Last time I went here I stood at the checkout for 20 minutes waiting for an employee to take my order while they all just stood in the back of the kitchen staring at me. Finally someone came out to tell me that they were on break and I would have to come back later. If you are going to completely shut down in the middle of the day for lunch, then fine, but you have to post some kind of sign so that people know the restaurant is closed. On top of this, they took out the toppings bar, which was really the only thing that made this place good (considering the chicken tacos are inedible without the toppings). Now, you have to ask the very rude employees for toppings if you don't want to eat your food completely plain. (Good luck with that by the way. Every time I ask for toppings you'd think I just told them to drop what they're doing to run a 5k. They really hate doing their job that much). When they do give you toppings, it comes in a super small container that doesn't even provide enough for one taco. They also refuse to give you more than two containers of toppings, so if you are ordering a full meal (like three tacos w/ a side of rice), you are pretty much guaranteed be eating it plain. It's really a shame because this was the last half way decent Tacos el Cunado left in GR. Unfortunately, we'll have to find somewhere else now.

While traveling through the area, we stopped in for a meal and I happened to be carrying cash from a day of antique shopping. After leaving town, I reached into my pocket and realized $179 was missing. We called the restaurant, and they checked the booth and found that exact amount. They safely held the money in the register until we returned to pick it up. When I tried to offer a reward for their honesty, they kindly refused. The integrity and character of this staff is something you don't see often, and it left a lasting impression on us. Thank you for being good people! And the food was good too :)
