The main pool has cabanas for rent, an infinity edge overlooking the beach and ocean, a swim up bar and restaurant, and poolside service for food ad drinks. Diego was especially helpful. Lena restaurant has a swim up bar in the main pool and their menu includes pizza, sandwiches salads, and tacos. The family pool also has poolside service for food and drinks. Shout out to Fidel and Angel for their excellent service! The family pool is near the kiddie pool and play area which has a water system kids can run through and a small water slide. Mio restaurant is on it's own small pool with an infinity edge and beautiful view. Mio menu includes sushi, noodle dishes, pad Thai, and poke, all of which were excellent. We had several dinners at the Sotol restaurant off the lobby. Their menu includes tacos, steak quesadillas, and pasta dishes. Bartender/server Jesus provided great friendly service and made us feel cared for each night when we stopped by for after dinner drinks. Talavera restaurant is where the huge breakfast buffet was each morning, offering a very affordable continental breakfast, or a full breakfast. We found the continental offered more than enough options to satisfy us with lots of great choices including oatmeal with an array of toppings, granola and other cereals, about 20 different types of pastries/breads each day, and a fresh fruit bar. The full breakfast also offered meats, cheeses, custom made breakfast tacos, breakfast cocktails, and a smoothie bar. There's also Los Arcos Roasting Company coffee shop off the lobby, and Starbucks coffee and ice cream available in the Dulce shop near the family pool. This Hilton also has a doctor onsite 24 hours a day. This was a relief to us as one member of our family had an ear ache. The doctor did an exam and diagnosed an ear infection and provided the antibiotics right then and there. The doctor had her come back in the next day for a follow-up and the infection cleared up. Aside from this dining option, I highly recommend Vela for a romantic evening near the pool, enjoying Italian-influenced seafood, pastas, and meats paired with some eclectic Mexican wines that thrill one's palate. The morning breakfast buffet is quite enjoyable as well, offering Western and Mexican options along with fresh fruits, vegetables, breads, and juices, providing the perfect beginning to a sunny tropical day. Last but not least among the property's treasures are the expansive rooms overlooking the ocean, the numerous shops, and the amazing indoor/outdoor gym with state-of-the-art equipment. Some of the less attractive things about the hotel are the weak, expensive cocktails served poolside, beachside, and everywhere, with prices consistent across all venues and flavors and alcohol content very watered down. Talavera Bar is the only difference. Another notable matter is the 15% service charge on everything! And you find yourself tipping on top of the service charge! As a Diamond member, I receive a complimentary breakfast for two each day, but I was billed $12 service charge and a tip each morning. I would still recommend this hotel as a vacation destination for its beauty, tranquility, and comfortable suites.

Cute... but watered down as heck. Thankfully, we're seasoned all-inclusive people, so we skipped the games and ordered double shots of tequila. The pool is only about 4 1/2 feet deep, and after enough doubles, I'm proud to report that I did not drown. The beach is absolutely stunning, but Mother Nature said, "Look, don't touch." The waves are no joke, so the beach is closed for swimming. Service was amazing everywhere we went. Some of the food had us saying, "ehhhhhhhh..." Overall, it was quiet, romantic, adults-only, and worth every penny. We'd book it again in a heartbeat.

After a pool-side lunch on property our first full day (we arrived the afternoon prior), my friend and I both became violently ill within a few hours. Not long after, we were in the ER, then admitted to the ICU of a local hospital for two nights and three days. The resort doctor and staff were fully aware of our illness and hospitalization throughout. The fallout: we had to extend our room by two nights, rebook flights and airport transfers, and my brother flew down last-minute to help us get home, adding his own flight, room, and transfer costs. Our total trip cost nearly doubled. The resort's entire response was one phone call asking if we needed anything. At checkout, there was nothing. No apology, no acknowledgment, no offer of a discount or refund. We've both since required a week off work to recover, and my brother lost several work days too. Beautiful property, but deeply disappointing hospitality or care for their guests when it actually mattered. The restaurant variety was very nice and the food was always delicious. We tried to eat family style at every restaurant we visited so that we would all get a taste of each menu item. The pool area is refreshing and a great place to catch a tan, not a lot of shade unless you're at the pool bar or a chair with umbrella/cabana. The beach area is lovely, also lacking shade unless you grab a beach side cabana, although we never had trouble finding a few free ones. The ocean here is brutal, even at this "only swimmable beach" in Cabo. My 6'5/300lbs husband and other friends were getting tossed around. There's a spa that definitely has some high priced services, but as a reserve member we were able to use the spa sauna, steam room, and pool area with a reservation. Pros/Positives of Paradisus: Great food, wonderful, caring and kind staff members, very enjoyable amenities, a wonderful place to relax. Adults only. Cons/Negatives: Not made for partying, this is a resort made for adult relaxation. Pros of booking Reserve: more access to exclusive lounge and restaurant areas, a personal concierge to guide you, more amenities open to you as well and a private pool area just for reserve members. Cons of booking reserve: Not everything is free with the upgrade. All restaurants still had menu items at an additional cost, even for Reserve members. Personal shout outs: Our concierge Adalberto was very caring and helpful, we appreciated his assistance with reservations and booking a spa date! Pool area staff: Thòmas was very kind and helped me make sure my reserved cabana was near other cabanas in our group. We had great conversations and he was so helpful. Entertainment/Activity staff: Miguel, Enrique, and Victor were so fun and made the pool area my group's favorite hangout area. 2 men from our group won a football AND a fútbol competition at the pool, and these guys kept everything under control for the games and activities. If my husband and I look for another all inclusive resort, this one will definitely be a possible return trip!

