I have been going to LaSal for many many years. With 3 daughters we had plenty of special dresses that needed to be dry cleaned. We have entrusted many a special dress including my daughter wedding dress to LaSal. Each one coming back in beautiful condition, like new. My mother passed and I found a dress she had worn over 60 years ago that needed much TLC. I did not hesitate to take it to LaSal. Mubih as always he explained what needed to be done. I left this precious dress with him know it would be fine. I wish I had a photo of the dress before so you can see the magic he did to make it like new. When I went to pick it up, I was told that there would be no charge. Mubih, the owner, was not there. The next day I called back to make sure. Mubih explained that he remember that this dress was my mom's dress and that he couldn't charge for that. I can't explain how special this is. The fact that I can wear a dress my mom wore many years ago, means the world to me. Not only is LaSal an amazing company but they have a heart of gold. read more

Had some jeans hemmed for a next day pick up and asked for original hem. The pants I received were hemmed terribly. The stitching is crooked along all sides, no straight lines, and the inner edge of the original hem is so thick that there is a visible crease along the boot that makes the jeans look sloppy. I asked the seamstress why they looked this way and the response I received was that "this is how I do it." Original hem was $30 + tax at the end of the day, but they did initially try to charge me $45 in the initial ticket, not sure if it was an honest mistake or price gauging. Ultimately this was a simple job that could have been done better and cheaper elsewhere, can't really recommend this place. read more

I took a dress to get fitted and dry cleaned ... the seamstress did a great job however the dry cleaners tore a whole infront of the dress .. i noticed immediately .. they charged $72 dollars for the service .. the seamstress offered to repair it but of course its not the same .. i requested a refund and it was denied.. i ended up having to go buy a new dress for my event ..my family and myself will never go there again read more

Fast service and great customer service. I think the manager's name was Abid who helped me. Very kind man and when I let him know I needed these on rush order he made sure to get them done FAST. I came in late in the afternoon and needed them the next day and they made it happen. Fairly priced as well. This business was referred to us by my brother-in-law 12 years ago and we have been using them, without fail, since. My husband likes his dress shirts pressed, folded and boxed, as he travels quite a bit and they always are done great. Also my husband's Tommy Bahama silk shirts always come out looking fantastic. I have much less dry cleaning but what I send always looks great. And, as an added bonus, there is a tailor on site. She does a great job at a very reasonable rate. read more

We took a wedding dress here to be altered. The seamstress destroyed the dress to the point where we had to have another dress over nighted to us one week before the wedding. The owner, Abid Porbanderwalla, did not seem to care about this issue, and would not return our phone calls. The seamstress tried to blame her mistake on the dry cleaner side, stating they accidentally pulled out the stitching. I would not trust them to alter anything of importance. read more

I've visited this place three times. The first time the clerk was phenomenal. My two last times I was disrespected twice by Lipsa (I can't remember her exact name, but its similar to this). During my first dealing w/ Lipsa, I walked in the store and she didn't say Hello and barely acknowledge me with her eyes. I waited for her to greet me, but to no avail, I had to break the ice. While she was processing my order, I politely/jokingly brought up her refusal to greet me. She made an excuse. I took a brand new dress my daughter wore once to be dry cleaned. Upon pickup I noticed the entire decorated pearl and rhinestone neckline was missing. I complained and they stated that the dress was dropped off this way. My 11 year old daughter decided to look in a button draw she was standing next to, and guess what she found? Yes a few (4-5) of the pearls with the threading still attached sitting right on top. Never got a straight story as to what happened. $60 dress ruined and they charged me $18 to have it cleaned. I had used this cleaners for tailoring and alterations for many years. Maria, who did the alterations, ruined my daughters Sweet 16 dress. She made half the dress shorter than the other side, with no way to lengthen it back to the correct length, as my daughter is 5'10". She kept telling me that she could not see that the dress was shorter and that it was fine. My daughter walked out in tears as they made her so upset. It was not fine, it was very visible and after convincing us to leave the dress for a few more days, she made several other mistakes on the dress when she tried to "fix" it. She undid one of shoulder straps and lengthened them leaving stitch marks in the fabric on one side, on the other side, she had to actually sew more fabric to the strap to lengthen it, so you could see the stitching across the strap and the dress was still lopsided. There were other issues she caused rendering the dress not useable. We tried to obtain more fabric to redo the skirt and straps, but, the fabric was no longer available. We had to order an entire new dress, have it rushed in, as we were getting close to the date of her party. We asked them to pay for the dress, they refused and tried to charge me for the alterations. I refused and they told me to just take the dress and leave. I will never go back there. I referred many, many people to her and to La Sal cleaners and our family used them as well. The management/owners could care less and refuses to return my repeated phone calls, as I am told every time I call, that they are not there. I no have no choice but to file a lawsuit to recover the money I had to pay for the new dress. I cannot even express how terribly disappointed I am with them. read more

Terrible service!!!! My family and I have been a loyal customer of la sal for over 15 years. They made a mistake on a price for a dress I had altered. They refused to wave the fee and charged double the price they had previously told me. The manager, has a terrible attitude and told me "well,you should have taken a ticket". I asked for a ticket and Maria told me and my friend "we just take name and number". I can't explain the shock I was in to experience someone speaking to me the way ari did and how uncaring he was. This is the absolute best dry cleaner I have ever worked with ( many many years!) I call them the "magicians", if they can't fix it, NO ONE will. I brought back a Pucci dress from Berlin, my sister washed it by hand and the colors bled. The best and most expensive dry cleaner for the stars would not touch it! (if you think we pay too much, you should try Europe!) My dress is spotless! My sister could not believe her eyes. Every shirt and jacket comes back with stuffed arms with silk paper, cashmere sweaters , OMG, they shave the little imperfections, they come back like new. Went here to get my jeans tapered. The first lady up front seemed to ignore me several times before I manage to get her attention. She then pointed me to someone else. I asked the next lady how much it would be to taper my jeans, she ignored my question, and just took my jeans and trying to make small talk. I asked her like 3 more times, each time she avoided the question, until after some more annoying attempts at small talk she just handed me a bill for $34 and told me it'd be ready in two days. I find it hilarious that yelp has their only 3 5-star reviews firstin yet the rest of their reviews are all 0 stars and complain about similar situations to the experience that ive had with them. My husband has had pants hemmed that looked nothing like the original hemline, we stopped getting our pants hemmed there. More recently I brought in a dress that had a stain and showed them the stain, $30 later, i picked the dress up and a few days later noticed the stain was still there. At this point, after my husband foolishly threw out his stained shirts, i realized how crappy their work is. I bravely soaked my dress in oxy-clean and handwashed it. The stain came out. Now im wondering if they ever even cleaned the dress and shirts or if they just threw them to be pressed. Now yesterday i brought in a down comforter, $80 easy, told them about my dress and wanted to make sure that this item would be actually cleaned. The owner decided to lecture me about how stains dont come out and said my dress was basically non-existent. I told him he had no sense of customer service and that he should reevaluate his idea of what it takes to run a business as there are tons of cleaners down the street, he cut me off and told me to go down the street. I left fuming called my husband who said they sucked anyway find a new one , and a friend who laughed and said she hated that place too !
