I gave this place a chance because I got a really good deal and my daughter can workout for free…read moreduring the summer. But the 1 is for a few reasons. 1. This place needs better ventilation. With the giant fans you'd think there's better air circulation. The number of people in and out of here doesn't help. It's hard to breathe deeply when the air doesn't feel clean. 2. I've had my membership for about 3yr and there's never 100% of the machines working. This week (spring break) I counted 6 machines out of service. I don't know how long the signs have been there or how long I have to wait for the repairs, but that's ridiculous. 3. After a workout, I look forward to the cryo chair perk. I pay EXTRA $ to use this perk and either the attendant forgets to start my machine or it stops in the middle of a session. But 7/10 time it is a disappointment and hardly relaxing. Planet fitness, get it together!

She also walked me through the locker area, explained where to throw all use gloves and towels after class, and pointed out exactly where I'd be during the session. I really liked how the benches and bags are numbered--it made it super easy to find my spot. The music during class was amazing and kept my energy up the whole time. The instructor was fantastic--very engaging and attentive. He even came by to correct my form and help improve my hits. The classes are fast-paced and some prior knowledge in boxing as well as understanding of basic punches did help me keep up to pace, however Arnie the instructor does circle around in class and will take time to help correct your movements to make sure you're doing them right. The energy and the music during these classes are always on point and I always leave getting a great workout in. Good way to get the heart rate up through HIIT cardio and a fun class to implement in my training program.

At one point she mentioned grip strength and I instantly thought, "Okay yeah, this is my kind of class." Trying a new studio can feel intimidating, but this one felt welcoming, encouraging, and motivating from start to finish. A lot of places made me feel judged, out of place, or too intimidated to ask questions. I was always the guy dressed in all black, headphones on, head down, trying not to be noticed while just surviving the workout and leaving. But somehow, in only a month, FitClub completely changed that for me. Ryan, Jessie, Felipe (my amazing trainer), Jacob... thank you. Seriously. You guys created an environment that feels human. Real. Supportive. I've gone from hiding in the corner to actually laughing, having conversations, showing up in bright colors, and feeling like I belong there. That may sound small to some people, but for someone like me, it's honestly a huge deal. People underestimate how powerful a gym environment can be. A good gym doesn't just change your body. It changes the way you see yourself. And for the first time in a long time, I'm starting to feel confident walking into a space instead of ashamed. FitClub isn't just a gym to me anymore.