Upon arriving Jared took care of us and took no more than five minutes to get our vacation started -as our welcome drinks started flowing. Esteban was our orientation guy. He took care of us the whole week for our dinner reservations restaurant and Bali beds (by the pools) Kevin was in charge of getting our favorite bali bed every day! Our pool service was extremely efficient. We had Jasmine (aka Jazzy) and beware: Angel and Pablo are mind readers...these boys brought our drinks and snacks before even us asking! They kept us hydrated! The resort was clean and updated on some areas. Bathroom were clean and updated specially those in the reserve area. Food was plentiful and fresh. We were able to try " Sante "one of the reserve restaurant for those staying on the upgraded rooms. We tried both breakfast and lunch there- but our favorite was lunch! Try the catch of the day and shrimp mango...delicious! And have the bartender surprise you with a drink of his specialty. This restaurant it's Mediterranean style at night-which opens for the rest of the guests. This became our favorite place to go for dinner, the other restaurants in the property were a Japanese ,Italian (Capella) and Mexican (Cielo) For our surprise my second favorite restaurant was the Italian, then Japanese and last the Mexican. Service was good overall. We had Selene both on the Capella (Italian) and Sante (Mediterranean) and she was wonderful and their desserts were great!!! It's a great idea to have a popsicle cart by the pool and lobby-Love this around !! Specifically when it's so hot -a popsicle it's the right thing to grab. Beach: it is swimmable and grainy. If you want to take a walk on the beach bring water shoes. Always follow lifeguard instructions for jellyfish or other critters and water conditions. This hotel is at the "corridor" meaning half way to Cabos San Lucas (25 minutes south) and San Jose del Cabo ( 25 minutes north) highly recommend head to San Jose on Thursday for the art festival. Entertainment at the resort was good . Jesus had the mornings activities and the DJ was ok during the day with some current tunes and some oldies. The resort had different activities every night. (Like karaoke)...This is not a party hotel, if you want to party, you need to head out to Cabo San Lucas for that. We loved that fact that it had enough activity but not all night. Pretty relaxed atmosphere. As a kind reminder: even though it's not mandatory...please don't forget to bring tip money, they greatly appreciate this. Overall experience was 9/10. There are 2 hotels - Grand Velas (family-oriented) and Grand Velas Boutique (adults only). We stayed in the Grand Velas since most of the restaurants are located in the main hotel. From the vacation experience agent, Leonila, to our guest experience agent Thamara, to our personal concierge, Tony, this journey was destined for success. We enjoyed working with each person, even prior to our arrival. The car service arranged through the hotel was smooth except for the outer-bands, post-hurricane sudden downpour at the airport. It's weather so what can you do about it? I understand such events are infrequent in Cabo, however. Both drivers were friendly and conversational. The resort is beautiful with curved walkways, 3 outdoor pools, with at least 1 outdoor large jacuzzi, and a tropical landscape. The infinity edge of the adult pool extended its view into the ocean! There is also a Teen Clubroom and a children's play area near the family pools. It is a well-staffed property with pleasant and polite team members at every level. If we happened to lose our way, the staff not only provided directions but took the time to walk with us to our destination!!! Tony, our personal concierge was in constant communication and our go-to for questions and support. He elevated our anniversary celebration by providing us with several personalized surprises! The luxury spa (the water journey was very relaxing), a reserved photoshoot (beautiful and professional photos), and wonderful poolside service, including a frozen treat cart and in-pool (literally) cocktail service, were all worth the time. Two tips: 1) I recommend boxing out a couple of hours for post -water journey relaxation to enjoy the benefits of this detoxing, muscle stimulating, de-stressing experience. 2) plan for 2 appointments for the photoshoot, first for the shoot, a second, to select your photos. I've seen reviews of other all-inclusive properties where guests say after 3 days, they tire of the food choices. You will not have that problem here. Depending on your activity schedule you could easily spend 5 days here and not get bored. Looking forward to returning here as it was at the top of the list for vacation experiences.

