juice is from powder and it tastes awful.

Pupusas are great... But the juices disgusting. I had a pineapple and my friend horchata and both of them were literally water.

We waited for a while, but no one came over or explained where we should sit. Eventually, I went to the register and told the waitress that it was our first time there and asked if we could sit anywhere or if there was a specific process we needed to follow. She acted as though she did not speak English, which made the interaction uncomfortable. However, when I went to pay our bill later, she spoke English very clearly. Throughout our entire visit, she never introduced herself, checked on us, or offered us drink refills. What was especially disappointing was feeling as though we were being treated differently because of our appearance. I am from Brazil, and I know that if someone visits a Brazilian restaurant or business, we would make an effort to welcome and assist them regardless of their background or the language they speak. I can speak some Spanish and understand it when spoken, but I should not be expected to speak Spanish simply because I may look Hispanic. The one positive interaction we had was with the gentleman who brought our food. He was very kind, friendly, and welcoming. Overall, we felt invisible for most of our visit. The food was excellent, and we would recommend it based on the food alone, but the customer service definitely needs to be addressed. Every customer deserves to feel welcomed, respected, and treated equally, regardless of their appearance or language.

The restaurant has both takeout and dine in options. There is plenty of seating both in the front and rear of the restaurant. They have all your typical Salvadorean staples like the famous Pupusas as well as yuca con chicharrón. The typical breakfast dishes are also great. You can't go wrong with any of their dishes. However I suggest you dine in and have some fresh made pupusas revueltas. They are basically tortillas stuffed with Mozzarella cheese and grounded pork. You can also get them with just cheese or just pork. For a cold drink try the Horchata, it's made from a grounded down seed. For a hot drink try the Atol de Elote, made from corn.....deliciously smooth and velvety. The bakery has typical cookies and sweet breads, they are all on display for you to pick and choose. The store has candies, chips, medicine, arts and crafts & shirts all imported from El Salvador. If your missing home this place will take you back. If you want the Salvadorean experience than you have come to the right place! The staff is friendly and efficient, place is casual and laid back. Food is cooked fresh so you may wait a little, be patient. If in Charlotte stop by and get a little taste of my country you most definitely will not be disappointed!