My idea would by like the smoking and non-smoking sections in a restaurant; sure you're not "protected" against kids but you have a greater chance of being separated from them. Besides all the amazing all-inclusive food, my favorite part of each restaurant were the views.

Upon checking in, they will take your bags for you and offer you a welcome drink. They'll also scan your passports. The rooms are very pretty! A classic Spanish, almost Greek style - there's beautiful tiles all around and lots of colorful flowers in every corridor. The rooms all have a couch, living room area, kitchen with microwave and small fridge, and a small dining area. There's free coffee and creamer and they give lots of water bottles. Restrooms are very modern and pretty. There is hot water. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, soaps are all provided. Towels are changed everyday. There are also robes in the closet + hangars if you need. The service is pretty great here. We asked for multiple things throughout our stay (like a wine opener, straws, etc) and they were super accommodating. Everyone is very very friendly and nice. There's a pool area which was very beautiful. No jacuzzi, but its so hot anyway. You can order meal service by the pool - alcohol, smoothies, cocktails, you name it. We also got a hotel add-on for a picnic - picnic blankets under large beach umbrellas on their grass so you're not sitting directly in the sun. They serve charcuterie, a few bottles of wine, and some delicious chicken sandwiches. The meals here are ok. For dinner, I got the pork belly tacos and the pulled pork tacos. Both were ok but the price is hefty (about $11 per taco)! The free continental breakfast in the mornings is not bad. There's a buffet area with lots of fruit, granola, pastries, and some hummus/chips. You can also order eggs, omelets, bacon, sausage, and hash browns. Overall, I'd give their meals a 3/5. The next time I'm in Cabo, I would want to try an all-inclusive resort. But for non-all-inclusive, it was nice to stay here. I recommend it!

I highly recommend shopping deals and booking when the resort offers upgrades or utilize your Expedia or credit card benefits and upgrade your room-it means upgrading your entire experience. If you are concerned about privacy with a swim up room, don't be, we have never had an issue with other guest doing "swim bys". I HIGHLY suggest looking at the hotel map before you book, do not get a room near the walkway or golf cart road-you will have traffic all day and most of the night. The breakfast buffet is well worth attending, with dining outdoors a bit too toasty in the summer months, look for a spot inside or a table with an umbrella. The shop on site offers everything you need "just in case", and the prices are more than fair. Let's start with the room. Ours featured white patching on the closet wall, fixtures that looked like they hadn't been polished since the early 2000s, and a safe that opened only when it felt spiritually aligned. The ironing board cover looked like it had been part of a forensic investigation, and the iron was missing a knob -- which I assume fell off sometime around 2018 and nobody bothered to replace. The drinks were so watered down I'm convinced the bartenders are trying to keep guests hydrated for liability reasons. I've had stronger beverages at a toddler's birthday party. And speaking of beverages -- I injured my tongue on a chipped glass. Not a tiny chip either. This wasn't even the only cracked or chipped drinking utensil I found. At this point, I started wondering if the resort was running a secret "guess which glass is safe" challenge. Then there was the cookie‑jar incident. I accidentally broke the glass cover on a cookie display and they tried to charge me $30 USD to replace it. I explained it was an accident and asked them to show me the security footage so we could walk through what exactly I was supposed to do differently. Shockingly, they didn't take me up on that offer. The "24‑hour" Coco Café? It closes early, and the ice cream machine gets shut down at night because they "don't want to clean it later." Truly inspiring hospitality. And let's not forget the timeshare reps, who are so pushy they could probably sell sand to the beach. Even when you tell them upfront you're not buying, they treat it like a personal challenge. The staff themselves were wonderful -- genuinely the best part of the stay -- but they're working in a resort that desperately needs updates, maintenance, and a management team that actually walks the property. And just to confirm this wasn't a one‑off, we stayed in the penthouse at Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta, and that property was also a dump. So apparently this is a theme with older Hyatt all‑inclusive resorts in Mexico. Come for the views. Stay for the stories. Leave wondering how Hyatt signed off on any of this. FORGOT TO MENTION: 1.
